"I stayed at Hotel Schloss Ort prior to a cruise in the winter. It was a gorgeous hotel! So beautiful to stay in and with friendly staff. There isn't much space for a car, which was not an issue for me. The view was absolutely stunning. I did have breakfast at the hotel, which was an additional cost. It was mainly cold cuts, bread rolls, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, and cheeses. It was convenient as other restaurants were about a 20-minute walk away. There was a nice steakhouse nearby and a pizza shop not too far away. It does have an elevator as well, which was helpful for the luggage. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only improvement would be a kettle in the room, but I believe tea and coffee could be had downstairs in the dining room."

"Exceptionally located and friendly hotel right on the river walkway. A beautiful stroll to many outdoor eateries just few scenic steps away. Hotel included breakfast was outstanding. A big shoutout to the night desk clerks who were the recipients of my 12 hour time difference correspondence. My e-mails were answered within hours! In every other hotel, the e-mails were answered in two days. No complaints really, but the Hotel Koenig was above and beyong. Would love to return any time."

"Breakfast was very mediocre... Mostly greasy and there was no choice of bread types. The bathroom was very dirty and there was water in the sink from the previous occupants... sheets were standing and clearly not washed... I think the bed had only been made. I know this hotel from a few years ago and back then it was a very good hotel with an excellent breakfast... I wouldn't go back"

"The lobby is beautiful and there are comfortable sitting areas both inside and outside. The room was bright and smelled clean and fresh. There were little chocolates and earplugs on our pillows. The bathroom was small, but comfortable and had little amenities such as shower caps, lotion and sponges. The shower door did leak, though. There was a lovely minibar in the room with drinks and snacks that were reasonably priced. Parking was a problem. There is a garage, but the incline is so steep, that we couldn't drive down it without damaging the car. We had to find parking on the street. The hotel was located a little farther away from the city center as we thought, but not really bad. It's a nice walk downhill and over a bridge."

"The location of the hotel restaurant is lovely, and they have both German and English menus. But the food is not of the quality you'd expect for the prices. I ordered from the spargel (asparagus) menu, a spring specialty, and I got overcooked asparagus with packaged Hollandaise sauce that was virtually inedible. For 10 Euros, I'd expect homemade Hollandaise. The fish was better, but nothing special."
