Auberge de Jeunesse HI Serre-Chevalier

📍 Chemin du Cavaillou, 2, La Salle Les Alpes
★★ 8.4 (26 reviews)

"I stayed for two nights at the youth hostel and all the 5 staff members I met were absolutely amazing - friendly, helpful, informative. They helped me with charging my phone when I lost my belongings, catching the bus to Grenoble, and advised me on how to have the best snowboarding experience. I'd go back if i could!"

Club Vacances Bleues les Alpes d'Azur

Club Vacances Bleues les Alpes d'Azur

📍 1 Rte de Briançon, La Salle Les Alpes
★★★ 8.8 (53 reviews)

"This is our second year here. Both times we have enjoyed the truly French nature of the hotel, with a great french style buffet and friendly staff. Pool (a bit cold!) and steam room are a great hit. Very few English people in the hotel - but that is part of the charm! Car helps but ski bus is perfectly fine if you don't have one."

Hotel de La Gare

Hotel de La Gare

📍 20, Rue du Rail, Eygliers

"Well-located hotel, easy parking, and a perfect welcome. Prompt service, early check-in, and a two-hour afternoon rest. Quite friendly and family-friendly."

Le Grand Aigle Hotel & Spa

Le Grand Aigle Hotel & Spa

📍 54 Chem. du Cavaillou, La Salle Les Alpes
★★★★ 8.4 (68 reviews)

"Not the 4* standards was expecting Room ok Bathroom ok again no room to manoeuvre We arrived at 10.15pm there wasn't anywhere around for food or anything in the area that was open that late, Even the hotel didn't have anything for guests arriving late Dining room got turned away as they were fully booked. Taxi was a big problem and waited ages for a taxi ,when we eventually got one Very expensive to go a 15 minute journey Spa well it's 45 mins for a jacuzzi and sauna in a little corner of the cave which is charged at €20 per person Very disappointed Musty smell on stairwell drainage or something"

Anova Hotel & Spa

Anova Hotel & Spa

📍 511 Rue de l'Obélisque, Montgenevre
★★★ 8.2 (42 reviews)

"The Anova is a well priced high quality establishment that is on the piste at The Obelisque run served by a drag lift. You can also walk 80m away from the town at the bottom of the Obelisque to get right on the blue for Tremplin lift over to the other side of the valley and a green to Claviere. The service at this hotel is spot on, everyone from the bar staff, reception, ski hire shop, restaurant and house keepers are all friendly and excellent at their jobs. The outside terrace snack bar is well priced. The main restaurant serves high quality meals, and the half board daily dinner menu is extremely varied, high quality, and good value."

"Unfortunately NOT value for money, because of the poor cleaning facilities. You have to demand cleaning and when cleaning finally comes , the same used feet towels were hunged in the place of face towels. You have to go to the reception to give your used towels to take new ones … We stayed 5 days and they never changed any sheet. Food and breakfast was OK and the location was good."

Hotel de La Gare ★★
"Suitable for a one-night stop on a trip; along the national road, but with sheltered parking for motorcycles and an attached restaurant (two not indifferent value points). Professional staff, good value for money. Room a little minimal but for a "hit and run" it's fine. Restaurant prices a little high, you can reasonably opt for pizza (which is still good, not a given when you're abroad)."

Le Grand Aigle Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Great venue for ski in and out of slopes. it is a clean hotel but rooms are small. Bed is big and comfortable. You pay to access the sauna and it is nice, but it is 40e a go for a couple. My top tip, if you like your food, breakfast is good and plenty of bread! All food is fresh and well cooked but dinner is served in small portions which is fine normally but not on a calorie burning ski trip, so eat good lunches on the mountain!!"

"we opted to invest more for a large area. By the time they figured out where to park, the children had taken possession of the place. But when it was time to breathe, we noticed that the apartment had a large attic. we did not have a balcony as desired. also, the single window between 2 enormous attics did not let in any light. worse, we observe each other with the living room of the villa opposite, which prompts us to draw the curtains. we must live in the light of the lampshade. We contacted reception and they did not make a change of apartment possible (cost of cleaning) under the cover of supposedly invoicing the owner of the apartment. So we will share with you the apartment to flee, in order to invalidate this pretext."

Anova Hotel & Spa ★★★
"Travel. We arrived via Crystal ski transfer and used a local service, SNOWCAB to get back to Turin airport. This was €50 per head. Location. Hotel Anova is conveniently located around a 10 minute walk from the centre. There is a shuttle bus to run you around should you need. It’s ski in, ski out with the button lift accessible directly from outside the ski room. Access to the main slopes is a short ski down to the bubble lift. The rooms. The rooms at HA are modern and arty. We stayed in a double room with a balcony that offered views of the slopes below and the surrounding peaks. There is good storage and hanging space offered, along with a safe. The bed was comfortable and offered a square or rectangular pillow. The bathroom featured a large walk in shower which was lovely and warm and had good pressure. Soap and shampoo bars were provided, along with herbal tea and coffee facilities. Towels robes and slippers were provided for the spa. The bar. Good variety of drinks served at the usual prices. Friendly and efficient staff. NOTE: We ordered a bottle of house red wine, which was charge at €67. I would recommend checking the wine list prior to ordering any bottles. Spa. The spa is free to guests from 10am to 2pm, after 2pm there is a charge of €20 per person, per day. We did use the spa one morning which offers a pool, sauna, steak room and hot tub. It was clean, modern and we had an enjoyable time. The restaurant. And now we come to the part that lets the hotel down, although i am sure if you were just visiting to use the restaurant, you’d likely have a pleasant experience. Breakfast The breakfast was a buffet, offering either pod or bean to cup coffee, a range of teas and freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit or apple juice which you do yourself - which was fun and extremely tasty! There was a range of fresh breads, meats, cheese, fruit, granola, spreads, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon offered daily. There wasn’t really much effort made to provide anything extra for dietary requirements, but I managed to make eggs on toast by semi boiling an egg and scrambling on my plate. I also throughly enjoyed the granola, cereal and nut selection, and almond milk was provided. Dinner The food was very tasty and appeared to be freshly cooked with good ingredients, and there is a good choice. However, being a half board guest is extremely complicated especially if you have dietary requirements. After a 7 night stay, we still hadn’t fully grasped how they work their menu out. HA offer a 3 course, menu of the day for dinner, which changes daily. During the week we were here, there wasn’t a single vegetarian main option on this menu. However, you can choose to eat outside of the daily menu and can pick from half of the full menu. When you do this you sacrifice your starter (unless you pay a supplement), even if you have a dietary requirement and are left no choice. I have to mention the curly haired waitress we had at the start"
