"I booked this hotel because I wanted to watch Ishikawa Yuki's volleyball match in Perugia. I was able to get to the match venue in less than 30 minutes using the mini-metro. It was a very cute hotel, and the bathrooms were clean. Also, an espresso machine and bread were prepared in the room, and although I had to leave early the next day, I was grateful that I could get up early and have a leisurely breakfast. The only things that bothered me were the noise of the ventilation fan and the lack of curtains, but these weren't particularly big issues. Above all, the owner was very kind. He even told me what to do if I got home late after visiting tourist attractions or watching a volleyball match, so I was able to stay there in a very comfortable and safe environment."

"My wife and I have been staying at borgo dei conti for two weeks. We regularly stay in 5 star exclusive hotels, but none of them has ever positively impressed us like Il borgo dei conti. Everything here is simply EXCEPTIONAL, from the stunning beauty of this medioeval castle, superbly refurbished, and the cosy and elegant rooms, to the impeccable service and customer care ( everyone is so kind and responsive and makes you feel truly special ), to the deliciousness of the food, so genuine, fresh and tasty and amazingly presented, to the vicedirector Francesco, who is constantly on his feet, making sure everything runs smoothly and entertaining guests with his kind manners and humour. We have no doubt we’ll be back every year. To everyone who wishes to experience an authentic italian holiday encompassing the best that a 5 star place can offer, I will definitely recommend you il borgo dei conti!"

"Soaking-Up The Umbrian Countryside We spent a very pleasant 3 nights at this small, charming bed & breakfast. The rooms at the Borgo Mandoleto were large and tastefully decorated in a countryside theme. The grounds were beautiful, and there were many places (including the swimming pool) to sit with a coffee or an aperitivo and soak-up the beautiful Umbrian countryside. There is a good restaurant next to the B&B, and several sites [Perugia, La Citta della Pieve, Lago di Trasimeno, and Solemeo (for a wonderful aperitivo)] are within a short drive. Donatella was a gracious hostess who served a nice breakfast (the tortes are not to be missed) with very good English."

"Small and quaint accommodation establishment located right outside Perugia, in a quiet setting with beautiful surroundings and views. Breakfast was very good and staff were very nice and helpful. The only drawback is that since it is an old building, there is no lift. For the rest, I would definitely recommend for those staying at Perugia."

Le Cappuccinelle Suites&Spa
"We have just returned from a week-long stay at Le Cappucinelle and our experience has been truly wonderful. From the rural setting, beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, and amazing spa, everything about this place, including the best smelling towels, sparked joy. However, what really stood out for us was the staff, exhibiting genuine kindness and true hospitality. Melissa at the front desk providing us with great advice on places to visit and getting around, Erjon whose humour and lightheartedness lifted our spirits (and definitely has a future career as a film director), and Ana with her impeccable English, undertaking various phone calls on our behalf. Breakfast was a great selection of local and organic produce, overseen by the lovely and kindhearted Monika and Danila, both attending to our needs on a daily basis. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute drive from Perugia city centre and provides a great base to explore the various surrounding towns on the Umbrian countryside. If there is one area that I would like to see improve is to provide residents with more economical options for dinner onsite. With such an abundance of food choices around, the restaurant has opted for Haute Cuisine, which carries a massive premium. However, just by virtue of its location, the hotel does not really cater to passing trade and would benefit instead from offering a more competitive menu that would encourage hotel guests to dine in than seek alternatives. That said, we loved Le Cappuccinelle and already plan to return at the next opportunity (with thanks Melissa for showing us all our room options! :-)). We can only but highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place for refuge and relaxation in this beautiful part of world."

"Information on this hotel stated that it is 0.6 miles into Perugia and the receptionist advised it was a 10 minute walk. The walk entailed walking down a very busy dangerous road, through a wooded area on an unmade path, up and down a few alleyways which brought us to the worst part of Perugia. Being in our late 70’s this proved a nightmare. After a long journey we were looking forward to coffee only to be told there is no coffee, only tea and no milk. Explained to the receptionist on booking that we needed a ground floor room because of our walking difficulties (all rooms are on the ground floor) she omitted to tell us that the breakfast room was down 2 flights of stairs. There is no restaurant or bar at this hotel or the surrounding area. If you wanted a morning/afternoon coffee or a lunch time meal there is nothing, only bottled water in the fridge. So it was quite expensive to taxi into town for lunch and dinner. There is a terrace where you can have breakfast but it is dirty and overgrown with weeds. We checked out 3 days early and came home. No bathrobes."

"Liked · Beautiful and stylish art-deco style hotel with modern touches, and you can feel that it's newly renovated. The location of this hotel is great, right in the heart of Perugia and right in the main shopping street leading up to the main town square. The overall ambiance in this hotel is great! Breakfast was very good, with many fresh options to choose from and a very nicely and dreamy decorated breakfast room. We really enjoyed the fact that you could have breakfast up untill 11.00 o'clock, as this gives you the opportunity to sleep in if you like to. The restaurant waiting staff was also very kind and welcoming. The room is spacious enough and very clean. We got some local chocolates as a welcome gift, and the room came with one complementary water bottle a day. There was also a clothes steamer in the room which was quite nice, as clothes can come out of the suitcase quite wrinkled. Disliked · During check-in, we were said to be given a free room upgrade. However, when arriving in the room, I could not see what the upgrade was as this appeared to be the exact room type that we booked. Still a great room though! We knew this when booking in advance but a small minus when travelling by car is that this hotel has no private parking. However, you could use public parking Piazza Partigiani down the hill, which is only a small walk and can be reached in 5-10 minutes by taking about 5 escalators. The AC in the room was a bit strong, as it was pointed right onto the bed. As we had a room on one of the high floors, the room heat up quite fast. Also, the room came with an enormous terrace but there was no outdoor furniture."

"Our family sojourn at Hotel Sacro Cuore was exceptional. We stayed almost two weeks and loved every minute. From the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff, to the thorough daily cleaning of our room, and the great food we enjoyed, we had a wonderful vacation. That's without considering that the hotel sits atop one of the most scenic locations of Perugia, with sweeping views of the Tiber Valley and the Appennini Mount Range. Hotel Sacro Cuore is easy to reach and only a short bus ride from the historic center of Perugia. We can't wait to spend more time there next time we are in Italy."

"Horrible, inedible food. Poor-quality rooms. Not recommended. The bathroom had a toilet that opened onto the shower. Back to the food, they couldn't even make fries. The bathroom shower was broken. The television is at least from the 1970s. Highly not recommended."
