AMI Hotel Budva – Petrovac

"A lovely hotel, with good facilities and helpful staff. A great location, just a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants. Our room was lovely, it was a junior suite and had amazing space. The only thing we didn’t like was the large aircon unit on the balcony. It made it almost impossible to sit on it. Also, the balcony was slippy at times as the unit leaked. The positives: excellent breakfast, with a really good choice! Really clean room and communal areas. Lovely beach area, with beds and umbrellas. Mostly friendly staff (the bar staff were a bit grumpy and seemed to be a bit under pressure. Beach/pool towels provided. Lots of sun bathing areas (just not around the pool!) Negatives: pool area very cramped (we went to the beach lots). Some of the housekeeping was hit and miss! Although the room was very clean, things weren’t replaced, such as toilet roll, soap, tissues, bottled water. This was a slight inconvenience but also a little annoying! Would definitely recommend Petrovac, a lovely beach front town with lots of restaurants to choose from!"

Hotel Eleven

"We changed to this hotel at the last minute for the start of our holiday In Montenegro and very glad we did. The hotel is situated only 5 minutes walk from the pedestrianised promenade which was a godsend in the heat. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to park our hire car in the underground car park. Our room was on the third floor - a spacious apartment. There is a small but deep pool surrounded by olive trees and we swam every afternoon. There is a very pleasant area to relax with comfy chairs and tables Despite its prime position the hotel is quiet. Breakfast was a good buffet. Petrovac is a lovely seaside town with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops and we enjoyed pottering about for a couple of days. Recommended."

Hotel WGrand

"Very nice hotel. The room was nice, perfect airconditioned. Equipped with a small refigerator and a safe. Clean towels every day. The personell in the reception and during breakfast was very serviceminded and friendly. You can order breakfastbag if you are going on an early trip. Ask in the reception they day before. They offer transport to/from the airport in Podgorica for 55 euro. Highly recommended."

"On the plus side the staff were great, but after that it’s not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination. Hotel is very dated. The pool was not clean, and I did not see anyone use it . The gardens are full of large trees which make it dark and the sap makes the chairs and tables sticky. It also attracts lots of bitey flies and we got really bitten every day. The hotel is overlooked by two unfinished hotels , which is awful. There was a tureen collecting water from a pipe in the dining room. The breakfast is okay, but the dinners were awful. The food was always cold, nothing choice and they don’t even serve drinks with dinner, only a glass of water when you ask for it. The view from our room was a pile of rubbish!"

Hotel Riva by Aycon

"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Riva in Petrovac. The hotel is beautiful, and the cleanliness is absolutely spotless. All the staff were kind, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and of very high quality. We tried many different dishes, and even though Petrovac offers plenty of restaurants, we always came back for dinner at the hotel – it was simply that good (hotel guests also receive 10% off meals). Breakfast had everything you could wish for, including freshly made omelets prepared to your liking. Sunbeds on the beach need to be reserved a day in advance, with a cost of €15 (50% off for hotel guests). They are kept reserved until noon, which is very convenient. The only downside is that the beach itself can get very crowded – for this reason, September is probably the best time to visit Petrovac. This is truly a boutique hotel where you feel like a valued guest and not just a number. The owner, Peter, often came to chat with us, which made us feel appreciated. On the beach, we enjoyed fruit and drinks several times, with attentive service from the staff. If you are planning a visit to Petrovac, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Riva – it made our holiday truly memorable."

"Friendly, kind and helpful staff. Spacious apartments with excellent powerful showers. Breakfast on the beach in a small lovely restaurant; most delicious wood oven pizza and fresh fish for lunch and dinner. Coffee could be better. Overall a very good experience. We enjoyed our stay.Beach"

Hotel Danica

"Hotel is not the newest one and rooms facilities are a bit outdated and after their prime time although well maintained. In my opinion altogether the value for money is great. Location is exceptional. Almost can’t be closer to the coast with lovely old center of the town with restaurants. On the other hand very quiet since it is a dead end street for traffic and the beginning of hiking sightseeing path. Rooms are clean. Most important staff is extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful. We were traveling with bikes. They offered us a covered parking below the terrace. Our booked room, although sufficient, was quite small for three. Since it was not high season and the hotel was not full they also offered us free upgrade with additional room. They provided us with information about local history, places to see, restaurants and suggestions for dinner which proved to be perfect. We stayed only one night since were only passing through but we liked Petrovac na moru and in case I will go there again I will definitely stay in hotel Danica again. "

"Definitely visit the beauty salon. Lina is an amazing stylist, best in town, she also speaks good English which is a plus. She coloured my hair and did the blow dry from me with straightening, very quick, professional and high quality. Noted that they also use really good hair products and have a wide range of hair colours, even the hair dye without ammonia."
