"Very poor service And managers don’t care No safety measures in place In the ladies toilets I cut my finger on a sharp edge on a door which shouldn’t be there. I don’t know how it passed safety I asked to speak to manager and no one has come I told one of the staff members it’s really hurting and need to see nurse…. Nothing again Yesterday I went out for walk in the evening. Earlier in day I had informed guest relations k wanted water in room. When I got back no water. I went to reception and was told they are busy with large group check in. Then was told they have VIP guests arriving. The left me sitting 20 minutes in reception after having been out in the hot weather and having walked for one hour. This morning I went for breakfast and when asked for fresh fruit they don’t have. It’s a spa and they have no fresh fruit. I didn’t say anything. Then I asked for orange juice and was told no orange juice. No staff available to attend as too busy attending to their vip guests. It’s been over 20 mins and no manager has come to see me and no update on seeing a nurse either. Very very disappointed. I travel a lot and have been to many spa resorts but this place is shocking. Can’t wait to leave. Looking at flights to get out of here. Only been here 2 nights and had booked to stay 5 nights what a waste of money coming here."

"Unpretentious hotel, clean, furnishings in need of updating, breakfast that could be improved. The room was equipped with all comforts, even if very basic! I also had dinner at the hotel: the menu is rich but the standard is Slovakian. For a single night, it's not bad."

"Grand Hotel, Piešťany. Stay from November 3–6, 2025. Two persons. A very disappointing experience at a property rated as 4 stars but not reflecting that standard at all. • Room never cleaned during three days, fridge switched off and full of mold. • Bathroom in terrible condition: limescale in the toilet, mold in the shower, small and impractical sink, unhygienic fittings. • Breakfast poor and of low quality; shockingly, coffee was charged as an extra despite being included. • Relaxation area with jacuzzi dirty and neglected. • Safe unstable and insecure, easily removable. In summary: neglected property, inadequate services, and quality far below expectations. The four-star rating is completely unjustified."

"I was there for the 3rd time, this time with my daughter to have some relax in thermal town. I have chosen again this hotel for its services, restaurant, nice position in the park. And especially for the free swiming pool open from early morning till late evening. Arrived on Saturday 23/05, all seemed OK. Sunday morning we went to swim, it was perfect. Monday morning we went to swim - the pool was empty, no announcement what is going on. The reception told us that it is an emergency, some leaks and will be closed for 3 days, till 27/05. Later the announcement only in Slovak language, nearby the lift. I wonder if the other foreigners have undersood something ... But more strange was the fact that these "some leaks" seemed the planned restoration of the pool, they painted the ceiling!!! And moreover, after some days I have read in the local paper that the Hotel welcomed the national congress of nurses, starting on 28/05. And also that on 31/05 there was a celebrating evening and dinner for the official opening of the thermal season, with the rappresentatives from the Municipal office and the friendship cities. So where is the truth? It seems that the hotel management decided to "make more pretty" some hotel's locations, the pool included, to show it to the guests. Because the leaks could be repaired in some hours, not 3 days. What is absolutely inaccepted that we, the guests with booked period, were not advised in time, I would change the period of our stay and not paid over 800 euros for inesisting service!!!"

"GITERMAN RIVA TND SEMION ISRAEL For the second year in a row, in June, my husband, our friends and I have come to beautiful Piešťany and stayed at Alameda Esplanade Hotel. What started as a holiday has already become a wonderful tradition that we look forward to every year. We truly love coming here. It is a place where we can relax, take care of our health, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and simply feel good. The friendly and welcoming staff, the cleanliness throughout the hotel and the beautiful surroundings make every stay very pleasant. We also really appreciate the varied and delicious food. This year, upon our arrival, we had a consultation with Dr. Glazachev Mykola, MUDr. We would like to express our special thanks to him for his professionalism, attentiveness and personal approach. He carefully considered each of our health conditions and prepared an individual course of treatments for us. We felt that we were in very good and caring hands. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the entire team at the Balnea Centre. Your kindness, attention and positive attitude create such a warm and relaxing atmosphere during the treatments. "We visited Piestany only for 1 day and stayed in Zuckman Villa apartment. We were surprised how beautiful is apartment designed. We ussually dont like to stay in different places other than our home, but this Place is unique and we felt very good in here. Location is in center of town and terraces were full of people in the evening. Very lively place. Thank you Zuckman villa, we will visit next time for sure. Branislav"

"The hotel is tired and it’s hard to tell who it’s aimed at. The outdoor pool had loud music blasting and was so full you couldn’t swim around, it was just full of miserable looking people bobbing around. It wasn’t the relaxing vibe you would expect at a spa. The food left a lot to be desired, they cooked with cheap cuts of meat like liver and turkey for lots of the main courses, the deserts were flavourless. The room was clean if the decor was a little tired. We had a baby cot set up in our room for some reason, which took up a lot of space. We were not travelling with a baby. The worst part of the experience was trying to leave. I asked to pre book a taxi for the following day to catch a train, I was told to just turn up the next day and they’d call one that would take 10 minutes. When we tried to check out (45 minutes before the train was due) we were asked to go to a different reception as there was nobody available to take money at the one we were at. It then took 20 minutes to check out, and when I asked for a taxi a phone call was made and I was told to wait outside. 15 minutes later no taxi had arrived so I went back inside to ask reception if they could find out what was happening. The man behind the desk was so rude, he practically snarled at me to wait outside as if I was being ridiculous for asking. The taxi never arrived, we missed our train, and caught a bus to the station to catch a later train as the reception staff were so unhelpful."
