Good selection of drinks and variety of starters, mains and deserts. I had pander starter, homestyle chicken curry main and Indian sweet with ice cream for desert. All very good."

"Had a lovely stay at the Potters Heron. Check-in was easy. My TV didn't work so I was given another room. Huge super comfortable bed. There was also a little private outdoor space which was a lovely surprise. Very clean. The mirror in the bathroom had a clever de-mist section. The shower wasn't very powerful but that was the only negative. The service was very good."

"From the outside, this guesthouse looked ok. We were met at the door by the owner, who gave us the relevant information before showing us to our room. We booked a deluxe double with ensuite. The furniture and soft furnishings were of a very high standard. The room was very small with no desk/dressing table, but it had all the essentials. The room was also very clean as I had read reviews on this site critising the cleanliness. The ensuite was also small, but the sink was unbelievably tiny. We had to fill the kettle with a glass. It was virtually impossible to wash your face as the sink was too close to the shelf under the mirror. There was no light above the mirror either. The overhead lighting was very dim in both the room and the ensuite. It was impossible for my husband to shave in the sink. Breakfast the following morning was a "help yourself" continental. A choice of 4 cereals, just orange juice, water, a kettle, toaster, filtered coffee maker , shop bought ready prepared chopped fruit, plus a few bananas apples and a couple of individually plastic wrapped croissants & pastries. No meat, cheese, or eggs of any kind. It was a very disappointing breakfast bearing in mind that we paid over £100 for the night. On the plus side, we had a very comfortable night's sleep, but we will not be returning. "
