"We stopped in on our way home from a day out, keen to see the newly renovated venue and try the new bar setup. We ordered two meals and drinks from the bar menu, which offered only a limited selection compared with the much more extensive restaurant menu. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. Service in the bar area was slow and inattentive, with staff appearing to focus primarily on hotel and restaurant guests. As a result, the bar felt overlooked and somewhat neglected. The food was average and did not make up for the lack of service. While the refurbishment looks impressive, the experience did not meet our expectations. For future visits, we’ll likely continue choosing other local bars and restaurants that provide better service and a more welcoming atmosphere."

"Had such a lovely lunch today at The Dog & Crook in Braishfield near Romsey. I went with a friend and we both had the curry, along with a few other dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and really generous portions too. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a long catch-up over lunch. We had such a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!"

"It’s very close to the Piggy Page Paradise. I don’t know if it’s recently, but it’s really close. It’s within walking distance. The room is clean, but it’s not as comfortable as the hotel. There are no toothbrushes, toothpaste slippers, and there is no front desk. You need to go to the gas station for 20 minutes. Buy, But the hotel itself is like a small restaurant, eating and drinking are also good, if you go to Piggy Page Paradise, it is very good to live."

"Lovely room, comfortable bed, huge TV. Ensuite bathroom was okay, could have done with some handsoap at basin. Greeting by owner was professional. Given advice on where to eat for the evening (I chose the pub within 15 min walk). Improvement would be to post a picture of the front of the house on the listing, as I drove up the street twice before I found it."
