"Our connecting flight was through Zurich, but unfortunately, it got cancelled and we had to stay overnight.
I chose a hotel mainly for its location and affordability since it was only for one night.
The receptionist gave us a room, and since we were already exhausted from traveling—it was around 9 p.m.—we just wanted to rest.
However, when we entered the room, it smelled like drainage and the bed looked as if it had already been used.
I had to go back down to explain the situation to the receptionist. Thankfully, another woman—she wasn’t very tall, had long hair, and dark skin—was extremely helpful and reassigned us to a clean room.
Meanwhile, I overheard multiple complaints about the first receptionist (the blonde, light-skinned one). Apparently, she even gave another guest a room that was already occupied"
"The room layout and amenities are consistent with a typical Holiday Inn Express. It's quite spacious. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and slippers. The breakfast is rich and plentiful. Airport pick-up is free, and drop-off is 10 CHF per person, with a 10-minute drive to the airport."
"For this price in Zurich, the room was quite spacious and very nice. It had central air conditioning, and the bedding was comfortable. However, for those traveling by car, an additional 31 Swiss francs per night for parking is truly a luxury – the parking fees are just too high."
"Basic, no-frills, hotel, with a very convenient 4-5 minutes walk from the Rumlang station (be sure to walk under the rail-tunnel to get to the hotel. Sheets and towels were excellent. Bed pillow was horribly soft. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient"
"We wanted to stay near the airport. It's about 12-15 minutes away by airport bus, can't walk. To take the bus to the hotel is free but from the hotel to the airport must pay 9CHF. The hotel rooms are small and not the newest. The single beds are very small so we pushed them together. They only give one pillow per bed. The curtains are ok but there is light coming in the whole night, it's not a great choice if you are sensitive to light. The bathroom wall is actually a window, and the curtain to block the window is too small. So if you need to use the toilet while your partner is sleeping then the light makes the whole room very bright. We did like that at all. The wall sockets to charge your phone are not very convenient .
Next door is a Mcdonald's. And across the street is a small strip mall with Aldi and Migros. To take an uber to the City Centre will take about 20 minutes. The local small train station is about 10 minutes away on foot."
