"The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from City Hall, and there's an A&W nearby for breakfast and lunch. There's a Chinese restaurant called 'Grand World' at the hotel, but we didn't try it. Our room was tidy, clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning and cooking facilities. The staff were very helpful and responsive, answering all our questions and accommodating our request for two quiet rooms. Parking is free. For less than 1000, it offers good value for money."

Holiday Inn VICTORIA – ELK LAKE by IHG

"The room was clean but basic. There was no kettle, just a basic coffee machine. Surprisingly, they didn't even provide bottled water. The Indian front desk guy was also very slow at check-in. After asking for various information to enter into a computer, he finally gave me a form to fill out again. This is the first time I've encountered such inefficient check-in in Canada. It's off-season, so there are many rooms available. They assigned me a room right next to the elevator. I asked if I could change it, but he said it would cost extra. I was completely speechless. Overall, my experience was average. I wouldn't recommend it."
