"The meals were delicious kaiseki cuisine. Mount Chokai was visible from the room. Rooms on the opposite side offer a panoramic view of the town. "Located in a quiet area with relatively little traffic, the hotel offers a view of Mount Chokai from the window. There's no sign for "Sakata Station Hotel" (or it's so small you might miss it); the signs for "Kidozen Cafe" and "Vent" are the landmarks. The entrance is a little hard to find, tucked away in the back of the property, and the reception is on the second floor. There's no elevator, so it might be a bit difficult for those with a lot of luggage. Parking is available around the building, free of charge for about 10 cars, on a first-come, first-served basis. During check-in, you may be asked to move your car depending on the check-out times of other guests. The rooms, especially the single rooms, are small, but personally, as I only needed a place to sleep, it wasn't a problem. There was a slight musty smell, but it was air-conditioned, simple, and clean. Amenities are available at the front desk, so you take what you need. Towels and bathrobes are available for a fee, so it's best to bring your own if you want to save money. The staff are friendly, and it seems you can have breakfast at the adjacent Kidozen Cafe. It looked delicious. When checking out, you pick up your car keys at the coffee shop. Therefore, it seems that very early departures require prior consultation. (Around 6 AM is OK.)"
