Best Hotels in Schweinfurt, Germany

The Kolpig movement is a social foundation. Therefore the hotel looks more like a hostel, bright, sleek and functional. From the parking lot you walk through a nice outdoor space (beer garden) to the reception desk. Everything looked very clean and well kept. Our room was quite small but well designed and so was the bathroom. The only chair stood in front of the desk, and it would have been nice to have a second seat. We found that there were rooms of different sizes for the same price. We stayed in 103 whereas our friends in 105 had much more space. We had comfortable beds and it was quiet at night. Unfortunately we could not try the restaurant because it was closed due to a private function. The breakfast the next morning was good with nice choices and very friendly staff. It’s less than 20 minutes to walk to the city. The receptionist recommended the “Naturfreundehaus” (Outdoor sitting only!) which was only a short walk away. The food was excellent! We certainly would stay in the Kolping hotel again!

We were on our city trip to a B&B hotel for a repeated time. But this time we had a little trouble with the room(103). Not only was it a disabled room, which was perfectly OK (rolling chair fair shower and toilet), but the location directly to the entrance was not exactly optimal. Many smokers that gathered and swallowed up before the door like the dolls, so it was not possible to kick the window without stirring in the room. In addition, the noise telling the smokers also helped you to open the window only in the night to enjoy a little fresh air and quiet. In addition, the hotel can have top location points. ( Directly opposite the shopping and restaurant miles), just as with a fair parking price!! But because of the poor location of the room, we do not have any further recommendation.

We spent 2 nights in one of the upgraded double rooms. Upon check in we were promptly greeted by a woman who spoke perfect English, she has been married to an American for 50 years after all. She directed us around to the parking where we could store our bikes. Upstairs we found our room to be clean, well appointed, and spacious. We really liked having the small refrigerator in the room but sure would have loved a small microwave as well. The bed was comfortable, we had a sofa and a chair (a second chair would be nice), the shower roomy and hot. The hotel location was perfect, almost next door to the central plaza and within easy walking distance to grocery stores, the train station, and the historical sites. We did not try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Our only complaint was that the air conditioner was a bit too small for the room. The room faced the west side and it got quite warm in the afternoon. We put the A/C temperature at 18 but the room never got below 24 and the fan was tepid at best. Otherwise it was a fine room for a 2 night stay

Despite Corona, everything was fine here. Beautiful large room where you could still work well. Also the breakfast service was pleasant and premature, the offer was varied. A small table lamp or lamp above the table would be a good supplement. The car can also be well accommodationd in the nearby parking house at the standard price.

Our youngest child unfortunately tripped and badly cut his head whilst at the hotel. In a flash on seeing him the hotel were out with bandages and ice packs and an ambulance was called, they were so incredibly helpful and understanding we can't thank them enough This over and above attention to detail and a lovely and warm welcome and always asking what more we needed Has always been so and have stayed there four times over the last 8 years turning up each time with an extra child Thank you

We didn't know that it was an older hotel because it was not specified anywhere. That was not a problem, but it would have been good to know that. Unfortunately we have to endlessly complain about the food. I have never experienced such a terrible choice of food. Nothing was fresh. The Gnocchi only resolved with maximum power from the served luff. If it is really an older hotel, I would like to have a healthyer, fresher food for the elderly. We tried to get back half of our pension because we refused to eat the food, including breakfast. Unfortunately, the service was not good enough to compensate us for their inadequacies. I DO NOT recommend eating here. The sauna landscape I can confirm it is very nice, but it's heated only at 14:00, which is an absolute joke for a wellness hotel. I can't recommend this hotel and wish the older guests to take healthy, fresh food.
