Mountain Design Hotel Eden Selva
9.5 (59 reviews)

Mountain Design Hotel Eden Selva ★★★★

📍 Strada Ciampinëi, 25, BZ, Selva di Val Gardena

"We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at this hotel. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, from check-in to dinner service. One night we got back extremely late, yet the staff stayed waiting to serve us dinner. Special thanks go to Aisa, who looked after our dinners every evening. She was so attentive and thoughtful, making us feel right at home. The room was a bit small and there's no pool, but it's a very cozy guesthouse. The hotel has an underground parking garage, though the entrance is quite small. The views from the first floor are absolutely beautiful. Right outside the hotel, you can hop on a cable car. This cable car takes you up, and from there it's just a 10-minute walk to the Dantercepies cable car. This route is a bit off the beaten path, but it takes you directly to the summit, and the scenery is breathtaking!"

📍 S.da Nives, 11, BZ, Selva di Val Gardena

"We are currently sitting at the hotel bar, and marveling at finding Hotel Granbaita. This place is simply fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the property is first rate. Our room was beautiful, with great amenities and views. The staff was beyond helpful arranging hiking and biking tours, and the hotel is perfectly located. We weren’t sure what to expect because we stumbled onto this property doing online research, but it is an absolute gem. Don’t miss it!"

Hotel Antares

Hotel Antares ★★★★

📍 Via Meisules 193, Selva di Val Gardena

"The hotel room is clean and spacious, with a kettle. Breakfast is a typical continental breakfast, which is quite rich. The hotel is large in size, with swimming pool, SPA, gym, etc. But the bathroom is not big and the shower room is a bit small."

Hotel Continental Dolomites

Hotel Continental Dolomites ★★★★

📍 Streda Dantercëpies, 40, Selva di Val Gardena

"This hotel is located absolutely perfectly next to the cabin lift and a short walk from Vallunga for cross-country skiing. Everything about the hotel is good, including rooms, outdoor pool and sauna/relax premises with adjacent rooms for table tennis and Italian football games. We also must complement both the breakfast selecting with fresh orange juice and health shots and the quality of the dinner which concentrate on good quality Italian food rather than trying to make an impression with fancy styling. The service is friendly and professional in every respect. We look forward to returning next year again. Meyer family"

Giardin Boutique Hotel B&B

Giardin Boutique Hotel B&B ★★★

📍 Str. Freina, Selva di Val Gardena

"We had such a fantastic week skiing in Val Gardena, and staying at your beautiful hotel made it even better. Your kindness, hospitality, and all the great tips on where to ski (and where to eat!) really made our trip special. We looked forward to your advice every single day. Tami and I absolutely loved exploring the Selva area, but honestly, what we’ll remember most is how warm and welcoming you and your team were. You helped create a memory we’ll hold onto for a long time. You, your staff, and your hotel get an easy 10/10 from us. We really hope to see you both again in 2028!"

Hotel Alpenroyal - The Leading Hotels of the World

Hotel Alpenroyal - The Leading Hotels of the World ★★★★★

📍 Str. Meisules, 43, Selva

"My initial booking at Alpenroyal was between 06 December to 18 December, 2024. But come September, I wanted to shorten my stay to 4 nights, from 14 December to 18 December, 2024. For that modification of shortened stay, Alpenroyal forfeited all my 900 Euro down payment deposit. Because an appointment already been made earlier with my regular fellow skier friends and their family to meet in Alpenroyal between 14 to 18 December, I have no alternative but to pay 500 Euro new down payment to stay the 4 nights. I have been meeting and getting together with these 3 families every December in Alpenroyal since 2016, except during covid times. I must highlight to all potential guests who are considering staying at Alpenroyal that I am a 6-Time Returned Guest of this hotel. Yet Alpenroyal gave me zero consideration in guest loyalty. Alpenroyal did not want to consider returning even 1/3 of my down payment. Note that my stay in their hotel was not cancelled. The date was merely modified. It was shortened from 12 nights to 4 nights within the Same Booking Period, which is 1/3 of my initial stay. I eventually spent another 1,614 Euro + 112 Euro during the 4 nights, much to my chagrin. Thus, if you decided to pay any down payment to Alpenroyal, please be alerted that you will not get any of it back. Please read this hotel cancellation terms before committing your payment to them. The other hotels in Dolomites offer 30 days free cancellation, but not Alpenroyal. Down payment to Alpenroyal is non-refundable and the owner of the hotel is very adamant about it as you can see from my experience. Having lost 900 euro even as a regular guest, I certainly would not come back to this hotel. After sharing with my 3 friends and their family how Alpenroyal conducted their business hospitality, all of us decided to explore other hotels in Selva Val Gardena, Ortisei and Colfosco next winter."

Boutique Hotel Nives - Luxury & Design in the Dolomites

"My wife and I loved Hotel Nives - located in Selva di Val Gardena which was a great base to explore the West Dolomiti hikes (i.e. Resciesa, Seceda and Alpe di Siusi). The facilities and the room were very nice, clean and well designed, and the restaurant was top notch (amazing breakfast and wonderful dinners); the staff were especially awesome (friendly yet professional). It's a boutique hotel and not low cost, and maybe the atmosphere could be too quiet for some, but we loved it. It's also located right off the main Street in Selva so you can just walk around town or catch the (free) city bus. We'd love to go back, maybe in the winter next time."

Hotel Monte44 Hotels in Selva

Hotel Monte44

"This year, after 3 years of going to Selva di Val Gardena in September, we changed accommodation and went to the Monte 44 hotel. With us we had our two poodles, the spacious, clean and welcoming room with parquet, had a comfortable terrace. The breakfast was very well prepared and made with local products. The SPA is not very large but welcoming, with an external and heated hydromassage tub, offering a pleasant view of the Selva valley. The owner was very kind and available for explanations and advice on things to see. In conclusion, recommended"

"The manager personally refused us the opportunity to change into our ski gear before check-in! "Anyone who arrives too early has to change on the street." It was an undignified start, but otherwise we liked the hotel, the food was very good, and the service staff was very friendly."

Hotel Oswald Hotels in Selva

"Never saw it before the renovation but the renovation this hotel has received is very nice. Pool area is more like a 5 star hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. This was also great value and not crazy expensive like a lot of hotels in the area. The hotel still retains its old charm. Breakfast is decent. Location is awesome."

Hotel Miravalle Hotels in Selva

Hotel Miravalle

"Great week-long stay at Hotel Miravalle. The rooms are large and comfortable, many with balconies with great views. Pool, sauna and spa were great after a long day of skiing. We had half-board option and dinner every night was 4 course meal, with a delicious and innovative menu each night. Hotel is slope side, right next to the ski school so morning drop offs for the kids was perfect. Ski room is very high tech and you can an elevator to the slopes. Highlight of our entire stay was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, kind, patient (we were a very large group) and helpful. Will definitely return."

Hotel Jägerheim 3S Hotels in Selva

Hotel Jägerheim 3S

"LOVED our time at Hotel Jägerheim! This hotel is a family run business and they run it with such care. It is conveniently right next to do the Col Reiser lift and has lovely views and plenty of places to sit and enjoy them. I would absolutely come back here - if you stay, do at least one dinner at the hotel restaurant. The menu changes every day. Also - their masseuse in the spa is AWESOME."

Hotel Fil Da Mont Hotels in Selva

Hotel Fil Da Mont

"Excellent. The hotel itself (structure) is incredible. Esthetic, beautiful. The staff are amazing. They make sure that during your stay, you don't have to think. They do it all for you and to add to which, with a smile and 100% commitment to making your stay carefree and comfortable. I am truly enthralled by this establishment. To add to which - the food is amazing. We have been coming here for 10 years on and off on various occasions. Now, with the re-invented/restructured hotel it is even better. The staff , each and every person is great. You wake up, have an amazing breakfast, walk 20 steps to a main ski lift. Then you come back to the same. Highly recommended. Very highly. You will be lucky if you get a room!"

Villa Insam Hotels in Selva

Villa Insam

"Villa Insam is a very simple family-run bed and breakfast, yet its simplicity reflects the courtesy and kindness of Beatrice, her mother, and her aunt, the owner. The location is stunning for those who want to be immersed in nature yet just steps from the town center. You wake up to the most beautiful view you'll find in Selva, namely the Sassolungo, and the sound of sheep bells. The breakfast is good and plentiful. The rooms are simple but clean. Excellent value for money!"

Mountain Design Hotel Eden Selva ★★★★
"The hotel has a good location, excellent facilities, spacious rooms, and complimentary slippers. The breakfast is plentiful, and the front desk staff are friendly. Their apartments offer self-service laundry and drying, costing €5 each time; you need to exchange for a token at the front desk."

"If there was a sixth star, Gran Baita in Val Gardena has it. World class experience delivered with sincerity of heart in balance with the unforgettable beauty of the Dolomites. Take one of the many classes- Marco, Sommelier extraordinaire, leads a memorable tasting of regional wines."

"Excellent hotel! Our local driver even said it's the best four-star hotel in the area. The dinner was surprisingly delicious. The restaurant staff, however, were a bit difficult to communicate with. For two mornings, my son didn't want to get up, and they kept trying to charge us for a takeaway breakfast, which only got resolved after we clarified that our four breakfasts were included. The hotel pool is a bit small, but it was empty first thing in the morning. The self-service laundry is a bizarre 200-meter walk away and there's only one machine. Someone who arrived after me was still busy with it, so I ended up waiting an extra 50 minutes. Poor guy."

Hotel Continental Dolomites ★★★★
"We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Continental. Our hosts and all the staff were friendly and cheerful. The hotel is exceptionally clean, as is the spa. And they have a billiards room! We loved our cleaning lady—she was so cheery and did an excellent job cleaning the room! The views from our room were amazing! It was snowing when we arrived on Sept 13th. We took a cab from the station in Bolzano to the hotel—about a 45 min drive. Little did we know that the hotel sits next to the Dantercepies gondola—which is where you start skiing the Sellaronda. We had already booked a room there for a week in February 2025. You get free bus passes with your room, but we found a friendly taxi driver and used it instead. Because of the snow, we were unable to hike Seceda the first time we went there, but we were able to hike it yesterday. Great views, but it was kind of like seeing the multitude of climbers on Mount Everest! But there are other wonderful hikes that are much less populated. The meals at the hotel were delicious and creative. We are looking forward to returning in February!"

Comfortable and spacious rooms, every detail is carefully considered. The property has thought of everything to welcome guests in the best possible way. A top-notch breakfast, rarely found in hotels, with portions dedicated to each guest, high-quality dishes, presented with meticulous attention, all with refined simplicity and elegance. Top top top"

Hotel Alpenroyal - The Leading Hotels of the World ★★★★★
"NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL! It was one of my favorite hotels in the world 15 years ago. But it is now a two to three start hotel. Because: The mother and father who were original owners have retired, and they were fabulous. The staff is not that great in customer service, and service levels are very weak. They are not training well, or not hiring the top tier staff. Front desk, bartenders, restaurant food for 1/2 board not good. The breaksfast foods were stale, they leave some of items uncovered out, and I saw them in the morning and at night. Thus, the marshmellows, and toppings are stale. The rooms are hot, they were hot in June and they are hot in October, I don't care that they are int he mountains, they should have air conditioning in a 5 start place. The spa used to be great, now, "We have a new sauna, but it is ONLY OPEN FROM 4-8." Exactly during dinner time. So, there goes my day of hangin out in a fancy spa and pool all day. The hotel room i had was huge, with a great view. Just becasue they have a michellin star restaurnat and a light in the closet, the vanity is made out of plastic and small, the shower, doens't have a proper door, so floor gets wet. The place used tto have free snacks at happy hour. Not anymore, there is a cost. It is no inexpensive for what you get, Stay in Ortessi, or somewhere else. The place used to have activites and people to take you on hikes as a group. They called for a guide to take me out and the cost was close the 300 dollars for a couple of hours. This shouldn't be a leading hotel of the world anymore. It needs to be torn down, and re-done, and new trained staff brought in. So sad!!! I've stayed at other leading hotels of the world and the hotels and staff are ten times better! Go to Lake Garda or Bologna leading hotels and see 5 star service. Don't go stay here, for the price and what you get- NOT WORTH IT! For two hundred dollars a night, I'd go back, but not for what I paid."
