Spruce Lodge ★★★

📍 31851 Herman Leirer Rd, Seward

"The location is great, just a 15-minute drive from the Harding Exit. You can cook, and the bed is very comfortable. The self-service check-in is very convenient and highly recommended."

Hotel Seward

Hotel Seward ★★

📍 221 5th Ave, Seward

"There are only a few hotels nearby. The room I booked didn't have an elevator, probably because it's an old building. The room was small and rather old, but the toilet was clean."

Bell in the Woods B&B ★★★

📍 13881 Bruno Rd, Seward

"This is a lovely bed and breakfast, approximately 10 minutes drive from the centre of Seward. We stayed in the Mount Marathon Guestroom, which was very comfortable, spotless and with en suite bathroom. Breakfast was superb! It was great to have complimentary coffee and fabulous homemade cakes available throughout the day - the white chocolate cookies and cupcakes are not to be missed!"

The Tides Inn
8.4 (21 reviews)

The Tides Inn ★★

📍 235 3rd Avenue, Seward

"The Tides Inn is a fantastic place to stay on your Seward adventure, and Pete (the owner) will make sure of it! The hotel itself is nice, clean, quaint, and in a great location near the local shops and the water. But what makes it special is Pete himself. On our 3 day stay, he was onsite each day, and when he wasn't, he was just a quick call away. He helped us out of a jam and was personable, kind, and happy to help with whatever we needed. I can't recommend this place enough!"

Hotel North
9.5 (7 reviews)

Hotel North ★★★

📍 300 Washington St, Seward

"Really amazing place to stay. We traveled back and forth from Anchorage and stayed in three different rooms. Every single time the rooms were super clean and we were able to relax. We would 100.% stay here again when we come back to Seward. The host is extremely fast to respond to emails or texts. Also perfect walking distance to the water and to restaurants. Thank you Hotel North for making our first time to Seward so peaceful!"

Trailhead Lodging
9.2 (86 reviews)

Trailhead Lodging ★★★

📍 335 3rd Ave, Seward

"The room is big with basic amenities. Location is quite good as it’s just at a free shuttle stop. It’s May in Alaska, so a small fan heater is not enough to warm us up. Luckily the bed is very comfy n the blankets keep us warm during the night."

Spruce Lodge ★★★
"I felt the hygiene was absolutely terrible; it was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in in the US. The floor was sticky and grimy, and the water glasses were filthy and hadn't been washed properly. The "kitchen" was practically nonexistent; there was no stove or dishwasher, which was very inconvenient. I didn't receive any service; it was too late, so they just gave me the door code and I didn't interact with the front desk."

Breeze Inn Hotel ★★★
"We booked a hotel room and had to take a basic MOTEL room. When asking the reception attendant to get a room opposite of the busy SEWARD main street I was answered that it was not possible because I had booked through TRIP.com (*******) and not direct ! I always try to book direct but The Breeze Inn's own internet site was technically unable to provide me with a reservation despite many attemps. Needless to say that the Breeze Inn was almost empty when we were there early May. Those motel rooms were particularly uncomfortable : - Extremely noisy room due to : * the immediate proximity of Seward's main road with trucks roaring 100 feet from your window with almost no sound proofing * poor room-to-room sound insulation : conversations, TV, toilets, vacuuming bathroom fan, ... - Room was too hot and temperature could not be modified thanks to a broken thermostat leading to open windows for fresh air but more outside noise - Bedroom is facing a gloomy back street with parking lots and huge garbage area at the back of a restaurant. - Ice machine lacking hygiene with people having to scoop ice in a container with the possibility of contaminating Will NEVER return nor recommend the place to anyone !"

"The hotel was recently renovated and everything is new. I had three rooms for my family and each room has two queen size beds. Rooms are clean and quiet. Would suggest to stay in this hotel."

Bell in the Woods B&B ★★★
"This is by far the best Bed and Breakfast we ave ever stayed. Yana and Mike are gracious hosts and the breakfasts are amazing! The rooms are immaculate and comfy beds. This was our second stay and we will be back! They even invited us to join their campfire in the back yard! We also fished with Mike's Charter business. ...Blue Ice Charters and that was also a 5 star experience! Sarah and John, Chattanooga TN"

The Tides Inn ★★
"The Tides Inn in Seward, AK was a clean and comfortable enough place to stay for two or three days, the bed was comfortable, although the pillows were soft for our taste, the shower was decent, the kitchenette was convenient and the workability to shops and restaurants was ideal. The only real negative to the room we were in, which was the Mermaid Room, was that there is no closet or shelving to put clothes on, so you literally have to work out of a suitcase that you put on the extra bed in the living room. It worked out for us as we didn’t need the second bed for sleeping, but if that had been the case, it would have been an awkward situation. There were four or five coat-type hooks behind the front door, but no hangers or shelving of any type, so it wasn’t intended as a miniature clothes closet, just for hanging coats. Otherwise, the owners were very friendly and allowed us to store luggage before our room was ready and for a few hours after our stay until it was time to go to our cruise ship. There is a shuttle stop a half a block away, which made it very convenient to get around the town, however, you need to be aware that the last drop-off/pick up for the day at that stop is about 6:30 PM and taxis are not very plentiful and seem to stop at 7pm (and no Uber or Lyft) if you find yourself needing a way back to the hotel later in the day. A revamp of evening transportation is sorely needed."

Harborview Inn ★★
"It's a really old hotel, and it's far away from the cruise ship terminal. There's no breakfast yet, and you have to buy water. The hotel in Seward is really too expensive. Later, it was much better to move to harbor360, although it was expensive."

"I totally dug this place. My bride, not so much. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite which is garage sale decorated, but, as I said, I totally dug it. It's really cool-funky. I mean the place is heated with radiators. Haven't seen that since I left Annapolis, Maryland in 1956 when I was six. Ultra centrally located. If you want to drink and not drive, this place is for you. And the continuum of bars are from the bottom to pretty close to the top. Plus the SeaLife Center is just a couple of blocks away. The other rooms on the website do not appear to have the 'charm' of the sunrise suite."
