The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. We even walked to the Natural History Museum with our child. The 'Nailong' family room was spacious and bright, and the 'Nailong' themed decor, along with the little tent, was a big hit with our kid. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially KOI at the front desk, whose assistance we greatly appreciate.

A fairly standard Marriott – a good choice for Disney visitors, but service details could use improvement.
**Pros:** The Disney shuttle bus was very thoughtful and convenient, and the hotel is not far from Disneyland. Special thanks to Xiaohu at the front desk for arranging a really nice room; her service was warm and attentive. The hotel breakfast was very abundant, and the quality was excellent.
**Areas for Improvement:** There was no bell service to help with luggage, which I found quite surprising and frankly, unacceptable, as even Marriotts in what might be considered 'third-tier' cities typically offer this. The turndown service was also very sloppy; used cups were not replaced, which was quite subpar.
Wow 🤩, this five-star hotel is absolutely amazing! The environment is incredibly elegant, and everywhere is spotless. The staff are so attentive; they helped with luggage and introduced local attractions, thinking of everything. This is what true five-star service looks like. Staying here, you really feel like a VIP. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Riverside was significantly enhanced by the excellent service provided by Xiao Bai, the front desk duty manager. She went above and beyond to meet our requests and showed incredible attentiveness. We're very grateful for such outstanding and comforting service, and we give it a five-star rating. We booked this hotel after seeing their online promotions, but the actual experience was very disappointing. We arrived at 5 PM that day, only to find our room hadn't been cleaned. We were then given a different My Little Pony themed room. From 8 PM onwards, my child kept asking about the promised My Little Pony cake and room card. I repeatedly called the front desk to inquire. Despite knowing we had to wake up at 5 AM the next day for Disneyland, my child insisted on staying awake, eagerly anticipating her much-loved Pinkie Pie cake. It finally arrived at 9 PM, a very miniature cake. The front desk explained it away by saying they had too many guests that day, which I found to be a rather unconvincing excuse. Firstly, we weren't walk-in guests; our booking was made a week in advance. Secondly, online reviews clearly state that the cake and room card are usually prepared in advance. Being moved to a different themed room should not have impacted this service. Ultimately, we only received this much-anticipated service after repeatedly prompting them. Thirdly, most of the businesses and amenities surrounding the hotel have shut down, making the area feel quite desolate. This left us with no option but to order takeout, which was extremely inconvenient.
