"Fantastic resort at Samosir island, typical of what one might expect from a 5 star resort. Island weather was a cooling 20 degrees but the water in the pool is warm, so you could enjoy it even in the evening. Oh not to mention the view. The outdoor equipments like bicycles, e-scooters, electric cars are very well maintain, so you could rent it with peace of mind."

"The view from the front of the rooms over the lake is beautiful and that is where the positive ends. Rooms are in need of a thorough renovation. Beds are rock hard and bad, bathroom is not much better, also here a lot of overdue maintenance. Breakfast was sufficient but little choice."

"I spent three nights at Zoe's Paradise Waterfront Hotel in January of this year,2026,and it was just perfect...I had a beautiful room where sleep quality was excellent...The room was serviced daily...This hotel has a very good restaurant where I had most of my meals....The location was perfect-in the centre of Tuk Tuk with a beautiful view of Lake Toba....The staff really made my stay memorable and enjoyable...I want to mention Evelyn and Angel in the dining room and Fanny and Boi at reception....A special mention must be made of Monica....This lovely lady organised a becak to take me on a day trip around Samosir island and also organised a car and driver to take me to Bukittinggi,the next place on my itinerary....Truly a lovely person and a great staff member....Top marks to Zoe's Paradise...10 out of 10."

"Book a standard room. There is an en-suite bathroom, and there is also hot water. Clean and comfortable. The view directly overlooks Lake Toba. Cheap price but worth it. Suitable for those in a healing mood because the place is not noisy. It's really great 🤣"

Easy to get help to rent motorcycle. The most appreciated part was hotel gave us a warm pick up from the harbour. Weather are cold and the mountain views are spectacular. Highly recommended to stay in this well-equipped hotel."
