Iron Creek Bay Estate
9.5 (48 reviews)

Iron Creek Bay Estate ★★★★

📍 394 Arthur Hwy, Sorell

"View outside the hotel room the superb, superb and superb. Inside the hotel area there is farm with animals, you can feed them by getting the food grains from the reception. The fruits farm allows you to pick your favourite fruits ie apples, cherries, grapes, plum etc as long as they are available. If the weather is good, you could have chance to see aurora and Milky Way outside of your hotel. In overall, everything is just perfect staying here. Highly recommended."

📍 31 Walker St, Sorell

"Beautiful old buildings offering a range of accommodations that are warm, cosy, and have all the modern conveniences. Terry & Lynn are wonderful hosts that communicate very well with guests. Very clean. Quiet. Carpark steps away from the accommodation. Excellent location to Hobart airport and exploring the surrounding area."

"Nice view and spacious. But the place a bit dusty and one of the heater is not in good condition. When we on it, then the part of the electricity will black out. We called for help to on back the electric."

Iron Creek Bay Estate ★★★★
"The restaurant isn't open daily, so you'll need to use Uber Eats or drive out to find food. Feeding the animals and picking fruit was a lot of fun!"

Sorell Barracks ★★★
"Opened the door and faced a set of steep stairs with no hand rail. I would not like to carry a big bag up them and certainly not down. The room was in the roof so the ceiling was low with plenty of things to bang your head on. Overall the place needs decorating as it is very run down and past it best. However, whilst you could try to cover over some of the problems by saying it’s an old building and we are try to keep things in the style of the building, you cannot excuse the fact that the room needed a good clean. The bedside table was thick with dust, the bathroom had a layer of thick dust, the table in the “kitchen” section had food over it. When you are running a business you need to put some effort in. The only saving grace was that the shower was good. Would not return."
