Hotel Domhof
"I recently spent 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. Super clean, big beautiful windows that open and the staff was friendly and kind. I highly recommend. We loved being next door to the cathedral and enjoyed the bells. The pedestrian zone for Speyer is right around the corner. The breakfast is an outstanding buffet."
ibis Styles Speyer
"The room meets the basic requirements, but it is a little smaller than the previous hotel, which is a bit crowded. Breakfast is also good, some varieties, no problem with the stomach!"
Hotel Löwengarten
"The room is not very soundproof, others are not bad, you can walk to the nearby pedestrian street to see various historic buildings, breakfast is not bad, the whole hotel is in a quiet street, suitable for slow-paced life walking around the small town"
Hotel Speyer am Technik Museum
"We booked the hotel at short notice. The price was okay but we noticed it shot up after we'd booked. Conveniently located at the Technik-Museum and within a few minutes drive or (better) 15 minute walk to the centre of Speyer (or 4 minute walk and short bus ride). Free parking. Rooms clean and functional - you are obviously in a hotel room. Only downside was no aircon so slept with fully open window - noise not an issue and we were on first floor. Decent breakfast so all in all recommended for a simple stay."
Hotel Trutzpfaff
"Excellent hosts. They kept checking when we would be arriving and when they found it would be late (we were delayed), they gave us detailed instructions as to how to access the onsite carpark, how to enter the building, get our key. Also enquired if we needed anything else. Room was clean and felt newish. But size wise it's on the smaller side but enough for 2 persons on a short stay or if you don't need a desk/sofa etc."
Amedia Plaza Speyer, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
"The room, at first view adequate, but the numerous hazards projecting into the limited headspace of a sloping roof, such as cupboards, TV etc. made maneuvering without injury quite challenging. Cleanliness is not written large here. While I was not bitten by anything larger than an insect, the feeling that it could happen was ever present. Service, again, not their number one strength. I definitely did not feel like the staff hated me any more or less than other guests so at least we can add the term indiscriminate. The hotel, the term labyrinth is not totally accurate, while the haphazard layout of the floor plan on several floors across numerous buildings is indeed puzzling, the random staircases and lifts that lead you to dead ends, parts of the building with no access to the hotel and no return from whence you came, the term would imply that at the completion of the puzzle there would be reward, at the center of the maze a gratifying view. Having wandered the corridors, climbed the stairs, rode many elevators, I can assure you, no reward is forthcoming. Fans of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks may however feel a creeping stain of deja vu seeping into their consciousness. Sleep well."
GuestHouse Speyer
"A very practical base in Speyer, especially if you’re arriving by car. There’s ample parking, which already takes the pressure off, and the location works well: close enough to the centre for an easy stroll, yet equally convenient for the train station and main road connections. The guesthouse itself is simply furnished and feels more like a well-organised B&B than a classic hotel. Nothing flashy, but equally nothing to complain about. My room was straightforward and functional, with a hob and fridge – genuinely useful if you’re staying a little longer and fancy heating up some soup or preparing something simple. Having an organic supermarket next door is a small but welcome bonus. Reception was closed when I arrived and again later in the afternoon, but access via the safe and key system worked smoothly and without any drama. Breakfast was perfectly fine; a small warm option would have been nice, though there weren’t many guests and the setup clearly follows the B&B approach. All in all: no frills, but clean, practical and well located. I’d happily stay again for a short, uncomplicated trip."
Hotel Sperling Mit E-Ladestation
"The size of the room can basically meet the needs of a single person, warm and comfortable, there is no kettle, and there is no matching drinking water. Breakfast is also relatively simple and is customized. However, it is not bad to have a place to stay in a small village."
