Located in Hanoi, An Homestay Lakeview Apartment is a great base to explore the city from.

Consigliato a chi ama i soggiorni semplici, silenziosi e sinceri."

SSvetka_krugosvetkaThis hotel is conveniently located for a layover. We arrived in the evening and had an early morning flight, so we picked this place. We were picked up by the hotel's driver, and in the morning, the owner himself drove us back to the airport. He even prepared an early breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. The hotel isn't new, but it has everything you need. Most importantly, we got a good night's sleep before our long journey. It only took 10 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport (at 5 AM). I imagine it would take longer later in the day due to traffic. There's not much around the hotel, so if you're hungry, it's best to eat at the airport.

ZZLTanStayed here for 5 nights recently. Overall, nothing major went wrong during our stay and the apartment itself was actually quite nice — spacious, comfortable for 2 people, and relatively new-looking. If I had gone in with neutral expectations, I would probably have rated this place 4/5 stars. However, because the property currently holds an exceptionally high 4.9-star rating on Google, I came in expecting a much more polished and consistent experience. Unfortunately, the stay did not quite live up to those expectations, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead. A few issues we encountered during our stay: 1. The soap dispensers (shampoo, body soap, and hand soap) all had faulty or rusty pump caps that barely worked. After we informed management, they provided additional bottles of soap at the counter, but the issue with the actual dispensers was never resolved. We were simply advised to remove the caps and pour the soap out manually instead. 2. The kettle in our room looked dusty and poorly maintained, so we brought it down to reception and requested a replacement. Management later explained that the marks were “calcium build-up from the water on the metal” and reassured us that it was “completely normal” and “not a hygiene issue.” While we understand mineral build-up can happen naturally, the kettle still did not appear clean from a guest’s perspective. When it was returned to our room, it seemed to have only been lightly rinsed and still did not feel properly cleaned, so we ended up buying our own sponge from the supermarket to clean it ourselves before use. 3. The TV in our room was initially not functioning, although to management’s credit, they did manage to repair/replace it for us. 4. Housekeeping missed our room entirely on one of the days. We returned around 7:30pm to find that no fresh towels had been provided. We messaged management that evening but did not receive a response until the next morning, so we had to improvise with makeshift towels for the night. 5. Housekeeping was also inconsistent overall. On 2 out of the 5 nights, our trash bins were not cleared. Thankfully we kept the room relatively tidy ourselves, so it did not become a major issue. 6. On our final night, the room lights suddenly stopped working due to a power trip. Thankfully the air-conditioning and toilet lights were still functioning. Management did respond and offered to move us to another room, but since we were checking out early the next morning, we decided not to relocate. To be fair, this accommodation is relatively affordable (about SGD250 total for 5 nights), so we were not expecting luxury-level service. At the same time, I also do not think expectations such as clean amenities, functional equipment, and consistent housekeeping are unreasonable. The apartment itself has good potential and is quite pleasant physically, but the repeated operational and housekeeping inconsistencies disrupted what could otherwise have been a much better stay.

GGuest UserThe air conditioning in the room worked great and the Wi-Fi was very stable. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to respond to messages. There's a handy hairdryer in the room. Plus, there are lots of good restaurants nearby, making dining super convenient. The service here is truly top-notch.

GGuest UserParagon Hotel is definitely the go-to for a short stay. It is very close to the airport and very convenient for any transfer out of Hanoi. The hotel provided necessary amenities, beautiful rooftop scenery overlooking the airport, a balcony in the room, and it was quiet at night.

RRalfNeeded a good night of test without noise from streets. This was possible on the 7th floor according to the employee. The room was only five meters away from the road and I think the occupancy was about 25% Maximum. And this is royal measured. The window in the bathroom didn't even close. I asked for another room away from the road and with windows that can close. I was offered another room. Again a window that was broken, but I fixed it in a way it's closed now. Lifted up the locking system at the side of the window, but it fell down, so now the window doesn't open anymore. Small window. There's also a big window. Because of having big windows these rooms are being considered to be executive rooms. Never reared about window size influencing the level of hierarchy. But at the other side of the window there's a wall and it's a very creepy hole you stare in. I didn't really feel executive because of that. But still I got the one night of rest I needed to normally open my eyes again. It's creepy when you're so tired that your eyes just can't open anymore. Big fat eyes the next day. Suddenly the younger girl behind the reception approach me with an extreme humble tone of voice telling me that it's actually an executive room. I literally asked myself if they had the gutted attitude to sell me an upgrade. Never mind, relocation is coming anyways. Hanoi is a very dusty city. I mean extremely dusty. So dusty that the damage and harm it causes to visit this place really doesn't make yhe visit feels really worthy. Also the communism is absolutely what didn't suit me personally at all. I am socially more developed. In general I had the impression that they employees where friendly, but it's their job. Not their job to be aggressive as I experienced once when I just asked the question what sports Vietnamese people.like the most. But this was in check out day. And the sinistry in the laugh of the male receptionist towards the taxi driver after they pushed me into.paying more for what I ordered online completely woke me up. But it's also weird yo say that the new owner is less kayak and in the meantime trying to sell me.more nights and saying I should return. I completely don't understand this way of handling. Asking 30% extra for a early check in. I saw yes when booked one or two nights, but when one booked a week then I would give it for free. In my case I understand that I needed to pay more for that 3 hour earlier checking in. But my explanation was clear. I need rest and lay down in normality, instead of walking on the streets wearing me out even more. The option offered didn't have anything to do with customer focus. More customer abuse in the most possible hardcore form. And this was the second accommodation in Hanoi where this abuse happened. I only had two accommodation totally indeed. Yes that's correct fellow traveller. Horror travel horror. Now comes the materialistic reviewing: Beds brand new and 100% awesome and healthy. Spotless clean and even when you refuse room cleaning it still happens. Very need to do that. Amen to the cleaner lady. Welcome Hall is pleasant. Shower is nice. It's very noisy in the front of the building, but I've only seen one room and I know that women follow the extinguishers agenda from Europe and I experienced this extremely in Vietnam. It even makes me feel.Viet Numb. But that's a good sign. 7 days left and at least I've experienced a bit what the U.S. army experienced back then. Viet Numb for me is more like a Tour of Duty. I see a red door and I want to paint it black. Communists not my people.

GGuest UserReception were very friendly and helped to book my taxis (cheaper than getting a Grab taxi). The room itself was very clean and housekeeping were attentive and cleared out bins etc everyday. The location is also very good - near old town area and great to visit by going around the lake.

GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store. Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it. The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders. I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.

AAnonymous UserI’ve chosen this place because it was close to the airport. The first thing is I assumed that because it’s close it’ll be really easy to get there after arrival, but actually taxi drivers don’t want to go there because for them is better to get more money from the trip to the city center then driving you for five min to this hotel. Then after finally arriving the staff that will meet you won’t have any hint of a smile on their face and will treat you like you’ve pissed them off only with your disturbance of their peace, the morning shift by the way was exactly the same. The room itself was ok, just as I assumed by the pictures but with the closer look you can see that lots of breakage and damaged stuff in the room

HHuy90Stayed here for a couple of nights and honestly didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out pretty nice. The room is not big, but it’s designed in a way that makes it feel cozy instead of cramped. You can tell they actually put some thought into the concept, it’s not just decoration. Cleanliness was good, especially the bed and bathroom. That’s usually the first thing I notice when I walk into a room, and this one felt fresh enough. Hot water worked well, AC cooled down the room quickly, no issues there. A couple of small things though, the walls are a bit thin so you can hear some noise outside, and if you have a lot of luggage it might feel tight. But overall, for the price, it’s definitely worth it. I’d probably stay here again if I’m back in Hanoi.

Can't go wrong at these prices. Staff were good and always helped with information. Over all it's a good hotel. I will be going back before I leave for the airport.
