"The hotel was nice, the staff very helpful and polite. What was unexpected for me is that there was nothing in the bathroom around the shower, like a curtain or something, so the water splashed everywhere and was then taking a lot of time to dry. I’ve seen it in bathrooms in India, but didn’t know Vietnam would be the same. However, since it was just for one night, it wasn’t a big deal.
The room itself was clean and spacious. One window didn’t close on the latch though. I
Also, I had a problem with exchanging my last 50$ cash in the airport, cause they don’t except old kind of currency, which was a surprise, cause I didn’t encounter any problem with that before in my primal destination in Japan, but the hotel hand the nearby restaurant accepted card, so in the end it wasn’t much of an issue either.
The hotel doesn’t provide with one-time slippers, but there are rubber sandal-type slippers for the bathroom and the room. I was ok with that, but I know it is an issue for people who don’t enjoy wearing things somebody else have worn before.
Also, there was a dirty spoon and the walls in the bathroom looked like they needed some mold-proofing, since it is a very damp environment."
