4-Star Hotels in Almaty

I stayed in Almaty for a day, just for a layover and some rest. I checked in late, after 6 AM, but the hotel was kind enough to extend my check-out until 2 PM. This gave me enough time to enjoy a perfect breakfast, freshen up, and catch up on some sleep. A special shout-out to the power outlets in the room; I didn't even need a travel adapter! The location is also fantastic, with all the major attractions within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Very cosy room, Netflix and smart tv, very scenic view of the mountain, short hike nearby, very nice breakfast. Very scenic sunrise and sunset. Cute dog. Comfy and amazing stay! IG WORTHY! Even have sauna in the room! Starry night! Con: dinner only available at restaurants below, need to take cable car. Cable car timing is quite limited. Must check in earlier. I missed the cable car time so I need to wait for the last session! May get high altitude sickness, please prep some Panadol or altitude sickness pill! Abit far to get there. 1 car ride & 3 cable cars up! Would recommend to reach early because can do short hikes and even paragliding! (Although i didn’t try because i reached at 6pm)

The hotel is new and clean. Although it is located in a residential area, getting to the city centre is actually quite quick. That said, Yandex Go or your own car is probably the most convenient way to get around. I also really appreciated the front office service. I arrived very late, at around 2:30am, and the staff waited up for me. They also offered to assist with my luggage both on arrival and again when I departed, which was a very nice touch. The room itself was comfortable, and I also appreciated having a handheld bidet spray next to the toilet. The bathroom layout was a little awkward — when opening the bathroom door, it would catch the bath mat and push it across the floor every time. I was surprised that there was no chair at all in the room, which is rather inconvenient even just for putting on shoes, sitting briefly, or using the desk. I stayed for two nights, but unfortunately no housekeeping was provided during my stay. I understand that unexpected staffing issues can happen, but I would have appreciated some proactive communication. At minimum, a quick note explaining the situation, fresh towels and bottled water could have been delivered to the room without having to ask, even if full housekeeping was not possible. Only when I contacted reception was the situation explained. Breakfast on my departure morning was also rather disappointing, possibly because there was a large group (relative to he size of the hotel) staying at the hotel. Food was slow to be replenished and there were no seats available. As I was in a hurry, I ended up taking just a muffin. There also seemed to be no hot water in the room that morning, although this had not been an issue previously, so it may have been related to unusually high demand at that time. Overall, the hotel has good potential: it is new, clean, reasonably convenient for reaching the city centre, and the front office staff were helpful and welcoming.

Getting here by taxi from the city center was super convenient. I stayed for two nights. On the first day, I saw a glimpse of a 'golden mountain' at the top, and on the second day, there was heavy snow – the scenery was absolutely stunning! There's a shuttle bus service for getting up and down the mountain after check-in. If you're short on time and miss the shuttle, it's also easy to just grab a taxi. The hotel description was a bit sparse. The minibar is complimentary and replenished daily. The sauna was also great. Someone will help with your luggage, but it's good to mention it beforehand. You'll need to download another chat app (WhatsApp, I assume) in advance, as most requests are handled there, and responses are pretty quick. The views are beautiful and well worth it. Plus, the famous Top 50 restaurant is right next door. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but it was a bit monotonous.

I really liked this hotel. It's new, and the breakfasts were great, with new dishes appearing every day. I especially appreciated that they make oatmeal to order – I tried the oat porridge and enjoyed it. It was also nice to get a proper-sized cup of good coffee from the machine, unlike the tiny cups you often find elsewhere. However, for other beverages, I would have preferred actual glass cups instead of mugs. The room itself was good, new, and a decent size. I don't usually watch TV, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Kinopoisk (a Russian streaming service) available, so I actually watched something. In the bathroom, there was shampoo and shower gel. I didn't find any hair conditioner, or maybe I just missed it. I would have liked a soap dish for the soap and a cup for the kids, though they did provide a loofah. Upon request, an iron was brought to my room very quickly. If you have a suitcase, they'll help you carry it up and down the stairs and even take it to your taxi. If I visit again, I'd most likely choose this hotel. The value for money and the newness are excellent.

We really liked the location, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants directly next to the accomodation. The host is responsive. The apartment itself is a good size and in a new complex. The wifi is good. However, there are some improvements that we would recommend. Cleanliness needs to be improved - there was dirt on the bed sheet, hair in the shower and drawers, dirty kitchen towels, stained mats in the bathroom, dishes were dirty (needing washing before use) and the inside of the fridge was dirty. Whilst the bed was relatively comfortable, the sheets were too small and didn’t stay on the bed or cover two people. When we booked the accomodation, we picked it due to being able to complete washing; however the washing line on the covered sunroom was full of the hosts linen washing. We had to fold this and put it away to be able to use the facilities we paid for. The amenities are also lacking, there wasn’t any clothes washing liquid/powder (just an empty bottle), the shampoo and conditioner were half used tiny bottles from another hotel, no drinking water, no tea/coffee etc. The kitchen lacks certain things to make basic meals (no pasta strainer) and there is nowhere to put hot pots when you take them off the hot plate. We were also given the wrong room number before our arrival, meaning that we were trying to get into the wrong apartment for 30 mins - after a long travel day this was a bit exhausting. Overall, more attention to detail would help improve this accomodation. We hope this helps the hosts improve.

Very good, and the breakfast was excellent. If you turn right outside the hotel and walk through the residential area, there's a large park, and right after that is the subway station. There's also a great BBQ place nearby.

This is my go-to hotel every time I visit Almaty. I like that it has a balcony, but the breakfast is really disappointing. Also, they only provide one large towel and one small towel, which is inconvenient. I hope they can improve on these points.

Overall, it was a good stay. The room was cleaned promptly every day. However, mineral water wasn't provided in the room, and the shower was inside the bathtub. The bed was very comfortable and soft, and the desk was also large. Breakfast was good, with a decent variety and taste, but if purchased separately, it cost 11,000 KZT. It feels more like a hotel suited for business travelers.

The hotel is an excellent choice because of its price, location and facilities available for guests. The staff is responsive and good. There are a few convenient stores nearby, and a late-night doner place. Overall not a bad place to stay.
