This five-star hotel, located not far from Shenzhen Airport, is arguably the best five-star option. Breakfast is very extensive and served on the second floor (buffet from 6:30-10:30). You can get freshly cooked noodles with soup, and there's a good selection of both Chinese and Western options, along with various hot and cold beverages. The food tasted pretty good; I opted for the beef brisket noodles, a regular choice at hotels, and it didn't disappoint – truly befitting a five-star hotel.
💰️ Cost: Approximately 600 RMB/night (including breakfast) for a Deluxe Twin Room.
🧹 Environment/Service: 1. Lighting: Plenty of natural light during the day, but the windows definitely need a clean – they're too dirty for a five-star establishment. At night, there are many ambient lights indoors, which is less ideal for business travelers. 2. Space: The room is about 50 square meters, offering good space with a desk and a sofa. The bathtub was surprisingly large. 3. Noise: Good sound insulation. Although it's next to a road, you can barely hear any noise. 4. Hygiene: The room, though showing some age, was tidied up very neatly. 5. Security: The door can be deadbolted but lacks an additional security latch. It automatically locks when closed. 6. Service: As a five-star hotel, the service was very warm and attentive.

AAnonymous UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations and can best be described as a genuine “home away from home.” It is rare to find a hotel that performs so well across comfort, service, location, and thoughtful details, and this experience left a very lasting impression.
First of all, the room itself was exceptionally comfortable. From the moment I walked in, everything—from the bedding and lighting to the layout and overall ambience—made it easy to relax. The room was clearly very well maintained, with no signs of wear or aging. The décor felt modern yet warm, and the attention to upkeep was evident in every detail, from the furniture to the bathroom facilities. Returning to the room each day felt comforting and familiar, which is something not every hotel can achieve.
At check-in, there was a short wait for the room due to availability, but the experience was handled extremely well. A Guest Relation Specialist proactively approached me, kindly checked in on my situation, and thoughtfully added me on WeChat so that assistance would always be easily accessible. From that point onward, communication became seamless. Whether I had questions, requests, or needed help at any time during my stay, support was always just a message away, with quick and attentive responses that made me feel truly cared for.
I would especially like to thank Loyalty Manager Mr. Cao for arranging a room upgrade. The upgraded room offered more space and a better overall experience, which elevated my stay significantly. This gesture made me feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, rather than just another reservation.
Although there was construction nearby during my stay, the hotel’s sound insulation was excellent. Noise never became an issue, and my rest was completely undisturbed. Both nights were quiet and restful, and I slept extremely well—something I truly appreciated.
In the afternoon, the Guest Relations team kindly assisted in arranging the JW Christmas–themed afternoon tea. The presentation, quality, and festive atmosphere were outstanding. It was clear that great care had gone into the experience, and it added a wonderful sense of occasion to my stay. This was definitely a highlight and deserves high praise.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Traveling to the airport in the morning was incredibly convenient, saving both time and stress. At the same time, the hotel is not far from Xiangmi Lake Park, making it equally suitable for leisure walks and relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, the location truly feels ideal.
In the evening, based on a recommendation from the Guest Relations team, I visited the bar on the fourth floor—and I’m very glad I did. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially under the moonlight, creating a calm and romantic setting that made the night feel special. I highly recommend the Moscow Mule there—it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I’ve had.
Another thoughtful touch was the arrangement of a late check-out by the Guest Relations team. This allowed me to rest a bit longer and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed, which made a big difference before departure.
Breakfast was also very impressive. The selection was extensive and well organized. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with clear flow and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In addition, food deliveries were conveniently handled by service robots, which was both efficient and fun, adding a modern and thoughtful touch to the stay.
Overall, this hotel excels not only in facilities, but also in service quality and attention to detail. From check-in to check-out, every interaction reflected professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Whether for business travel or a relaxing getaway, this is a hotel I would confidently recommend. It is absolutely a place I look forward to returning to in the future.

MM55029****I highly recommend the InterContinental Shenzhen Dameisha Resort! My friends and I were absolutely blown away by our experience at this hotel during our beach vacation.
The moment we stepped in, we were enveloped by a strong resort vibe. The lobby was spacious and bright, and the gentle sea breeze carried a faint salty scent, instantly washing away the fatigue from our journey. Our ocean-view room had an incredible vista; opening the window revealed the sparkling blue sea and fine sandy beach, with sunlight dancing on the waves – every photo we took looked like it belonged in a magazine.
I have to give a special shout-out to the hotel's travel photography service! I was initially debating whether to hire a separate photography studio, but it turns out the hotel offers its own partnered service, which was incredibly easy to book at the front desk. The photographer was very professional; not only did he know all the best spots for great photos around the hotel – from the seaside boardwalk and coconut groves to the European-style building terraces – he was also excellent at guiding our poses, so there was no awkwardness at all. The raw photos looked fantastic, and the retouched versions were incredibly high quality. My WeChat Moments were flooded with people asking for the link!
The hotel's amenities were also top-notch. The beach was right downstairs, perfect for stepping onto the sand and enjoying the waves at any time. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, with seafood, desserts, and Chinese breakfast options all tasting delicious. And the staff's service was thoughtful and attentive; they greeted us with smiles throughout and responded quickly to any requests.
Overall, this was a perfect vacation experience, ideal for family trips, romantic getaways, or friends traveling together! The next time I come to Dameisha, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I'm already looking forward to my next round of amazing travel photos!

Our family's Christmas trip to Shenzhen, staying at the Shangri-La Nanshan, was absolutely perfect, with every detail surprisingly delightful.
The most memorable part was how our room's floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly framed the stunning sunset over Shenzhen Bay. Our west-facing room was bathed in golden sunlight as it reflected off the sea in the evening. We could even see city landmarks like the 'Spring Bamboo Shoot' in the distance. It was so romantic and calming; every photo we took looked like it belonged in a magazine.
The hotel service was incredibly thoughtful. When the front desk learned we were traveling with family, they proactively upgraded our room to an Executive Bay View Suite. The suite was very spacious, and both the living room and bathroom offered unparalleled views. The facilities were high-end and modern, especially the smart toilet and Dyson hairdryer, which significantly enhanced our comfort. My family couldn't stop praising the suite upgrade.
The dining experience was another major highlight. The 66th floor of the hotel offered a variety of choices: we had a lavish breakfast at the 'J Collection 66' all-day dining restaurant, with so many options it was dizzying. In the afternoon, we enjoyed an exquisite cloud-high afternoon tea on the 66th floor; the pastries were delicious, and combined with the sky-high views, it was incredibly relaxing. In the evening, we could even enjoy a drink while watching the city lights come alive, truly capturing the Christmas Eve ambiance.
The hotel went all out with its Christmas decorations. The grand Christmas tree in the lobby, along with reindeer and snowflake lights everywhere, created a wonderfully festive atmosphere. The staff greeted everyone with 'Merry Christmas,' which felt particularly heartwarming.
Its location is also a big plus. The hotel is right at a subway exit, and getting to popular shopping areas like MixC World and MixC was incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' drive. Whether it was for shopping or experiencing the Christmas market, it was super easy to get around.
From the breathtaking sunset views, the thoughtful suite upgrade, the gourmet feast on the 66th floor, to the festive Christmas atmosphere and convenient location, our entire family was extremely satisfied with this stay. It was a perfect holiday getaway, and we definitely plan to return if we have the chance!

AAnonymous UserFirst the good. The hotel was clean and luxurious, with large bathrooms stocked with essential toiletries. Location was in the Business District of SZ, hence not much of leisure around, but it is close to a popular Bay area with SZ's famed ferris wheel, a cultural centre and youth activity hub within walking distance. Right next door is a dinosaur museum. Large malls are a short 5mins car ride away, along with a complex dedicated to eateries. Service was fast - typically within 3-5mins of sending up requests for additional beddings, towels, toiletries etc.
Now the not so good at all. We had booked and paid for triple sharing adults (more expensive than twin share, dont ask me why) but when we arrived, all amenities were for 2 persons only. While this was made good thereafter by the hotel providing additional usage items for the third person, it left a bad initial impression. This was exacerbated by the fact that there were only 2 single sized beds and there was no way 2 adults could squeeze on one bed with the extra person. With two separate beds, there was no way the room could accommodate a third rollaway bed. There was a tiny couch, but its dimensions were impossible to cater to sleeping an adult comfortably.
When we were there, there was an international competition going on and i guessed there was an overload on the wifi system. Wifi was truly terrible even for simple text loading. We had wanted to make do with our data roam but unfortunately that too was almost impossible to get a decent signal and speed. The internet reception was barely 4G. This surprised us greatly since SZ was touted to be the technology capital of China, if not the world. Even organisers of the competition itself had to utilise their own paid wifi and VPN so the competition could go on smoothly. Frankly deeply disappointed. It is understandable that the overload of guests caused the lethargic internet speed, but the least the hotel could have done was to anticipate this demand and prepared in advance. This should not be their first rodeo.
To be fair, one of the hotel managers Carey expressed her deepest apologies (kudos to her), however, damage had been done. She tried to make up for it with small souvenirs and this i guess was her valiant effort of handling customer retention.
Honestly i will recommend this hotel to people if they were there for a business conference that is being held at the hotel itself, but definitely not for a leisure family trip. Even then, manage your expectations accordingly.

The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and you can enjoy beautiful scenery right from your window. From the moment the reservation was confirmed, a dedicated butler was in touch throughout, proactively confirming our needs and making thoughtful arrangements. For my birthday stay, not only was our room upgraded to a Deluxe Executive Room, but we also received a custom cake and embroidered pillowcases – full of delightful details. Although the room had a classic feel, it was impeccably maintained. The Frederic Malle amenities had a sophisticated scent, and the marble bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The 24-hour room service was incredibly prompt; extra water or pillows were delivered in an instant. The treatments at Yué Spa on the 8th floor were incredibly stress-relieving, with seven spacious treatment suites offering an immersive and relaxing experience. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, perfectly suited for business trips, family vacations, or romantic getaways. I've already recommended it to all my friends who appreciate quality!

GGuest UserWestin Nanshan is very conveniently located and is connected to a mall. We had booked one night in the Presidential Suite and another night in Family room. To our pleasant surprise, we were offered an upgrade for the second night in the presidential suite. The facilities were top notch, with private massage chair, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi in the suite. The kids had so much fun enjoying the facilities. Other than that, the breakfast spread in the lobby restaurant and the Westin club was also very good. The hotel also had kids activities for new year. It was such a memorable stay, especially for New Year. Would definitely recommend and come back again

The room I was assigned was great, and having a gym and laundry room available was a real plus. The delivery robot could even bring my takeout directly to the room.
