Overall, it's excellent and the best option in its price range. The room isn't large but has a lot of character and many thoughtful touches. You can really see their commitment to sustainability. They didn't even rush us to check out past noon, even though we hadn't arranged for a late check-out with the front desk beforehand. There were only two minor issues: 1. No bathrobes in the room. I called the front desk twice, and when the staff brought one, she said it didn't have a tie, even though there were clearly loops for one. It seemed like they were short on stock and could only find one without a tie. 2. No slippers provided for showering, so I had to go in barefoot. I considered calling the front desk, but it was getting late, and I didn't want to bother them. However, these two points are completely acceptable and didn't really bother me. My biggest concern when checking in was the front desk mentioning potential noise from city road construction, but it didn't affect my sleep at all.

I booked this hotel through Trip.com and was assigned to the Phase 2 Reef Zone upon check-in. The hotel's main scenery and public facilities are all concentrated in the Phase 1 Beach Zone, and the two areas are quite far apart. Every time I wanted to go to Phase 1, I had to wait for a shuttle bus, which was very inconvenient. There is a boardwalk you can walk on, but the path is also quite difficult to navigate. When booking, Trip.com's page did not clearly indicate the differences between the zones, so it felt like a blind choice since you had no idea which zone a specific room type was in. Phase 2 felt like a dormitory building, yet I paid the price for Phase 1. The gap between expectations and reality was huge, which seriously ruined the vacation experience. There was a lack of adequate information disclosure during the booking process, and I hope Trip.com will intervene and handle this matter properly. On the bright side, the complimentary yacht experience was great. Even when I couldn't book a time slot myself, the butler proactively helped coordinate it. The service was indeed very good.

I know this hotel is undergoing renovations, and some packages for the new room types even include lounge access and five meals a day, which offers excellent value for money! First, regarding the room, the newly renovated style is minimalist and refined. The room feels very spacious and has excellent natural light. The bathroom amenities include Diptyque shampoo, shower gel, and lotion, which was a very pleasant touch. Next, concerning the dining, the five meals included afternoon tea, happy hour, evening dessert and drinks after check-in, and breakfast and lunch on the second day. The afternoon tea was a pleasant surprise. Although the food selection for happy hour wasn't extensive, it focused on quality over quantity. I didn't get to enjoy the late-night dessert session, but I learned that it was a chocolate-themed dessert night, and the themes are updated regularly. It's worth noting that no matter when you dine, you can enjoy unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Finally, I'd like to commend the hotel's service. All the staff I encountered during this stay were extremely polite and friendly. Especially Miss Sahar at the front desk, the check-in process was very smooth and efficient, and she even followed up afterward to see if I needed any assistance. A male staff member in the lounge also provided very professional service, always greeting us with a warm smile every time we entered the lounge for a meal. Overall, my experience during this stay was excellent, and I look forward to visiting again after the full renovation!

I was in Shenzhen for business, near Sun Yat-sen University, and since I wanted a hotel with a swimming pool, I bypassed the closer 'Xueren Yuan' and booked the Grand Mercure. I'd left a few requests in my booking notes, and the front desk lady thoughtfully went through each one with me, fulfilling almost all of them, which I really appreciated. The hotel seemed to have upgraded me to a deluxe twin room (I was traveling alone, and king rooms were full that day). There were two beds, each 1.5 meters wide, so I slept very comfortably. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked a park, and the autumn greenery in the south was vibrant, offering a beautiful view. Like other Huazhu hotels, there didn't seem to be any TV channels; you had to scan a QR code with your phone to cast to the screen. I had my iPad Air with me, so I didn't need to watch TV anyway. The hotel provided two bottles of C'estbon water, and the tea and coffee were good. Breakfast was also very generous. I watched the US Open Women's Singles Final while eating breakfast, which was very enjoyable. My main interest was the pool on the fifth floor, which I believe is outsourced to a fitness center, but free for hotel guests. Unfortunately, because there are many restaurants in the nearby Wanda Plaza, the fifth floor happens to be at the height of their exhaust vents. When I swam in the evening, I was surrounded by the smell of barbecue. When I went for a swim the next morning, I got in the water at 10 AM, and by the time I finished my 1000 meters, the surrounding area was entering lunchtime, and the smells started to waft up again. The hotel's location is excellent. You exit the elevator at D exit of Fenghuangcheng Metro Station, turn right, and you'll see it. Fenghuangcheng Metro Station offers direct, no-transfer lines to Shenzhen North, Guangmingcheng, and Shenzhen Bay Port. There's also a city check-in terminal at the entrance, and hotel guests can take a free shuttle bus to Bao'an Airport, which is convenient for business travelers.

Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen truly lives up to its reputation as a service supreme hotel. Not only is it the highest Mandarin Oriental in Shenzhen, but the service throughout my stay was impeccable. I was thrilled to find out on this business trip that I was staying at the same hotel as my idol, Mr. Andy Lau! Enjoying breakfast on the soaring 78th floor felt like being in a fairyland. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, and the turndown service was as thoughtful as ever. Room service was very responsive. The welcome fruit was fresh and seasonal, and knowing my child enjoyed it, they sent another portion early the next morning. The family-friendly setup was warm and appropriate, and the kids' activities were a lot of fun. Finally, the checkout staff were very polite, escorted me all the way downstairs, and had a record of all my previous requests. I'm sorry I didn't catch their name, but I want to give them a big thumbs up here! It truly is my favorite hotel. While there are many luxury hotels, I particularly adore this one with its oriental charm. Mandarin Oriental will always be my first choice from now on! My only regret this time was that due to limited availability, I couldn't get an upgrade, and also, the welcome music was no longer ”Kangding Love Song.”

I specifically chose to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen, and my overall experience exceeded my expectations. I must specially commend Xana, the Guest Relations Executive! Her professionalism and warm service left a deep impression. Before checking in, she thoughtfully reminded me of travel注意事项. The check-in process was efficient and quick, with no tedious waiting, and her service was gentle and meticulous. During my stay, Xana did her best to accommodate my last-minute personalized requests, actively following up and patiently coordinating throughout, always maintaining a warm and friendly attitude. Unlike templated services, Xana is observant and genuinely attentive. She proactively checks on guests' experiences and promptly asks about their comfort. The hotel environment is high-end and elegant, the public areas are clean and tidy, and the guest rooms are well-designed, clean, and free of unpleasant odors. The toiletries are of high quality. It was a very rejuvenating stay, and I am grateful for Xana's dedicated efforts. Her sincere service truly embodies Marriott's high-end service standards. It deserves a five-star recommendation!

It's been over a year since my last visit. It feels like all the executive lounge staff are new, I didn't recognize anyone. But the service was as excellent as ever. Before checking in, I noted that my husband's birthday was the next day, and the hotel decorated the room a bit and gave us a small cake 🧁. The only downside was that I forgot to press the 'do not disturb' button during our nap, and a cleaning lady rang the doorbell to ask about cleaning satisfaction, which woke up our family of three.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen this time and had an overall fantastic experience. Definitely a 5-star rating! The hotel is centrally located in Luohu, making getting around, shopping, and dining extremely convenient, and staying here with kids was hassle-free. The room was spacious and comfortable, with soft bedding, and both cleanliness and soundproofing were great, ensuring a peaceful stay. What I want to praise the most is the hotel service—it was truly thoughtful! I ordered food delivery, and a staff member proactively helped bring it up to the room. It's a small detail, but it felt so heartwarming, especially when it's inconvenient to go downstairs with a child. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping teams were all warm, professional, and prompt in their responses, reflecting a very high standard of service. Breakfast offered a rich variety of choices, and the hotel facilities are very well-maintained. Whether for business travel or a family vacation, the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is well worth recommending. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shenzhen, and a special thank you to Monica from the Guest Experience team who helped deliver my food. Five-star review!

Overall, a huge thumbs-up! Everything was fantastic, from the rooms to the overall facilities and the staff. A special shout-out to Cassie from Guest Relations, who called ahead to accommodate my room preferences – so thoughtful and attentive. Niya was professional and incredibly warm, patiently helping throughout our stay, which really made the experience perfect. Also, Sally, who handled our check-in, was meticulous and professional, and the ladies in the executive lounge were kind and patient. The staff we met in the breakfast restaurant, housekeeping, and the lobby were all very professional and enthusiastic. Plus, the pool was incredibly comfortable, with great water quality, excellent facilities, and responsible staff. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at The Westin Shenzhen Yitian during the National Day holiday and had a very comfortable experience. Special thanks to receptionist Leila Yang, who kindly upgraded us to a room with a Window of the World view. For three nights, we sat on the balcony sipping beer while watching the drone show—the location is simply unbeatable. Minor flaws aside, this classic 5-star hotel still truly shines. Highlights of our stay: 1. Near-perfect location & transport: Directly opposite Window of the World and connected to Yitian Holiday Plaza. You can take the elevator straight up to the lobby from level B2 of the mall, completely indoors—a lifesaver on rainy days. Direct access via Exit A of the Window of the World Metro Station (Lines 1/2), within walking distance to Happy Valley and Splendid China. It's also just around a 10-minute drive to the Shenzhen Bay Port and about 30 minutes to the airport. 2. Room & Views: Spacious room with fantastic views. The signature ”Heavenly Bed” was super comfortable, and looking out over the illuminated Window of the World at night was wonderful. 3. The pool was the best surprise: The outdoor landscaped pool is a real standout among Shenzhen hotels—it's large, with distinct deep and shallow ends, making it great for families with kids. 4. Dining & Service: The breakfast buffet offered great variety and authentic flavors, complemented by genuinely attentive service in the restaurant. The Executive Lounge staff were also warm and thoughtful. Overall, service requests were handled quickly, delivery robots brought takeout right to the door, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming.
