GGuest UserI was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations. The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy. The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building. For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet. Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers. There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests. The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated. The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall. The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great. For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

GGuest UserI booked this hotel last minute after spending two days in Dameisha, and to my surprise, the experience was fantastic. From service to ambiance, dining to cleanliness, the Ritz-Carlton perfectly showcased the quality expected of a top luxury hotel. The day before check-in, a staff member contacted me to inquire about my preferences and schedule. The next day, I had a smooth check-in, and they thoughtfully prepared toiletries for my child. I had seen some reviews saying the hotel wasn't very welcoming to children, but that's absolutely not true! From the doorman to the lobby staff and every other team member I encountered, everyone was incredibly warm, sincere, and polite. Traveling with my two children, I felt truly touched by their kindness. The room was clean, bright, and airy, with not a speck of dust in any corner. The bedding was comfortable, and they even offered a variety of pillows to choose from, which was a huge plus for a picky sleeper like me. The breakfast was rich and exquisite – and I say that based on comparisons with other hotels in the same price range. The outdoor pool also deserves a special mention; the night view, in particular, was stunning, far more impressive in person than in pictures. This time, I was short on time and couldn't experience the spa, but I did try the indoor hot spring and steam room, which were incredibly relaxing and washed away the fatigue of a long day. To sum up the Ritz-Carlton in one sentence: it's a hotel you won't want to leave, and one you'll definitely return to.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is perfect for a vacation. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the metro station, and there's an outlet mall right across the street. The beach is only 5 minutes away, and you can even borrow sand-digging tools for free, which is super convenient if you're traveling with kids. The decor is stylish and minimalist, and the infinity pool is absolutely stunning and great for photos. It's a shame it rained during my stay, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. The room itself is spacious, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, a large bathtub, and complimentary toiletries. They even have a Tmall Genie, so the smart features are pretty good. The hotel also provides a laundry room with washing and drying facilities, which is very convenient for travelers. Breakfast was just okay, nothing particularly special. **Heads-up/Watch out for:** One side of the building was under construction during my stay. The balcony had no view and came with noise, which significantly detracted from the experience. Also, the smart toilet was very annoying; the sensor was too sensitive, so it would open automatically whenever someone walked by. Flushing was hit or miss, and the seat was uncomfortably hot and difficult to adjust – a really frustrating experience. The complimentary drink voucher we received was for the pool bar, and the drinks were pretty mediocre. Overall, the hotel's strong points are its location and family-friendliness, and the hardware looks great. I recommend asking to avoid the construction-side rooms and requesting a pool-side room when you book.

Taxis back and forth don't cost much, making transportation very convenient and fast! I originally planned to stay for two more nights on my return trip, but due to an unexpected trip out of town, I couldn't make it. I asked the front desk to cancel, and they handled it smoothly and efficiently, canceling the reservation for me!

It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, with plenty of food, drink, and shopping options nearby. Getting to tourist attractions takes about ten minutes by taxi, which is super friendly for travelers. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too firm – I slept soundly all night. The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was very refreshing, and the toiletries smelled lovely. The WiFi was fast, perfect for streaming without any buffering. The hotel staff were attentive and thoughtful; the front desk proactively upgraded our room, the housekeeping staff kept our room spotless every day, and the restaurant aunties warmly recommended dishes.
