Suzhou Marriott Hotel Revisited – A Timeless Five-Star Experience This is my second stay at the Suzhou Marriott, and it's as excellent as ever. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Gusu District, making it a quick taxi ride to attractions like Hanshan Temple, Shantang Street, Pingjiang Road, and Lingering Garden. Check-in was seamless. The spacious bathroom with a bathtub is a definite plus, and the stable water pressure and instant hot water in the shower, along with the large window, were the icing on the cake. From the higher floors, you get a fantastic view of the Gusu old town skyline, and the sunset streaming in during the evening was incredibly relaxing. For breakfast, I highly recommend trying the freshly made Suzhou-style stewed pork noodles at the live cooking station – the broth is flavorful, and the noodles have a great bite. As an established hotel, the overall service is exceptionally warm. The staff at the front desk, guest services, and fitness center are all very attentive, thoughtful of guests' needs, and go out of their way to accommodate individual requests.

The Suzhou Taihu Marriott Hotel, nestled in the Taihu Holiday Resort, is a high-end resort hotel known for its outstanding overall reputation and excellent guest experience. The hotel boasts prime, unobstructed views of Taihu Lake, offering expansive and beautiful scenery. The sunset views in the evening create a wonderful ambiance. Surrounded by mountains and forests, the environment is serene and peaceful, far from the city's hustle and bustle, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive and well-equipped, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a children's play area. Guests can also enjoy complimentary vehicle rentals for exploring around the lake, providing a rich array of leisure and entertainment options that are also highly suitable for families traveling with children. The rooms are designed in an elegant new Chinese style, offering a high level of comfort. The bathroom layout is well-planned. We stayed in a lake-view room, and opening the window instantly offered views of the lake and the golf course, making for a truly pleasant and comfortable stay. The hotel also provided some added value services, such as tickets to nearby attractions. The staff were attentive and thoughtful; our butler proactively inquired about our check-in needs, and the overall service quality was excellent.

After my high school entrance exams, my family and I came to Yangcheng Lake for a relaxing vacation and chose a lake-view twin room. It was a three-day, two-night trip, and aside from a quick visit to Bicester, all our other activities were at the hotel. Both the facilities and service at the Marriott completely won us over! The hotel is situated by the lake, blending the Suzhou aesthetic of 'Six Chapters of a Floating Life' with white walls, water features, and landscaped gardens. Every step reveals a new scenic spot, showcasing the elegance of Jiangnan. The staff were gentle and attentive throughout our stay. Check-in was efficient, and Lisa at the front desk specifically asked about our room location and floor preferences. Our lake-view room was a pleasant surprise, with a large balcony directly overlooking the clear waters. It was quiet and pleasant, and the birdsong helped us shake off the post-exam fatigue. The Suzhou-style noodles for breakfast were fresh and authentic, and the breads and pastries were of excellent quality. There were several self-service coffee machines, which meant no waiting in line. The heated pool and kids' club facilities were excellent, ensuring everyone in the family found something enjoyable to do. In the evening, we strolled along the lakeside lawn; the evening breeze carried the fresh scent of the lake, creating a peaceful and healing atmosphere. Whether it was the cleaning staff in the corridors or the restaurant servers, everyone had a warm smile. We come to Yangcheng Lake every year, but each time brings a new surprise. On the way back, my family said, 'In four months, when it's crab season, we'll definitely come back to the Marriott for a second visit!'
