Hotel Noorjahan Grand

Hotel Noorjahan Grand ★★★★

📍 Waves 1 Dargah Gate, Sylhet

"I must be honest here all the staff I met were excellent. From the guards to room service . They were very pleasant and friendly and I felt safe around them. The location was one of the main reasons for staying as both my parents graves are at Shahjalal mazar. The hotel was ok but could do with a refurb , the food quality in the Antalya restaurant needs much improvement especially due to the price they charge. Maybe consider making the menu smaller and improve the quality. The breakfast was very repetitive as I was there for 20 days. I think the swimming area lets in too many non residents which affected the enjoyment and restricted me from using it only a couple of times due to overcrowding. To be honest I would only stay there again if I heard there was a refurb . Will be back in November but not sure where I will stay. But I do miss the friendliness of the staff."

"Well it was cheap but the rooms are very outdated and Aircon keep on switching off in the middle of the night and day time. Reception staff were nice ."

Rose View Hotel

Rose View Hotel ★★★★★

📍 Rose View Complex, Bishwa Rd, Sylhet

"Our stay started out with a request for an airport pick up, which was a disaster. The driver spoke no English, fine he knew where to take us. He drove like a bat out of hell zig zagging into oncoming traffic and semi trucks, beeping and tooting his horn every 3 seconds. Then, he decides to take a personal detour for some unknown reason which took us 20+ minutes out of the way from the hotel. He exits the vehicle and is gone for over 5 minutes. We had no phone signal nor any idea if he had simply abandoned us. We finally made it to the hotel and this place is, at best, a 1 or 2 star hotel in a major city anywhere on Earth. The rooms are generally clean, but the carpets and furniture leave something to be desired. I decided to use bottled water to brush my teeth, and they did leave ample waters in the rooms. There is a “speakeasy” on floor 11 that serves one brand of beer in a bottle and shots of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, and not cheaply I might add. A small bottle of beer will set you back $6. Hopefully this chaotic city will one day receive a Bonvoy property."

📍 VVV8+J3Q Jollarpar, Sylhet

"This is probably the best hotel to stay at in the city of Sylhet! Location is right in the city center and rooms were modern for a comfortable stay. The bellman were also super kind, often hailing me down CNGs to take me around the city, so special shoutout to them for that."

Hotel Supreme

Hotel Supreme ★★★

📍 Tamabil Rd, Sylhet

"Located by the side of main road. Reception hall is spacious. Rooms are neat and clean. Best part of this hotel is not luxary but healthy.Rooms corridoor are big. As such air can flow freely. It has a restaurant. Foods are tasty and cheap. Geyser worked always. Front desk officers are nice and cooperative. "

Hotel Star Pacific

Hotel Star Pacific ★★★★

📍 982, East Dargah Gate, Sylhet

"We had a pleasant stay. Location is great. The staff / service was very good. Breakfast, dinner, room service was great. This is more on level with Holiday Inn. On our last day after checking out, we were called at our room and asked by the man on the desk to pay tips to the executive team, he stated this twice. I feel this was only because I am female and from the UK and visiting family in Bangladesh. We had planned on giving small gifts to the team but I found this unprofessional and unacceptable, it disappointed us on our last day in Bangladesh."

Rahma’s B&B
8.6 (41 reviews)

Rahma’s B&B ★★★

📍 Waves 1, H. S. Tower, Dargah Gate, Sylhet

"The hotel stuff are very friendly, they are always ready for help. At the first night I got there with sleepy body, they lead me to a great Indian restaurant with proper price. Especially Rumel, he can speak fluent English and offer me great help when taking a CNG to airport & national park trip. There seems just one floor, several rooms. 1902 is the best experience I’ve spent, nice sunshine and big enough to do some exercise. There is also a family room suited for some family coming together but the sunshine is not that good as the king bedroom 1902. Anyway this is a fantastic trip, and if anyone will pay a visit here for trip, I recommend u call the front desk first to get a pickup service first and some suggestion where to go. Hope next time meet."

Hotel Supreme ★★★
"I had a negative experience at Hotel Supreme in Mirabazar, Sylhet. The waiters were very rude to another customer, which I saw and heard. The waiters were talking to each other about putting urine in the food talking in local language, which was really shocking. Additionally, the manager at the front desk also had serious communication skills issues. Additionally, the morning breakfast was of very poor quality, which resulted in food poisoning and an upset stomach. I would advise everyone to avoid this hotel and its restaurants to prevent encountering the same issues. Please note that my opinion is based on my personal experience. Thank you."

Rahma’s B&B ★★★
"Rahma’s B&B was absolutely the best hotel I stayed at during my week-long trip to Bangladesh. My wife and I traveled to over ten countries together, and this hotel was one of the most attentive in all the countries we visited. We stayed here for two nights. Located in an alley, the friendly staff proactively helped us with our luggage, meaning we could sleep peacefully away from the noise of the main street. The room had a balcony where we could dry our clothes. The breakfast was fantastic; they delivered it to our room both nights. They even had my favorite Protta bread! When the front desk learned I liked it, they gave me an extra one the next day! The hotel helped us arrange our chartered car trips to Jaflong, Ratargul, and Shada Pathor. The price was very reasonable, and the driver was very considerate. When we returned from Jaflong, my wife felt dizzy and vomited in the room. The hotel staff promptly cleaned up after us, which made us feel both embarrassed and touched by their thoughtful service and assistance. The next morning, we were going to take a chartered car to Ratargul and Shata Pathor, but we needed to take a shuttle bus to Cox's Bazar that evening. This meant we had to check out after breakfast, and our clothes weren't dry yet. The staff generously helped us hang them to dry on the upstairs balcony, so we could return with dry clothes after a day of travel. What touched us even more was that when we returned from Shata Pathor at 5 PM, we were exhausted and smelly, and since we had already checked out and our bus to Cox's Bazar wasn't until 8:40 PM, we had nowhere to go. The hotel surprisingly allowed us to rest in our room for three hours free of charge! Now, after a shower, I'm comfortably lying in my room, enjoying the air conditioning, waiting for the bus to Cox's Bazar, and I'm writing this review with gratitude. If I ever come to Sylhet again, I will definitely stay here again. Rahma’s B&B was absolutely the best hotel I stayed in during my week-long trip to Bangladesh.
