"We booked with Jet2 Holidays, the price including car was amazing. The apartments are recent build so modern, clean and bright. All the staff were smiley and helpful, in particular we'd like to single out Adrian who went beyond the expected in every way, including writing on the map all his recommendations. (We followed his advice to Pico de las Nieves and ate at his suggested restaurant in Tejeda, he wasn't wrong). You will need to visit Spar in Mogan, or Mercadona in Maspalomas (I'm sure there are others but nothing you'd care to eat from the little Taurito shop, OK for booze and ice, so I think a car is a necessity). The pool terrific for proper swimming and enough sun loungers for all sun worshippers. If I was asked to suggest an improvement it would only be sunshades on at least one of the apartment terraces, and a comfy outdoor chair, but I'm being picky, we had a great time and loved it. I've given it maximum stars because we got much more than we paid for! We only dined there one night but the restaurant was buffet style, clean, bright, and the same smiling staff."

"We like this hotel and this was our 4th visit. The staff are lovely and always polite and can’t do enough for you. The hotel and rooms are kept extremely clean We love the late breakfast in the Taste Restaurant as it is more relaxed than the main buffet restaurant. We also love a lazy lunch in the Taste Restaurant. There is always a generous choice of food and wonderful salads which suits us. We enjoy the evening entertainment. Taurito is very small with a few shops and this may not suit everyone. There is a daily free bus to beautiful Puerto de Mogan if you want to shop or sit by the marina for a drink or coffee. The one thing that I like the most is that they do not allow guests to reserve sun beds prior to 10am."

"The hotel is located in nice quiet alcove outside the busy areas of the other towns in Gran Canaria. It faces a public beach, which is easily accessible, but does not have a beach of its own. The facilities are wonderful, clean and capable of hosting the hundreds of tourists that descend upon the hotel in winter. The pools are large and the gym is well equipped. The kids club and animation are adequate, but I have seen better. The food spread is huge and the quality is good, but it tends to be bland and not sufficiently spiced. Overall I would rate it 8/10 and would consider visiting again."

"Very uninviting, very basic rooms , no spare pillows or kettles in the room. Staff struggled to communicate with good manners. Food ?? Hmmm … not one good thing about the restaurant … feels like canteen actually and food absolutely basic. AI activities are very limited as indoor pool or water parks open only 10-6.. after 6 you are forced to entertain kids outside in the arcade area which of course is very costly, felt like structured camp rather then 4* holiday for 3k wifi also is nearly non existent in the room . Definitely do not recommend for such price."

Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito & Aquapark ★★★

"Myself, partner and our 11yo granddaughter stayed here for a week in July. Our room was a standard double with a view of the waterpark. The room was was a little dated but was clean and practical for our stay. The aircon was a waste of electric. The room was very hot . The rooms are cleaned everyday apart from a Sunday. The cleaners are very good and do a fab job. The hotel was nice and clean, the lifts are very temperamental and break down a lot, but the amount of guests using them then you can't really expect much else. They are always quick to do any repairs. They pool is quite small for the size of the hotel but always seemed to be plenty room for everyone. The entertainment could do with some improvement but it's something to do to kill an hour or so. Lots of amusements, trampolines and mini golf to keep yous entertained but make sure you take plenty cash as these are all chargeable. All the extra expense does add up, we spent quite a bit considering it's Ai. The food was typical Ai. We did struggle a few lunch times to find something to eat. The pool bar has snacks throughout the days. Awful burgers and cheese toasties. The Ai drinks aren't nice, the ready made cocktails are awful. We spent quite a bit buying premium drinks. They have soft drinks on tap. The bar staff were very nice always having a bit fun with the customers. The beach is black sand and although it's very messy we enjoyed spending time on the there. We did the souix city trip and had the best time. We booked with Elain, she was very friendly and helped us a lot. If your going to do a trip the Souix city is a must. We used the local taxis for trips to Peurto Rico and Mogan market. The aircon in the taxis was lovely as it was super hot. We paid €15 to Peurto Rico and €30 to Mogan ( this included a tip). Mogan market is a Friday and an absolute must. The replica clothing/bags etc are very expensive but always barter with the sellers. Other stalls were quite good with handmade items and souvenirs. The market is very big so give yourself plenty of time to get around it. There's a couple of bars on the beach if you want a change. We had breakfast one morning and had drinks a couple of nights. The water park was the best part of our stay. This was free entry, the Ai isn't part of the water park but the food isn't too badly priced and was quite nice. We spent a lot of time at the waterpark. The water is salty but it didn't bother us. We enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't return to lago taurito."
