Guest UserOverall, it was excellent, especially the cleanliness, service, and facilities. The only drawback was its distance from both JR (Shinjuku Station) and Tokyo Metro subway stations; for example, it took over 20 minutes to walk to JR Shinjuku Station. However, getting to and from the airport was incredibly convenient, as the shuttle pickup/drop-off point for Shinjuku Washington Hotel was just a 2-minute walk away. The room itself was fantastic, a Family Apartment spanning over 40 square meters, very new, and well-designed with ample space. We could easily set aside our shopping for last-minute packing without cluttering the main living area. The bathroom was well-separated, with a dedicated toilet and shower area. The kitchenette was well-equipped with dishes, bowls, plates, pots, and pans, along with a medium-sized refrigerator and microwave, perfect for cooking our own meals or heating up items from convenience stores. There were coin-operated washing machines on the second floor, though we didn't use them. With two elevators, waiting times were minimal. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, explaining every step during check-in. We were also lucky to get early check-in at 10 AM, which was a huge bonus for anyone arriving in Tokyo early in the morning. If I have the chance to visit Tokyo again, I would definitely stay with Mimaru, perhaps in a different location like Ginza, Ueno, Asakusa, or Ikebukuro.

Pros:
1. Right across from the hotel is Torikizoku, open until 4:30 AM. This was a lifesaver for us after our flight was delayed and we arrived in the middle of the night.
2. The next day, getting a taxi to Tokyo Station was incredibly convenient, taking only 5 minutes.
3. The front desk staff were very professional. When we arrived close to midnight, the elderly gentleman on duty was still meticulously attentive. The two young men at the front desk the next day during checkout were also very enthusiastic and even helped us call a taxi.
The only slight drawback was the air conditioning. There were two adults and two children, and one child slept on the top bunk. They woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot and stuffy in their chest. We didn't know why at the time, but realized the next day it was likely due to the hot air from the AC rising. I suggest putting a small note in the room with tips for those sleeping on the top bunk regarding AC usage.

We stayed at MIMARU Tokyo Station East for 5 nights in a Two-Bedroom Apartment, and it was an excellent choice for our family. The apartment was spacious by Tokyo standards and very thoughtfully designed for families. Having two separate bedrooms gave everyone privacy and made the stay much more comfortable, especially after long days of sightseeing. The beds were comfortable, and the layout allowed us to relax without feeling cramped. The kitchenette was compact but practical, perfect for simple meals and snacks.
The hotel’s location is a huge plus — it’s within walking distance of Tokyo Station and other transport options, making it very convenient for getting around the city. Despite the central location, the area felt quiet and safe at night.
The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with questions or requests. The hotel clearly caters well to families, which we really appreciated.
Overall, MIMARU Tokyo Station East is a fantastic option for families looking for space, comfort, and convenience in Tokyo. We would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it to families traveling together.

Traveling with kids, this hotel is actually quite convenient. However, this particular location in Tokyo was genuinely dirty. The bedsheets felt like they hadn't been changed from the previous guest; I felt itchy sleeping on them, and there was a lot of hair in the duvet. It really wasn't clean.

Guest UserThe hotel location was great, 4min walk from metro station and 10min walk from JR station, very convenient. There was also a 24hour supermarket close by as well as a daiso that opens at 7am!
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Amenities were amazing. Everything was there, from liquid detergent to pots and pans. They offered to clean up the room every 2 days, but still cleared the garbage daily. A point to note was that they didn’t vacuum properly under the table as the crumbs we dropped were sitting there for days.
Room was relatively spacious, we managed to have 3 suitcases open all at the same time, but the closet was a tad small. We had to set up our own tatami beds the first evening, other than that it was also good. They had electric plugs and switches on the bed headboard which was also convenient. Shower was also spacious with tub.
Overall super happy with our stay, and would definitely consider it again

The room was spacious with excellent amenities. They even had items available for loan, like a hair curler. However, I'd suggest improving the extra bedding (mattress and blanket) that was stored in the closet; it was very dusty.

This hotel is located north of JR Ueno Station. The most convenient way to access it is through the Iriya Gate exit. From there, it's about an 8-minute walk to the hotel, situated in a quiet residential area. There's a convenience store right around the corner downstairs. However, it's about a 10-minute walk or more to Ameyoko market. As it's an apartment-style hotel, the room is quite spacious and comes with a small kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, induction hob, and tableware provided) and a dining area, making it ideal for families.

Super sweet stay, great location - 3mins walk to metro, very clean and cozy - we stayed as a family of 5 and found the space to be comfortable!
Variety of food choices around and convenient stores too. Paid self service laundry is available with coin exchange machine too.
They have bus shuttle provided as well - both Tyoko and Narita airplanes which is very convenient
In our case, we booked a stay in Narita separately and they were very kind to assist with luggage delivery which we were able to get on the next day (same day delivery available too within certain areas). The cost varies upon luggage sizes which were very reasonable and we gladly took upon and travelled hassle free - tracking number provided too. A very seamless process which their front staff made it even more convenient with communications!
Very happy with Minmaru and will definitely stay again when we come back!
Highly recommended for families

The room was very clean, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer-dryer combo, various tableware, a refrigerator, and a microwave, making it perfect for a family of four. The location is fantastic, a three-minute walk to the subway station connecting two lines. There are many restaurants nearby, including delicious Wagyu beef barbecue. A convenience store is just ten meters downstairs where you can buy breakfast for the next day. There's also a large supermarket selling drugstore items nearby. I stayed for three nights and would definitely choose this place again without hesitation.

MIMA,RU Tokyo Asakusa Station has a fantastic location, perfect for exploring the area. The room was decent—comfortable and well-equipped for a short stay. One thing to adjust to was the lack of daily cleaning, but they did come to change towels and empty the bin, which helped. If booking, I’d recommend requesting a room on the fifth floor or above to enjoy a nice river view. Overall, it is a suitable stay for those who don’t mind a more self-sufficient setup and would definitely recommend for families.
