MIMARU Hotels in Tokyo

Perfect for a family of four. It's incredibly convenient to buy groceries from a nearby supermarket and cook them back at the hotel. You can walk just a few minutes to the Shinjuku Washington Hotel to catch the airport shuttle, and it's the same stop for both arrival and departure, which saves a lot of hassle with luggage. You need to pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers at the front desk, while tea bags are self-service. This hotel has a lot of international guests. If you're planning to shop, there's a bus stop just a dozen meters to the right of the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. There's a small but delicious sushi restaurant downstairs nearby. Directly across from the airport shuttle stop is a park, perfect for taking the kids out in the morning before the shops open.

All the staff who I interacted with before i arrived (via emails) and throughout my stay are all very friendly and helpful. Room is clean; Shampoo, conditioner and showers gel are provided in the room. Other items such as toothbrush and toothpaste, have to be requested at the front counter. Daily basic cleaning which involves emptying bins, changing of towels. On the 3rd day, they will arrange your beds. Location is at the quiet side of Tokyo, 5 mins walk from Hatchobori and Kayabacho station respectively. You can see a few lawson, 7-11 and family mart; Tomad and Sugi pharmacy and small restaurants along the way from the train stations to the hotel. Mimaru tokyo station east which is along the road, is maybe 2 mins walk from here. Mimaru also has their own luggage delivery service. Recommend to stay here if you prefer a quieter area and nearer to Tokyo disneyland

We stayed at MIMARU Tokyo Station East for 5 nights in a Two-Bedroom Apartment, and it was an excellent choice for our family. The apartment was spacious by Tokyo standards and very thoughtfully designed for families. Having two separate bedrooms gave everyone privacy and made the stay much more comfortable, especially after long days of sightseeing. The beds were comfortable, and the layout allowed us to relax without feeling cramped. The kitchenette was compact but practical, perfect for simple meals and snacks. The hotel’s location is a huge plus — it’s within walking distance of Tokyo Station and other transport options, making it very convenient for getting around the city. Despite the central location, the area felt quiet and safe at night. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with questions or requests. The hotel clearly caters well to families, which we really appreciated. Overall, MIMARU Tokyo Station East is a fantastic option for families looking for space, comfort, and convenience in Tokyo. We would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it to families traveling together.

I've stayed at Mimaru three times now. Once after COVID, and then three years before that. This branch has the fewest amenities, and I wasn't very impressed. I'm not sure if their policy has changed or if it's just this particular branch. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all the hotel's own brand. They don't have many of the basic things you'd usually find elsewhere, like a shower cap. The pajamas are just a thin cover, so you'd be exposed if you didn't wear something underneath. Also, when I tried to borrow items, they either didn't have them or couldn't find them. This trip, I was traveling for 12 days, going from Hokkaido (Sapporo, Asahikawa) to Tokyo. Mimaru was the most expensive but offered the fewest amenities. The only good thing is that the room can accommodate five people, but everything else was disappointing this time. My favorite branch was in Osaka. I'm not sure if it's a policy change or if this branch is an exception, but my travel companions also mentioned that other branches they recently stayed at were better. I recommend comparing branches if you're considering staying here.

The hotel location was great, 4min walk from metro station and 10min walk from JR station, very convenient. There was also a 24hour supermarket close by as well as a daiso that opens at 7am! The staff were friendly and helpful. Amenities were amazing. Everything was there, from liquid detergent to pots and pans. They offered to clean up the room every 2 days, but still cleared the garbage daily. A point to note was that they didn’t vacuum properly under the table as the crumbs we dropped were sitting there for days. Room was relatively spacious, we managed to have 3 suitcases open all at the same time, but the closet was a tad small. We had to set up our own tatami beds the first evening, other than that it was also good. They had electric plugs and switches on the bed headboard which was also convenient. Shower was also spacious with tub. Overall super happy with our stay, and would definitely consider it again

This hotel offers a great variety of room types, making it perfect for family trips. Our room had two single beds and two tatami mats, a small kitchen, and a living room. The separate toilet and bathroom were very convenient. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the fridge, freezer, and air conditioning all worked perfectly. There's also a coin-operated laundry facility downstairs. The location is a transport hub, and you can easily walk to Ameyokocho and the 0101 department store. It's only a 5-10 minute walk from Ueno Station, making it super convenient for getting around. Highly recommended!

I've been staying here since May 11th and my first impression was great because it's quiet and the staff are friendly. It's about a 3-minute walk to the Shiriya exit of Ueno Station, a good 10 minutes to the Ginza Line ticket gates, and roughly 15 minutes if you're dragging luggage to the Skyliner. The lobby has coffee, tea, and robes available for guests, which is convenient. There's also a Lawson convenience store about a minute's walk towards the station from the hotel entrance, which is super handy. You can even buy Asahi draft beer there, which isn't available in Korea. The automatic bidet is very comfortable to use, and there are plenty of towels, so I haven't had any inconveniences. However, I'm staying in a room facing the station. While it's nice to see the trains, the interior of the room is completely visible from the outside at night. From the path leading up to Ueno Park, you can see right into the hotel rooms. So, at night, it's best to pull the blinds all the way down or, like us, use large shopping bags to cover the window area. This way, you can still enjoy the outside view while maintaining some privacy inside the room. During the day, when the sun is bright, the room isn't visible at all. The location is excellent. It's a 5-minute walk to the central fountain at Ueno Park. I highly recommend watching the fountain show at night.

Loved the room, it has ample space for a family of four and made packing our shopping easy. TCAT was near so it made travelling to the airports hassle-free. Closest station is Suitengumae of the Hanzomon Line, and Ningyoncho is really close by too. Attached is a picture of a fish Yakitori place at Ningyongcho called Uokushi, which I highly recommend for dinner and a beer. Service was top notch as well.

The room was very clean, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer-dryer combo, various tableware, a refrigerator, and a microwave, making it perfect for a family of four. The location is fantastic, a three-minute walk to the subway station connecting two lines. There are many restaurants nearby, including delicious Wagyu beef barbecue. A convenience store is just ten meters downstairs where you can buy breakfast for the next day. There's also a large supermarket selling drugstore items nearby. I stayed for three nights and would definitely choose this place again without hesitation.

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and provided a very detailed explanation of all the services and important information. Plus, there were Chinese-speaking staff available. The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right from the subway exit. There's a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs, which was handy for buying water and drinks. The pudding and milk there were delicious! It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Skytree and just 5 minutes to Senso-ji Temple. The room layout was well-designed, with plenty of hanging space and a desk and chairs large enough to easily place our belongings.
