"We had to call reception multiple times as we waited long for someone to come and assist us in the room with the tv yet they were quick to call us to ask when we would be checking out when we were a few minutes over check out times due to my partner being extremely sick. The room service was bad, we waited long for our food and when it got to us the fries was cold. I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich but instead received what looked like a panini with slices of cheese on and some herb sauce. The bread itself seemed stale as well. At this point it was past 11pm and I was in no mood to reorder anything else. There wasn't even a porter waiting for us, at least by the lifts, to help us with our bags. We paid over R2500 for that ONE NIGHT stay and you couldn't even help us with our bags!! Extremely disappointing."

"Although the hotel is very high end and luxurious, we felt a little out. We are not ****** at all, but we were the only white guests residing at the hotel which was a bit awkward. Also the fact that the estate residents use the lagoon and hotel services makes it feel that the exclusivity of the hotel stay is compromised."

"The service was very excellent.I was welcomed with warm hands and it was no fuss very easy to go and come to my room.Facilities were working although I had my hopes high thinking Netflix works however it’s not a fuss .I enjoyed the food ,was very very delicious and nice 🥰.A very beautiful view surely I’ll come back next time What I was disappointed at Was my door being stuck and unable to open which I think it jammed !!Had to wait about 30 min for my door to open and I didn’t see any full toiletries however I req one but came just like that and took forever to arrive ."

"A wonderful and safe place to stay in Pretoria. The host was very friendly and checked us in well before our scheduled check-in time, giving us a chance to rest after a long flight. This place is run by very nice people. The room smelled nice and was very clean, the mattress and pillow were comfortable, and we were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. There was a strong sense of security, as the grounds were guarded. The only thing I missed was a hairdryer. The soundproofing was a bit lacking; in the morning, we could hear people talking outside our room. Overall, I can confidently recommend this place; you'll be welcomed like good friends :)"

We had diner from the a la carte menu and it was excellent, I can recommend the steak with marrobone. Breakfast is also great, a wonderful selection and you can sit outside if you wish, overlooking the lake. Staff are wonderful, professional and attentive. We also enjoyed very much the sauna in the spa area."

"Once, but never again. We stayed here for 1 night as a bridge to Joburg airport. The room was old and smelled musty and in no way resembled the images on the site. A room change also did not help. The low point is the restaurant. Helped by a sweet young lady who unfortunately had no experience whatsoever. The kitchen was even more dramatic. A steak that was cooked to the level of the sole of the shoe, despite requesting medium rear. After sending it back, attempt 2 was even worse. The dessert was still frozen upon arrival, so the art of a microwave was also too ambitious. So skip this one."
