"We visited Hotel Lago in Ulm for breakfast with friends and were fortunate to get a table on the terrace overlooking the lake. The setting is truly beautiful – peaceful, spacious, and very comfortable, making it an ideal spot to start the day. The breakfast buffet is not overly large, but well-curated with a good variety of quality items. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. A highlight is the live cooking station where egg dishes are freshly prepared to order. However, the wait at the egg station was surprisingly long. Guests are required to queue up and wait quite a while, which can be inconvenient, especially during peak times. Overall, it’s a lovely experience in a stunning location – just be prepared to bring a little patience if you're hoping for scrambled eggs."

"Location is quite good, next the river. 12-15 minutes walk to city centre, most staff speak fluent English and friendly. Hotel has been modernised, good sized swimming pool. It’s been a heatwave during our stay in Europe, the hotel room has very good air conditioning. They have only one English tv channel at 53 for Sky News. The only downside is the fringe doesn’t feel cold enough."

"We enjoyed the comfort and quietness of this hotel. It is an economical hotel close to Ulm's train station as well. The location is ok and it is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and Ulm Munster. There isn't much nearby but most spots to see in Ulm are about 10 to 20 minutes away and there are plenty of good restaurants throughout Ulm that aren't too far away from the hotel. This is a true economy hotel and it has standard offerings similar to other B&B hotels. They have a small table, a couple of stools, a small TV and some space to hang up clothes and put your things. The bed is comfy, the wifi is good, the room was clean, and the room was very quiet at night. The temperature was easy to control for our room with the AC unit that blew plenty of heat in December and quickly warmed up the room. We also learned during this stay that you could borrow a kettle at the front desk but you need to pay for the tea bags. The bathroom was good and the shower offers good pressure and the temperature is easy to control. You may want to consider bringing your own products because they have an all in one body cleanser here. One thing we thought could improve the hotel is a better means to access the hotel if you arrive early because they don't always leave the door open/unlocked as we found out when we arrived to drop off our bags around 11 am. Not all staff here speak English either but they were good when we checked in. They do have a self check in kiosk outside the lobby but it didn't seem to be working when we visited and we would be slightly concerned if we came very late to check in because it seems their front desk is not always manned. They use a code to access the hotel after hours but you need to check in first and that same code is used to unlock your room's door. The hotel has street parking nearby as well as a parking garage underneath. The hotel offers a discounted breakfast if you use their application and there may be a membership to get a free breakfast during your stay. They have drinks, snacks and pizza available at the front desk too."

"The hotel is a reasonably priced alternative to other hotels in the area. The train station is about a five-minute walk away—very convenient. There are significant drawbacks in the quality of the towels and, unfortunately, in some cases, in the cleanliness (the toilet seat was dirty). However, the friendly staff—family-run—was a plus. However, as a single traveler, I wouldn't spend more than €60 here."
