Hotel Pelegrin Plava Laguna ★★★★
"We stayed during the off-season, the area was nice and quiet. The hotel is nicely renovated, and everything is clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway could be heard through the doors."
Hotel Natura Vilanija ★★★
"Easy hotel"
Hotel Aurora Plava Laguna ★★★★
"Good:sea is very close to the hotel Bad: everything else. the staff is terrible. especially the pepi club staff, which was the reason why we chose this hotel. when we left, i forgot some jewelry in the room. we called them for 3 days before they managed to "ask" the cleaners if they found anything. of course nothing was found. i'm not even surprised. i'll never go back"
Petram Resort & Residences ★★★★
"We had a great stay at Petram. The facilities, the private beach, the staff it all matches and exceeded our expectations. It is recommended for families, couples, friends or single anybody will enjoy the many possibilitied Petram has to offer"
Hotel Sipar Plava Laguna ★★★★
"The hotel is wonderful! Breakfast and dinner are variety, the staff is helpful! I recommend it. Best wishes!"
Residence Garden Istra Plava Laguna ★★★★
"1) We booked the hotel, making sure there was an elevator. I have serious health problems. This hotel is very large. We were given a room located dozens of meters from the reception in an annex building. Our room was in the basement, which was NOT served by the elevator. I asked the same day what about the amount to pay if we leave the next morning. I was told that the last 2 nights would not be due but I was also offered to change rooms the next day. 2) The next day, I was told that another room had already been reserved for the remaining 2 nights. I never gave my agreement. She insisted that I take this room which I refused in front of my categorical refusal, she offered me to speak to the manager. I refused since I did not see the reason. Finally she told me the amount due. Sounds like a scam. 3) All-purpose lunch with tasteless "fruit" juices"

"Incredibly a great hotel! Breakfast is improved but otherwise perfectly takes the Garden Suites "
Hotel Umag Plava Laguna ★★★★
"The room was initially infested with mosquitoes. I mean dozens, which was unusual. We spent the first two days disinfecting it, repeatedly. The first day, the room wasn't cleaned. The second day, it was, but not the bathroom. On the third day, it was already 3 PM, and I had to ask for someone to clean it up, despite the "Please make the room" sign that had been hanging since 9 AM. The bathroom flooded twice, with water coming out of the floor drain. We called a plumber, but the next day we were back to square one. We solved the problem by taking very short showers and using towel barriers on the floor. The toilet is too small to fit if you're taller than 120 cm (see photo). No bidet. The balcony overlooked a landfill for all five days (see photo). Dust and cobwebs falling from the ceiling. Strange stains on the phones (see photo), and everything else, which were cleaned on the fourth day by accident. The exhaust from the kitchen vented through the suspended ceiling of our bathroom: it felt like we were staying in a deli. The hotel lobby was crowded with chairs so tightly packed you couldn't even get through, lit by so much neon lighting it looked like a hospital waiting room. But the worst thing was the food in the restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. 4 stars?? The food was worse than a company cafeteria: the seemingly wide selection of food was always 80% chicken, pasta, and potatoes, all cooked poorly. Any meat or fish was overcooked, rubbery, and tough. The scrambled eggs were a hard, dry omelette, broken into pieces. The pancakes looked like coasters. They didn't even know that salt is added to the pasta's cooking water, and that it shouldn't be cooked for 20 minutes... The pizza was raw. The cheeses and cured meats were worse than those at the discount store. The wine... let's draw a veil over it. The pie, reheated eight times, was as hard as wood. The shark was overcooked, like the sole of a shoe. The scorpion fish (or so I thought; there were almost never any labels, you ate blind) was just bones, and since it was overcooked... they wandered freely in the shapeless mass. The fried chicken was completely inedible, like wood. The meatballs bounced (I swear). The freshly made fritters were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The cevapcici, parmigiana, and omelette cooked on the spot that morning were decent. Too little. I've stayed in many other hotels everywhere and always had a good experience, so it's not that I have particularly delicate tastes. This is indecent, light years away from any of my other experiences. Embarrassing."
Camping Stella Maris Mobile Homes ★★★★
"awful: one of the two rooms we booked had no ac, the sink was dirty of toothpaste and not a single person at the reception could speak italian. when i explained the problems we faced the receptionist just replied in broken english “apologizing” and saying they could do much. windows provided 0 noise insulation so sleeping till late night was not possible given the loud neighbors."

Apartments Katoro Plava Laguna
"We arrived late, around 22:00. There was only one person handling check-in so that took around an hour. Finding the apartment at first was hard as the sign had been broken off (nr.127). The apartment itself was disgusting, stinking of mold, hadn't been clean, ant farm at the toilet, and mold on ceilings and walls. I went to the front desk to complain, another 45 min of waiting as there were 3 people infront of me, 2 of them was complaing about the same thing. The guy at the front desk couldnt help. To make a long story short, I met 6 couples that along with us checked out the morning after and went to another place. I saw pictures from some of them and they were worse than mine. We were offered a "better"room but I did not accept as this is a party place, crazy noise until the morning. Would have been fine if I was travelling for party but not with 3 kids. This is pretty much the worst place I have ever stayed in."
Villa Badi
"The room is a little tattered but the service was good. Ikea-like furniture, felt more like a college dorm than a hotel room. Broken easy chair, drawer underneath sink also faulty. Only place in 8+ hotels I stayed at in Croatia that offered tea in the room, not just coffee, a rarity. No elevator so up the stairs with heavy luggage to third floor. My room had a view of the beach. Minuscule balcony but nice view of olive orchards and sunset over the Adriatic Sea. Off-season so pool wasn’t open. A good 8-10 minute walk to the beach where there is a walkway. Definitely not much to see or do once here but a good place to relax from a long day of biking. Makes for a quiet place being so far from anything. A lot of biking tours seem to stop here so they are used to dealing with us hungry bikers. Breakfast was average but sufficient. Nice to be able to sit near large glass doors with a view."
Skiper Golf Resort
Istrian Villas Plava Laguna
"We are staying at the Istrian villa for the second time. We had an excellent experience last year. Unfortunately we were disappointed arriving today as we were given a smaller villa (yet in the same category) located in front of the house keeping room. It is very loud and smoky, which is really a pity for a village that is supposed to offer a premium experience. We have requested weeks ago to reserve the same villa than last year, but we were informed at the reception today that they do not take into consideration such requests. Poor customer experience, especially for returning customers."
Apartments and Rooms Degra
"Extremely pleasant ambience. Clean, tidy, harmonious interior. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Unobtrusive but with a lot of useful information. The location is excellent, quiet and surrounded by lot of green, far enough from the crowd and noise, and close enough to all interesting contents . Everything you need within a few minutes of walking or driving. Excellent value for money"
Camping Park Umag Mobile Homes
"My stay in 2025 was terrible. The camper pitch was bad—blocked by a tree and lamp, so I couldn’t park. I asked reception for help, but they gave me three worse pitches. Stayed on the original one disputing the fact that was close to a noisy road, loud all day and night. No hot water in our facility area the whole time. When I told it to reception staff, they said go to another place for hot water. Imagine carrying dishes and shower things far away! Staff were rude and ignored me. My son got hurt on the football field. A ball hit his head, and his eye was bloody. It was evening, so we went to a hospital near hospital in Izola (Slovenia not Croatia – you will need to pay if the accident happened in Croatia). We stayed there all night and paid €900. I talked to the manager, Thomas, to at least get a refund for that day since we spend it in the hospital. He didn’t care and told me to find the boy who kicked the ball. He also didn’t care about no hot water or noisy road. He smiled and said write a bad review. Staff were stressed and no help. This place is expensive, noisy, and not safe. I tell everyone: don’t go! Even if free, I won’t go back. Lucky we had other places to stay on our trip. I don’t recommend Camping Park Umag at all!"
Villa Irena
"We had a great week with three children in this beautiful house - beautiful rooms, everything was new and furnished to a high standard, everything you need in terms of accessories, dishes and appliances, the landlords are very nice. The pool was wonderful"
Karmen
"The apartment is super the surrounding area is very beautiful."
Garden Suites Umag Plava Laguna
"We do not recommend this hotel. We stayed at Garden suits - first impression was terribe. The room was not cleaned. We had ants everywhere, the floors were dirty and the terrace/outside was dirty. We went to reception who sent room service to take care of the ants. We did not get any apology, they said that they have this problem in other rooms too. The garden suit absolutly doesen't deserve 4.5 stars - it doesent have hair dryer, doesent have coffee maker and its obvious they dont tidy it properly. We also had problems with wellness beacuse in the booking app there is no explenation you have to make appointment in advance to go to spa - beacuse we didnt know that they didnt let us inside. Staff in wellness gave us no explanation or apology. Wellness was included in price and we had to pay full price even though we didnt have a chance to use it. The food is the brightest point of our stay, beacuse its really lots of options and its really delicious!!"
