This little casita is located in the beautiful town of Uvalde Texas. Lots of eats near by and unique downtown shops.
So. I’m gonna be really honest here.. We bought our home with this little casita in the back yard in July of 2021. We did a fixer upper on the inside of the main house where we currently live. We have done some work in the backyard but it’s definitely not finished and still rough around the edges. We gave the casita a fresh coat of paint inside and replaced the bathroom floor. We do not have television. We DO have WiFi. We have many dreams for both the backyard and casita but at this point do not have the funds to continue.. we will update as we can!
We have a friendly golden retriever (Paz) that will probably be around during your stay but she sleeps inside our house at night. You will also see our kitty (Zeus) during your stay as well. You will have access to a fire pit and a bbq wood grill.
The casita is clean and neat but nothing fancy. The “kitchen” has a two burner stove, a mini fridge and a sink. A queen sized bed and a small bathroom. You can park in our driveway and enter the casita through the gate into the back yard.
My husband is self employed at ARP automotive and I am a stay at home mom to our baby girl.. We will keep to ourselves as much as possible.. Beautiful Log Cabin with 2 bedrooms and a jack and Jill bathroom. Has newly renovated kitchen with granite countertops. Pictures don’t do it justice. Just off River Road at the Frio River but secluded enough that you don’t feel that people are on top of you. Has fire pit and barbecue pit for your enjoyment. Tube on the Frio or sit on the porch and watch the deer. Beautiful setting.

We have many great tubing companies around that can help you get access to the river and enjoy time with your family. For stargazing, turn the patio lights down, set your pool raft afloat and drift under the Texas Hill Country sky.

The backyards has 3 hammocks, a BBQ pit, two picnic tables, a round fire pit, cornhole, and horse shoe games. Valley View offers plenty of seating with a large bar, breakfast/game table and a rustic leather-fringe dining table below an antique custom canoe light. The kitchen is stocked with the the essentials needed for your stay and has a large island for meal prepping and storage. Just off the kitchen you will find a spacious laundry room with a washer and dryer.
There are 2 large private bedrooms, one on each end of the house. Each bedroom has (1) queen bed and (1) double/double bunk bed (total of 3 beds per room) with a total of 6 beds for 12 guests. Each room has a full bathroom en-suite with granite counter tops and a glass, walk-in tile shower. You will have plenty of room to store your luggage and personal belongings in the large closets- (1) located in each room.
After a long day on the river, you can unwind by the iron fire pit. Enjoy star gazing and roasting s’mores, or cook over the open flame. In the grill area you will find several options for multiple styles of cooking. There is a regular charcoal grill, a kettle style ceramic charcoal grill and a smoker for slow cooking.
Located near the 2nd Frio river crossing, Valley View is in an excellent, central location off of River Road. Just minutes from the river, there are multiple access points for tubing and water fun. There are several stores and restaurants within a few miles of the house as well as House Pasture Cattle Company and Frio Valley Ranch Golf Course. Garner State Park is just 10 miles away!
