"These are basic, bare, small rooms with the amenities of a bar of soap and liquid shower soap, suitable for a one-night stop. I was concerned about the noise of an extended family gathering in the courtyard outside our room, but the door sealed well, so no problem. The owners were kind enough to lend an electric kettle, but can be quite strict. You absolutely must not show up before 4 p.m., which we didn't discover until after we booked and prepaid. We would have stayed elsewhere if we knew. The neighbourhood is quite suburban and rather dreary for walking to town. If you have a car, I recommend parking halfway, at the cemetery, and then walking along pleasant lanes into the old city."

"I don't understand this hotel's rating. First, when we arrived we were told our room was not ready. No apology, just a statement. We had to wait. Second, the breakfast was poor and the coffee terrible. Finally, it was very noisy at night with people slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallway."

"A totally charming experience. The rooms were spacious and decorated with traditional French country furniture. Intriguing art through the place. An excellent breakfast. And of course, delightful hosts. Uzes is definitely worth visiting, and the Hostellerie Provencale is centrally located and very quiet."

"Lovely hotel with very friendly owners. Beautiful pool area, with lots of sun chairs and shade. Excellent secure parking. Terrace with spectacular views at the back to have breakfast. Breakfast very good. 20 minutes walk into Uzes, easy walk, but if you take car, 2 minutes drive to car park, then 5 minute walk. Uzes is a lovely town, loads of good restaurants and bars ."
