"The hotel does not have a lift, which may be inconvenient for guests travelling with heavy luggage or those who prefer easier accessibility. It is something worth noting, especially if your room is located on the upper floors. The breakfast selection was also quite limited, with only a small variety of options available. While it was sufficient for a quick meal, it may not meet the expectations of guests looking for a more extensive breakfast spread. In terms of location, the hotel is more suitable for travellers who are self-driving, as it is easier to access by car. Those relying on public transport may find it less convenient. Overall, the stay was manageable, but there are a few aspects that could be improved to enhance guest comfort and convenience."

"The room was a decent size and clean, but the bathroom shower room was too small. The surrounding area was relatively quiet, about a 10-minute walk from Svolwell, and there was a bonfire at night."

"I booked a double room and messaged the hotel beforehand to ask about rooms where the toilet is inside the shower. They said they'd make a note, so I specifically requested a room where the toilet was *outside* the shower. When I arrived, it felt like opening a mystery box because they gave us a room where the toilet was *inside* the shower! The bathroom isn't big, so showering in such a small space was quite cramped. All I can say is, it was quite something! Aside from that, in terms of value for money, the location is excellent; there's a Tesla charging station right across the street. Although the room is small, it has everything you need and is incredibly clean. The breakfast provided was fantastic, I loved it so much I probably had 4 cups of coffee. Also, for those who want to cook for themselves, the hotel has a communal kitchen, which saved us money on eating out and allowed us to have a lovely dinner."

"Check in was smooth but the access code was sent very close to check in time, creating some anxiety. The room was clean. The only one with a balcony was very nice. Amenities were scant, only 2 bath towers and no other tower. The small fridge is useful, as is the tea kettle. The furniture arrangement was sensible  making good use of the small space. Overall good experience."

"Service: The front desk service was terrible! On the first day of check-in, I booked a taxi for an early morning flight on the third day with the front desk. However, when I went down on the third morning, there was a different person at the front desk who said they couldn't find any record of my booking. In the end, to catch my flight, I had to drag my luggage several kilometers through heavy snow to catch a bus."

"I stayed at Svinøya Rorbuer recently, and honestly, it was such a beautiful experience. Our cabin had the perfect view for catching the northern lights — we literally just looked out of the window and there they were, dancing above us. Pure magic. The cabin itself was spotless and felt really cosy. One of the heaters wasn’t working at first, but the team came over and sorted it immediately, which I really appreciated. Fast, friendly service makes all the difference, especially in the cold! Overall, a lovely stay. I’d happily go back in a heartbeat."

"It was our first visit in Norway. We checked few thing to try in Norway, one of them is stay in Rorbuer which we booked this Nyvågar Rorbuhotell. We liked a lot this Rorbuer which is great location especially I booked a sea view rorbuer. The breakfast was nice with quality food provided."

"Fantastic! It's clean, well-equipped, and the decor is so cozy. The kitchen is great, and the bathroom is huge. There's even a fireplace! It's about a 30-minute drive from Svolvaer and has free parking right outside. Highly recommend!"

"Absolutely loved this hotel! The surroundings are incredibly photogenic, and the aurora often appears right on the mountain top across from the hotel. I even asked the front desk for aurora viewing recommendations, and they suggested a small church hill and by the pier. But honestly, you can just watch it from right outside the hotel. Otherwise, you'd have to head towards the city outskirts, and the two places they recommended weren't great, especially the small church – it was too cluttered with trees and rooftops. Plus, the hotel's lobby offers free 24-hour hot water, tea, and coffee, which is a huge bonus! I'm not sure if my room got an upgrade, but it felt much larger than I expected. The hotel has two floors, and the only downside is no elevator. So, it's best to pack your luggage strategically. If you're on the second floor, just take a few essentials up, and you can store your suitcase at the front desk. Of course, when checking in, if you're on the second floor, a staff member will help you with your bags, but you'll have to carry them down yourself when checking out. The hotel is about 600 meters from the pier and several large supermarkets, making shopping and getting around convenient. The parking lot is also spacious. All in all, fantastic value for money!
