There is insanely little light in the room and the walls are covered with burgundy wallpaper, which creates a rather oppressive feeling, especially in rainy weather or at night. The location is ideal, in a quiet place, and at the same time very close to the center"

"Very dirty. Shabby, dirty walls. Dirty mattress, all in stains, bed linen worse than in trains, like grandma's version, and the sheet is smaller than the mattress itself. The TV is ancient, with a cathode ray tube, did not work, had to call the security guard, who eventually said that the batteries were dead and there were no spare ones. There is no refrigerator in the room. Dust is everywhere. The bathroom is a separate story, as the worst communal apartment in St. Petersburg. Yellow toilet, hair in the bathtub and sink, the curtain is all rusty, but there is a plus in the form of hot water. There is shampoo, soap, gel, but it is given out once upon check-in. Breakfast: 4 options to choose from, but there is nothing to choose from. The food is cold, not tasty, but costs like in large cities of Russia. The waitress met us in a down jacket, how was it for us to sit, freeze and eat cold food ...?! The staff in the restaurant is a minus, the reception is a minus, the security guard has his own humor, but is quite a positive character. The location is not bad, that's the only thing that pleased me."

"I stayed for one night at the end of November. Pros: 1. Right in the city center, all the sights are nearby. Shops are also nearby. 2. Friendly staff. 3. The entrance area is separated by a door, which significantly improves soundproofing. You can’t hear people walking in the hallway. 4. Large refrigerator in the room. 5. The room temperature is regulated depending on the time of day - warm during the day, cooler at night. It’s not stuffy to sleep. Cons: 1. The bathroom is quite cold. 2. Rusty water from the toilet upon arrival. The hot water is also rusty. I’ve never seen such a thick brown color. I didn’t try flushing it, but I didn’t feel like taking a shower. 3. Breakfast is not bad for an additional fee, but it’s served by a different organization, and the cafe is cool and uncomfortable. I didn’t want to dine there. 4. The bedside lamps have no switches; you just have to plug them into the outlet, which is difficult when you’re half asleep. The hotel is quite old, built in 1958, but there are no alternatives in the city, only rented apartments."
