Minos Imperial Luxury Beach Resort & Spa Milatos ★★★★★
"Beautiful hotel in a excellent location !!! We book a beach front island suite with jacuzzi! The Seaview was very beautiful to the ocean and the room was very clean. The a la carte restaurants dishes were very tasty. The staff members were very kind to us. We stayed for a whole week and found it ro be excellent value for money. Also, the hotel offers a variety of clean swimming pools, with some designated as adults-only, providing quieter and more relaxing atmosphere!"
Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort ★★★★★
"I am going to write an honest review and be objective and non-bias as possible. Don't believe all the good reviews you read on here because many of them are bias, especially the good ones and how good the masseuse was (probably written by the masseuses themselves in order to increase the bookings for a massage in the spa). The tennis center right by the hotel is owned by Germans who work there so they are also probably the ones who keep adding good reviews about the hotel. Always look and pay extra attention to negative reviews. First, Crete is way, way, overrated. From my experience the inhabitants of the island don't understand English well enough, and they are not service-oriented. All the beaches and most of the hotels are very mediocre. My previous vacation in Antalya, Turkey, was much better . Relative to other hotels in Crete, Kalimera Kriti hotel has many advantages and it is one of the better hotels you are going to find in Crete, because it is a small, isolated hotel on a very large area, with a nice private beach, and nice view of the mountains. There is also a very big tennis center, with many clay courts that are well maintained, and some artificial grass courts. They put me in Room H-109 the first few nights, but it was very noisy. The rooms in general are badly insulated in terms of acoustics. I could hardly sleep at night and there are also no blackout curtains. The white coating in the bathtub itself was peeling off and produced sharp scrapes , so I asked for a room change. It took them 2 nights to change me to another room. They transferred me to room M-34 which has no Wi-Fi reception, and even though I complained that there is no Wi-Fi at all in my room they never fixed it. I wasn't trying to be a "KAREN" but there were some serious issues with the rooms, but they refused to let me speak with the manager, so good luck with that… The food was generally good- especially the breads, the baked-on-the-spot individual pizzas, and the desserts. I suspect that some of the fish and seafood were previously frozen and not fresh, because the octopus was too salty and so were the striped red mullets. Some of the shrimps may had been frozen shrimps that come from Southeast Asia (China/Vietnam) and not from the Mediterranean. I was there 5 nights, and unfortunately, they had carvery roast beef on only 1 night. I didn't eat the soups, even though I love soups, because they seemed to be made from recycled meat and/or vegetables from last night's dinner. The milk in breakfast was the ULTRA-pasteurized processed kind that has a shelf life of like 4 months so I didn't touch it even though I love a glass or two of fresh milk in the morning. Almost all the guests in the hotel were Germans, which is plus, because Germans are generally polite and quiet. They rely on that their German guests recommend to other Germans about the hotel, so if you are not German, the hotel staff may treat you as a second-class (Grade B) guest, so beware o"
Grecotel Meli Palace ★★★★
"Very decent hotel for all inclusive experience. Pros: - every staff member was super friendly and attentive - food is amazing, tastes fresh, variety of choices for everyone - drinks in all bars are very good, lots of options to choose from - bed was very comfortable - cleaning team does great job - room and all the common areas were very tidy every single day Cons: - rooms are dated, they are very clean, but you can see history of other visitors and time effect on its walls and surroundings In general, very good hotel if you want to rest. Things to bear in mind: - closest village is 25 mins walk (road with no sidewalks); - Visitors are ‘booking’ sunbeds, even tho hotel policy states that sunbed left unattended for 30 mins can be ‘cleared’ by staff from somebodys belongings, did not see this happen proactively. - water shoes are highly recommended"
Bella Vista Appartments Sissi ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Apartments. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean, and each one has a lovely terrace with a stunning view of the Cretan Sea. The hotel itself is beautiful, filled with colorful flowers, making you feel like you’re staying in a charming little traditional village. What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind, always greeting you with a smile and taking the time to chat, which creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Crete. Thank you to the entire team for making my holiday so enjoyable!"
Castello Village Resort ★★★★
"Lovely scenery, a local shop, Paul Wright by outside the front door"
Enorme Santanna Island ★★★★
"Fantastic hotel and facilities. Totally relaxing break. Went to all restaurants, even main buffet restaurant was high quality standards and best I’ve experienced on all inclusive. Staff efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend and say you get what you pay for."
Porto Sisi Hotel Apartments ★★★★
"Fabulous apartments overlooking the sea. Spotlessly clean with your own small kitchen and lounge area with Netflix etc. Lovely private balcony and we had a beautiful sea view. Fabulous pool area too with the sea one side and pool the other. These are calm, quiet apartments which was perfect for us as a couple and the location is second to none. Minutes walk to shops, restaurants, car hire. Sissi itself is relaxed and quaint. Don’t miss a swim in the harbour. Beautiful. The team at Porto Sissi also spoilt me on my birthday with beautiful flowers. I was very touched. Thank you so much Anthi and team, we will be back!"

Milatos Village Cretan Agrotourism Hotel
"This hotel is so much more than just a lovely and peaceful place to stay at and explore the beauty of Crete. The owners and their staff are so welcoming, warm and caring, this truly makes the difference. I cannot recommend staying there enough. The rooms are beautifully and individually designed, the cleanliness is superb and the beds are very comfy. I have enjoyed the food that Kat prepares herself very much. If you are looking for a delicious fusion of Greek and French food, look no further. I have travelled solo and was always looking forward coming "home" after a day of exploring the North and East Crete. I felt so well taken care of. Alice is running a great pool bar and I recommend trying her creation "The Mad". The evenings with her and the other guests at the bar have been just wonderful. Alice and Kat had plenty of recommendations for me to visit in the area and further more are offering tours themselves. I highly recommend visiting the wonderful shepherd family at the Lasithi plateau with Kat. This has been a highlight of my stay in Crete. I recommend renting a car to be able to fully discover all the gems the region has to offer. From my point of view this hotel is a true gem and one of a kind. I can't wait for my next stay there. Kat and Alice, thank you so much!"
Vasia Sea Retreat
"Our first visit to Crete, for the Vasia itself the staff are lovely, so happy & friendly! The hotel is clean and met our needs for a relaxing week long holiday. The room was spacious with plenty of storage for 2 people. There was ample sun beds around all 3 pools every day, the sound and view of the sea was a delight! Breakfast was a buffet with à la carte drinks service and a small selection of food such as poached eggs or omelette. The gardens are maintained daily, with beautiful flowers and greenery. We were on a bed & breakfast basis, popping to the local shop for some lunch basics & drinks which were stored in our small room fridge, we are so pleased we did this and then walked out into the village for our evening meals as there is so much choice offering traditional Greek family tavernas (you must make the effort to visit Neromilos, it was the star of the show & the best experience of our week!) there was also lovely spots near the sea to eat or drink & enjoy the evenings sunset which was spectacular every night. We would recommend Sissi, and Vasia Sea Retreat for anyone looking for a relaxing quiet peaceful break in Greece!"

Castello Boutique Resort & Spa - Adults Only
"If I could give more than five stars, I genuinely would. From the moment we arrived at Castello Boutique Resort & Spa, we felt something that is becoming increasingly rare on holiday – complete relaxation. Within minutes, the stresses of everyday life had disappeared, replaced by an overwhelming feeling that we were exactly where we needed to be. The hotel doesn’t just provide accommodation; it creates an atmosphere where you can truly switch off and simply enjoy every moment. The entire team deserves enormous credit. Every single member of staff greeted us with genuine warmth, smiles and enthusiasm throughout our stay. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and every interaction felt sincere rather than rehearsed. Two people, however, deserve a special mention. Epthimios was simply outstanding. His knowledge of wine was exceptional, and every evening he guided us towards the perfect bottle to accompany our meal. His recommendations never missed the mark and genuinely elevated each dining experience. Beyond that, he was incredibly friendly, engaging and somehow always seemed to know exactly how to make every guest feel special. As fellow football fans, our nightly conversations became something we genuinely looked forward to! Jennifer was equally wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and always happy to help with anything we needed, she represents everything great about Greek hospitality. One moment perfectly summed up the attitude of the staff. I asked whether they could make an iced coffee, barista style. They admitted they hadn’t made one before, but rather than simply saying no, they embraced the challenge with smiles and enthusiasm. The result was fantastic, and it perfectly demonstrated the team’s willingness to go above and beyond to make guests happy. It’s that attitude that separates good hotels from exceptional ones. The housekeeping team also deserve huge praise. Our room was immaculate every single day, maintained to an exceptionally high standard, allowing us to return each afternoon to a space that felt fresh, comfortable and inviting. The food throughout our stay was absolutely exceptional. The evening à la carte menu was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish arrived looking like a piece of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Each evening became an experience rather than simply dinner, and it was consistently one of the highlights of our day. Breakfast catered for absolutely everyone. Whether you wanted fresh fruit and cereals, continental options, a full English breakfast or freshly prepared dishes from the à la carte menu, everything was plentiful, fresh and of excellent quality. It was the perfect start to every day. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, peaceful and stylish without ever feeling pretentious. It strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, allowing you to completely unwind. We also fell in love with Sissi. What a beautiful village. It offers everything "
Alexandros Hotel
"Our second stay at the amazing Alexandros Hotel with friends. From arrival to the end of our stay Maria, Paul & family really go out of their way to make your holiday a lovely experience whilst with them. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand if you need anything with a smile which goes a long way 😊. Rooms are spotlessly clean thanks to the cleaners and the pool is well maintained and an area set aside with seats if you want any snack food during the day. On the subject of food whether snacks during the day or mamas cooking in the evenings everything is superb and you always get a free dessert when having evening meal. The hotel is at the end of Sissi but just a short stroll into the heart of the village so in a nice spot. This hotel maybe a 3 star hotel but you get a 5 star welcome and they really know how to look after you. I'm sure we will be back. Jon & Jo"
Angela Suites Boutique Hotel
"Just back from another fantastic stay at the Angela. No words can explain how lovely the staff are they treat you like family! Our fourth visit and will we back ABSOLUTELY. The new hotels in Sissi look fantastic however I bet the personal touch will be missing so the Angela is stuck with us . Missing you all already. Until next year "
Sisi Breeze Hotel
"Just retuned from two week stay. Family run hotel. Sophia and Giannis go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay.Rooms are spotless, cleaned every day, fresh towels and bedding. Kettle cups plates and cutlery supplied in room should you need them. Although Hotel has a bar and meals available cooked by Sophia herself an excellent cook. Drinks served by the ever helpful smiling Giannis. If your looking to have the holiday in Sissi you dreamed of Sissi Breeze is the hotel to stay in."
Angela Studios Apartments
"Terrific apartments really clean and the kitchen is well equipped if you feel the need to cook. Staff are warm and very welcoming. We went b&b and there was a wide variety to eat and of good quality. The pool area was great as well. We can't wait to get back. "
Maritimo Beach Hotel
"I have been to Crete many times but never Sissi, after the demise in quality of all inclusive holidays my family and I decided to try this hotel and the half board package. This hotel was everything we hoped it would be. We booked a superior room and do not think wr got this but it was big enough for what we needed it for. The beds were very comfortable, AC was strong and there was plenty of luggage space. Only negative was the shower which would alternate between very hot and icy cold and every temp in between, however a small negative. The food at breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and lots being freshly made throughout. The pancakes were fantastic, as was the constant coffee refills from the staff. The staff in the restaurant at both meal times were amazing, so friendly and nice, a breath of fresh air after other hotels we have visited. The food in the evening was varied, tasty and always hot. Really very good. A tip is to get the outside eating area as the main room gets very hot. Athena at the pool bar was always friendly, was lovely to my family and great for advice on the local area and travel. Fresh pool towels every day is a nice touch too. My only gripe and it is a small one is no room is provided to shower. you check out at 11 and the only place to shower for late departures is the public bathroom by the smaller pool. The small pool area was perfect for us, only about 30 sun loungers and not too hectic, the main pool area seemed a bit crammed in like sardines. I would definitely visit here again. The building work at nearby hotels does not cause any issue and this is a very peaceful place to visit"
