"This hotel is nowhere near a 4-star hotel, 3 at the most. The decor was something out of the 1980s! Heavy, dark curtains, dark carpets, old, low beds that were nowhere near up to standard. The neighbors could hear everything that happened in our room. The street noise was incredibly loud. The TV was ancient and tiny, the refrigerator was empty and didn't even contain a single bottle of water. The reception staff were unable to give us three small bottles of sparkling wine. At breakfast, the eggs were horribly tasteless, we should have made the crepes and omelets ourselves, the filter coffee was clear, the coffee machine only made tiny cups, and the staff didn't greet us at breakfast or ask if we needed anything. The table wasn't cleared until we had finished eating, and the selection was very limited. The stairs for wheelchair users were far too steep. In the evening, when we went out for dinner, we were offered a table in a strange room reminiscent of an old country inn. The staff didn't understand a word of German. For this price, we had expected a nice, modern dining room! Since we travel a lot and know exactly what 4-star hotels should be like, this ancient city hotel, which hadn't been renovated in years, was very disappointing. On the positive side, we did notice the freshly squeezed juices, the homemade jams, the fresh bread rolls, the pleasant breakfast room, and the polite ladies at reception."

"First, the positives: Very good location, the breakfast is very good. The room: On my first stay, the room was excellent. The second time, although also "superior," supposedly the same category and correspondingly expensive, it was terrible: The bathroom is freezing cold, has a huge window (glass up to the knee), and the toilet is right next to it. Even the external blinds can't completely conceal the room, making it uncomfortable. Furthermore, there is no refrigerator (which I expected for this price), but there was one on the first stay. The friendliness of the staff varies. I find it extremely strange that you have to pay the full price upon check-in, but don't receive a receipt. The bill is only given upon check-out. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the accommodation."
