"The hotel is located in the Village of Wemeldinge just below the dike. In the distance you can see two traditional windmills and if you walk to the top of the dike there is a pathway which leads to a small sandy beach and provides a beautiful view of the harbour and the pleasure boats tied up there. The hotel itself has a spacious airy reception area and the lady at the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Check in went smoothly. The entrance to the rooms is either through the restaurant or a security door on the side of the building. The stairs leading up to the rooms are steep but manageable. My room was a single but there are larger rooms available. My room was very bright and airy with a large window, part of which opened and it had a view of the dike . There is a coffee maker, kettle and complimentary tea and coffee along with 2 bottles of water. The room has a mini fridge also and a small safe. There is also a clothes rack a tv and radio. The bed is very comfortable and a shelf provides a place for phone and glasses etc. The bathroom is small but has convenient shelving and a shower with a great shower head. The restaurant is spacious with both old world and modern decor. The foodis world class . I had the sword fish which was delicious. The menu is extensive and would satisfy any palate. The service is excellent and prompt. The restaurant is very popular and there is also an outdoor patio. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with fresh breads, croissants, rolls, eggs, sliced meats cereals, fresh fruit and of course excellent coffee and a selection of tea. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants excellent accommodation, great food and fantastic friendly service."
