"The most serene, peaceful and relaxing experience, after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. We recently had 2 nights here and will be back in Winter to experience the beauty in a different season. Like Bali, the staff and the hospitality they offer, the care they take with everything is incredible."

"It was a truly wonderful inn full of hospitality. Before making the reservation, I was curious about the view of the room, so I inquired about it.Mr. Tanaka was very kind and thorough in explaining the details of each room. When we arrived at the inn, he even greeted us casually when we had dinner. He provided wonderful and smart hospitality even on site. I gave it to you. In addition, even though we had arranged for the cheapest class of rooms, they accommodated our request and provided us with a luxurious and lovely semi-private room for meals, something that my husband, who I had previously told him would not be able to do, was surprised! We were both surprised and happy. It was more relaxing than I expected, with a wonderful bamboo grove, authentic furniture, and live jazz music. Also, we didn't have a car, but the next day we were at a ryokan that didn't have a shuttle even though it was nearby, so when we told them that, they took our luggage to our accommodation and arranged for us to use the shuttle to Sendai a day later. I was filled with a warm feeling of gratitude and gratitude for responding so comfortably to my rather brazen request. Also, next time I will upload the room a little more!"

"The starry sky at night is superb, there are so many, you can clearly see every star twinkling. The staff is very polite and attentive, scoring 1200 points Unexpected thing, including breakfast and dinner is your choice I am better than the Café de Coral breakfast picture. They all try their best to look the same There is an independent barbecue grill, clothes rack, heater and fresh air blower The disadvantage is the location, not in the city center But I can’t, it’s like this when you kiss nature Another drawback is that the toilet and bathroom are not inside the tent. It takes more than ten steps to walk to customerService Each tent has its own private bathroom It is very convenient to get to Fujin Hot Spring"

"The hotel has no elevator. It is very inconvenient to get luggage up and down during the ski season. They say the elevator is under repair, but in fact they are just rebuilding it. There was basically no explanation for children when they checked in, and they were charged the same fee as adults. It was very unreasonable. The butler of Ctrip helped to deal with the problem very patiently, but I felt that the hotel was perfunctory in response. It was disappointing. I will not choose to stay in this hotel in the future. But thank the butler of Ctrip for their patient coordination again."

Daikon-No-Hana ★★★★
"Located in the Miyagi Prefecture, this local onzen is home to the most relaxing experience with the unique private outdoor Onsen and in-door Onzen. Especially in winter, the Onzen is really charming and picturesque. The convenient way is to use hotel taxi from Shiroshizao station (2.30 hours from Ueno). Staffs are attentive. Breakfast and dinner are in private area. Truly great experience, worth for Instagram photos and your retreat."

Chikusenso Onsen ★★★★★
"I stayed at Chikusenso, which I had been interested in for a while because it was a luxury inn in Togatta Onsen. The physical aspects of the inn, its surroundings, the atmosphere and facilities of the rooms are excellent, and most of the staff provide courteous and reliable service. In the evening, there is a mini-concert in the lounge before dinner, so you can enjoy a luxurious and extraordinary experience. seemed like the perfect place to stay. The accommodation fees are also surprisingly high for an inn deep in the mountains of Zao. Although it is the cheapest room, it has a spacious space of 43 square meters. It's a shame that the bath isn't a hot spring, but it's a pleasant experience. There is also free beer and soft drinks in the fridge. A glass of wine will be provided at the mini-concert. I feel like I've reached my limit. Now weekdays @ 46,000 yen. A large suite with a hot spring will cost over 80,000 yen. Luxury accommodation class in Hakone and Atami. However, unfortunately dinner was ✖. A spiny lobster salad that even an amateur could make, a main course of beef steak that wasn't served piping hot, and a Japanese female staff member who didn't give any explanations. (Although the Nepali staff always explain carefully) Late night snack is a curve ball called "bread". However, even if chocolate chip bread is dessert-like and okay, the other is a very ordinary croissant. With a full stomach, I didn't even feel like eating a croissant. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the accommodation was not worth the price. In addition, the breakfast was delicious as usual, so I felt that this was a ``very disappointing'' accommodation."

"My wife and I stayed in the villa for two nights. Overall, the atmosphere was great and we were able to experience something out of the ordinary. The villa's open-air bath, filled with natural hot spring water, is charmingly carved out of a large rock. It was spacious enough to stretch out and enjoy a luxurious stay. The washing area was separated by a door, making it easy to stay warm, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness, even in the cold season. And above all, since our room had its own open-air bath, being able to use it whenever I wanted felt incredibly luxurious. For dinner, we chose the yakiniku plan, which included a Zao beef platter, which we enjoyed grilling over charcoal to perfection. The breakfast menu was also very varied and satisfying. I ended up overeating. This is definitely the perfect inn for an extraordinary experience. Thank you for the wonderful memories."

"It's been a while since I last visited Togatta Onsen. It was a relaxing trip for four adults. Many of the hotel staff are elderly, and the hotel has a spacious, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the recently renovated West Wing. The room was spacious, a twin room, but the bed was very large, with a Japanese-style space and sofa, making it very comfortable. There were two large baths, offering different views. As a special perk for the renovation, we were able to use the private hinoki and forest baths for free, making for a very pleasant hot spring trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique flavors of Zao, both dinner and breakfast. We were offered complimentary sparkling wine from 7:30 to 10:00 in the evening, which was delicious. Before breakfast, we were served delicious Japanese tea, which impressed us with the attentive hospitality. There were many kappa-themed ornaments, which were fun to look at. The hotel is located on a slightly elevated area, offering beautiful views of the Zao mountain range."

"The service attitude of the staff is very good. Although their English proficiency is not high, they are still willing to communicate through mobile phone translation and try their best to provide assistance. I checked in at the beginning of December 2024. Due to the onset of winter, the temperature dropped and snow began to fall. I was not sure whether some attractions were open, such as Zao Juhyo, Zao Ski Resort, and Central Ropeway Station. The staff took the trouble to go online and call for inquiries. Let us make good use of our sightseeing time."

"Although the reception staff at Zao no Mori Club didn't understand much English, they were sincere and polite and it wasn't difficult to communicate with them. The hotel is located in the mountains with a very quiet and beautiful environment. However, after taking a bus from Sendai Station to Togatta Onsen Station, there were no taxis in the town because it was a small town and it was Saturday. Later, a Japanese man with a ram led the way. He led a group of 8 of us and pushed the luggage boxes across the mountain and walked for about 45 minutes to get to the hotel. If the hotel could rearrange a toll car to pick us up from Sendai Station, we would definitely be happy to visit again."

Sansatei ★★★
"We stayed at Sansatei for 3 nights in a standard Japanese-style room. I had booked an Upper room (floors go up to 6) so I wasn’t impressed that my room type was switched without asking me first - however it turned out that we loved our 3rd floor room. Rooms are very basic with little to no amenities in the room. However the view is astounding - there’s a seating area with large window overlooking the Matsu river and the mountains. Rooms had real tatami mats and shoji screens. We loved the thick cotton ukatas with a kokeshi design. There is no central A/C or heat at this hotel so when the weather was cold, so were the hallways outside our room, and our seating area by the window. However the heating unit in the room was very efficient so we weren’t cold. Bedding was a thin futon on top of a foam layer and a beanbag-style pillow that took some getting used to. The primary reason for the 3* (Average) review is that this hotel is very much in need of investment. The hallway carpets are worn out, the windows are all single-paned and let in cold air, and the onsen windows were all covered in clear plastic, so there was no nice view that you expect in an onsen. The onsen has a women’s side and a men’s side. The women’s side has tons of bathing stations, a very large rectangular indoor pool, smaller round indoor pool, and an outdoor pool. Normally I love the outdoor onsen, but this one was not well cared for and the only view was of construction materials. There are Pola body soap, shampoo and conditioner and several stations with different brands of hairdryers. The onsen itself (ignoring the view) was very nice. Despite the aging condition of the hotel, we very much enjoyed ourselves here. The location, right in the charming little town of Togatta Onsen, and right on the Matsu River, is amazing. It was also one of the few ryokans in the immediate area which allowed us to book a no-meals option."
