Neo Kazan Palace by Tasigo Hotel

Neo Kazan Palace by Tasigo Hotel

📍 Kalinina Street, 3 V, Kazan
★★★★ 8.6 (25 reviews)

"Check-in and communication issues at Tasigo Neo Kazan. We booked a room at Tasigo Neo Kazan for December 12, 2025. My family and I were traveling from out of town for an event. Upon arrival, we were denied check-in: an employee demanded the child's original birth certificate, despite having copies of the documents, data from Gosuslugi, and entries about the children in the parents' passports. The incompetent staff cited Decree No. 1853, which allegedly stipulates that hotel accommodations are only available with original documents (including children's documents). Article 6.1 of the Russian Federation Law "On Personal Data" No. 152-FZ expressly permits identity verification using an electronic document signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature, such as a birth certificate from the Gosuslugi portal. I repeatedly tried to explain to the hotel staff that I was presenting documents that are legally binding in the Russian Federation, but they refused to listen. Consequently, after a lengthy wait for a resolution to my situation and a negative decision, my family and I were forced to search for another hotel NIGHT and pay exorbitant prices. My demand for an immediate refund was also refused. Upon our return, we filed a complaint with management; their response (missing the 10-business-day deadline) was a claim that the staff's actions were justified. No offers, compensation, or even the simplest apologies—NOTHING. While communicating with the hotel manager on Telegram, I understand that no one intends to resolve this issue, leading me to conclude that their approach and attitude toward guests is appalling. It also suggests that management and staff have absolutely no regard for their reputation. The 4.1 rating is no accident. A hotel SIMPLY CANNOT claim to be a Premium hotel. Choose another hotel."

"Overall, we loved the hotel! It's modern and clean, the breakfasts are excellent, and the location is convenient. We were missing a corkscrew in the room, but the restaurant was quick to help. It wasn't raining while we were there, otherwise it would have been a hassle to hang wet clothes in the closet. It would have been nice to have an open, floor-standing hanger in the room. The surprise from the hotel for my husband's birthday was a delight! Thanks for the stay!"

"First, the positives, of which there are many. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant. What really wins me over is the cleanliness and newness. I simply can't find anything to complain about. Everything is perfect: the furniture, the renovation, the plumbing, the bed linens, the towels. That's the only reason I would choose this hotel again. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They'll answer any question at reception, book a tour, and help. There's nothing but politeness everywhere. We had a Business+ room; it's 28 square meters and well-designed. It's quiet, with decent soundproofing. The hotel's location is probably ideal for tourists: the main landmarks are a 10-15-minute walk away, and Bauman Square is even less. In other words, the hotel is equidistant from the sights. It's very convenient! We found our stay comfortable and pleasant for the most part. There are some negatives, but they could have been highlighted, as you wouldn't expect such things in a 4-star hotel. But to be honest, I looked at the rates for standard rooms during normal times and can confidently say that for 5-6 thousand rubles a night, you can forget about the downsides. We still paid 12+ (we were on vacation, apparently, and that was the room category). So, the downsides: 1. Poor breakfasts. No porridge, the food was cold, the selection was small and odd. But you won't go hungry. 2. No toiletries (cotton pads, cotton swabs), even upon request. I haven't seen this for 15 years and was very surprised. This wasn't a problem for me (there's a store across the street), but it was incredibly surprising. And they do have toothbrushes. Toilet paper... well, you can't have that in a 4-star hotel. You can get better ones in shopping malls."

Kaganat Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian street. The location is very good, we liked it. The guy at the reception helped us with our suitcases, carried them up to the 2nd floor, and was always responsive and quick to answer our questions – great job! Trip.com, however, was disappointing; they didn't answer questions about payment. My card was charged 14,641.64 for 2 nights, but the voucher showed 13,770₽. I booked two rooms. We never received a response. It's a shame that Trip.com doesn't provide feedback."

Markov Hotel ★★★★
"This is by far the most unpleasant hotel I've ever stayed in. Its only positive point is its proximity to the tourist area, making it convenient for souvenir shopping. First, the hotel gave the wrong address. Even the address on their door didn't match the one on their email website. When I arrived, they didn't answer my phone calls. I finally found the hotel by comparing photos one by one. When I checked in, the staff just said, "Oh, really? That's strange!" The room reeked of formaldehyde, and there were male hairs on the tableware, blankets, and door. The bathroom had poor water pressure, switching randomly between boiling hot and ice cold. The shower was incredibly cramped. On weekend nights, the bar across from the hotel blasted loud music until 4 a.m., and there was vomit at my doorstep in the morning. How dare a hotel like this claim to be a four-star hotel?! It's a complete scam, like a small private inn. On the first day of our two-night stay, we only had one bottle of water, and on the second day, there was no water at all. Is water really that expensive? The room was very hot for some reason. There was a blower sound in the next room from the moment I checked in. There was no water in the room."

Neo Kazan Palace by Tasigo Hotel ★★★★
"Conveniently located: close to the airport and main attractions. The hotel is fresh, with lots of greenery in the hallways. There's a minibar in the room (very modest), and toiletries (toothpaste in tablet form) are available. Service is spotless: very polite and fast. The linens aren't very clean, insects fly in when you open the window, and the light switches don't work properly. The food is average; it's ok, but not tasty and doesn't live up to the standard the hotel claims. The gym, pool, and spa are available for an additional fee."

Kazan Palace by Tasigo Hotel ★★★★★
"Kazan Palace by Tasigo is a hotel with impressive style. The property is set in what was apparently a former factory, and the common areas embrace this history with amazing loft-inspired design. The atmosphere is striking and full of character. The rooms, located in the building’s former administrative section, are very different — but equally impressive. They are spacious, with high ceilings, cozy comfort, and fully equipped with the amenities expected of a 5-star property: bathrobe, slippers, iron, and board. Unfortunately, other aspects of the stay don’t live up to the same standard. The breakfast was disappointing: uninspired food, lacking flavor, and closer to what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel than a luxury property. The service also felt unnatural. Staff seemed overly scripted and cautious, as if afraid to make a mistake. Instead of warm and genuine hospitality, interactions often felt robotic, which created a frustrating ambiance for guests. In summary: Kazan Palace by Tasigo is worth visiting for its design and the comfort of its rooms, but those expecting the warmth, service, and dining of a true 5-star hotel may leave underwhelmed."
