"The worst experience of the entire trip. A four-star hotel, but it felt like a guesthouse in a third-tier city. The facilities were extremely outdated, like something out of 1980s China. Much of the furniture was damaged, and the cleanliness was poor. The doors, floors, furniture, and locks all exuded cheapness. The room lacked almost everything you'd need; there was barely any furniture. No coffee machine, no kettle, and only a few napkins were provided. Most unbearable of all, there wasn't even a USB charging port. The refrigerator was crammed full, and everything was charged separately. Room cleaning was incredibly slow; it wasn't done until 3 PM, and we had to ask them to start. The front desk staff had a forced smile; I don't know how they got such good reviews! Ctrip should really warn guests to avoid hotels like this!"

"I visited Centenari in Valencia on Sunday 25 January 2026 with my family. This was meant to be a treat and a special breakfast experience at what is presented as a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of that promise. We waited around 20 minutes before anyone took our order, despite the restaurant being quiet and clearly not busy. From the outset, the lack of urgency and attentiveness was noticeable and disappointing. The service throughout breakfast was poor. Communication was difficult, with staff frequently failing to understand us, which only added to the delays. The quality of the food and drinks did not match the pricing or the five-star positioning. The coffee and hot chocolate were not good, and overall the standard of what was served did not justify the cost, which was extremely high for what we received. This felt like a basic offering being sold at a premium price. What makes this more frustrating is that during this trip I was staying at Only YOU Hotel Valencia, where the level of customer service was consistently excellent. The contrast could not have been clearer. Quite frankly, the team at Centenari would benefit from visiting Only YOU to see what good service actually looks like in practice. The final disappointment was the bill, which arrived incorrect and then took a further 15 minutes to resolve, with no clear explanation provided. I am a seasoned traveller and return to Valencia frequently, but I will not return to this hotel. I share this feedback constructively and would welcome the hotel reaching out if they would like more detail. I am happy to help, but this experience was highly disappointing."
