"Good food and fantastic spa. However, this is no way a five star hotel. The pictures of the hotel give the impression that it is in a secluded location with fantastic views. It is not. My room had a view of a roof a gutter and a wall. No air conditioning meant having the balcony door open all night while roasting in the heat with the added discomfort of smelling people’s secondhand cigarette smoke. The staff is either uninterested or not empowered to resolve issues. When I asked for some slippers for the spa I was told they no longer offer them due to ecological reasons but somehow they’re for sale. That’s not an ecological problem, that is a financial problem. I didn’t find the property to be very transparent in their advertisements or dealings with customers."

"POSITIVE: - Friendly staff - Good location. Lake is 15mins bike ride away and int he back of the hotel there is a path to hike. - We stayed at the Bambini suite MICKEY. Very spacious. - Horse stables are cute our pony riding was a highlight for our son. NEGATIVE: - WiFi connectivity very poor. Not available at all in some public places. - Kitchen staff friendly but not professional, e.g. didn’t know the dishes on the menu - Kids club facilities run down and in the basement. Doesn’t feel like a hotel facility at all. - No air conditioning. Extremely hot in the room and restaurant. Asked for a fan but were told that it cools down at night. - Restaurant facilities way too little and hence very crowded. We ate quickly and left immediately after as it was just not an inviting atmosphere. - Kitchen smell travels all the way into the second floor hallway - No view from breakfast and dining area except of a busy road or parking lot. - Food quality poor and limited options. - SPA staff not trained properly; I think one of the worst massages I ever had."

"We booked the apartment Karwendel for our stay. We particularly liked the very beautiful balcony, oriented south with its magnificent view. The apartment is best equipped and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The renter was very nice and very friendly. We had our little dog with which was also warmly welcome. Parking is available directly before the accommodation, and bicycles can be safely placed in a closed container. The SPAR market is particularly practical, which is directly opposite, where you can buy everything for the daily needs. There are also many restaurants near the accommodation, where you can eat very well. The Achensee is reachable in about 15 minutes walking distance. The bike also allows great tours in the beautiful surroundings. Overall we have felt very well and can recommend the accommodation in full."

"Lovely hotel for anyone seeking relaxation and quietness. The pool was 31 degrees and big enough. The garden was beautiful. Full board was mostly ok; good quality but lacked taste. The hotel did not have AC or any kind of ventilation, and that was a nightmare because it was hot. Fortunately the surroundings were so quiet that the window could stay open at nights. If the hotel had an AC, better mattresses and finer linen, it would have been absolutely perfect hotel."

"Deceptive experience in restaurant – never again! Our visit to the restaurant of Hotel Beretta was a great disappointment. The chicken was not fresh – it tasted as if it had been cooked and only heated days ago. The potatoes were also old, and the salad was half black and apparently destroyed. When I told the server gentlemen, she did not respond professionally – she took the dishes out without words and answered me angryly in Italian. No new food was offered or an excuse was made. After that the servant was simply disappeared. We left the restaurant and went back to the room. I feel very unwell and just wish to go home. I can't absolutely recommend this hotel and I will definitely never come back here. Review: 0 of 5 stars."

"Very clean, small hotel with an excellent restaurant. We ate there the entire week because every dish was so good. My 7-year-old daughter and I had a great time relaxing. We don't ski, but we went horseback riding every day at a neighboring hotel. I liked the peace and quiet of the hotel, the coziness, and the view of the mountains. The day began with a very good, fresh breakfast. Overall, Achenkirch is a small, sleepy town with no shopping and not overly busy areas, which is exactly why it's so relaxing. A visit to the Erfurther Hütte is highly recommended; it can be reached directly from Maurach by free bus. I haven't felt more refreshed in a long time."
