"Very good location. Arrival/check-in was cumbersome. Staff costs are passed on to the guest, who is apparently a hotel employee. Unnecessary collection of the second guest's personal data – why? The car lift takes a very long time, resulting in queues on the day of departure. Breakfast was abysmal: too few (very helpful and friendly) staff, the buffet chronically empty, and the "scrambled egg machine" was an exceptionally stupid idea (inefficient, complicated, and unhygienic. Guests are expected to help out here too, cleaning the machine after use with a wet cloth provided next to it...). A thermos of coffee is included with breakfast, but all other coffees must be purchased at the bar. The hotel isn't so cheap that one would want to put up with that. The room was clean and functional, which was acceptable."

"This hotel is absolutely in vain. They use internet celebrity ads to attract guests, but in fact, the service and hygiene are very poor. After we checked in, we found two curly hairs stuck in the small towel. I went out in the morning to request cleaning, and when I came back in the evening, I found that only the bed was made, the half glass of water on the table was not touched and the drinking water was not refilled. When I opened the bathroom, I found that the towels and bath towels were not washed. If they don't improve it, not only will I not come back, but I will also advise everyone not to come again."

"This is a lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We had a Mountain View room on the fourth floor that was spacious and clean. We had a balcony with chairs to watch the sun go down. Everyone has time to talk to you, from the staff at the front desk to the room attendants and restaurant staff. We had the half board option and have to say that the food was superb. It was beautifully presented and fresh. There was a good choice and the menu changed daily. The only gripe I have is that we were charged 7chf for tap water. This is common practice in Switzerland now. When you buy an expensive bottle of wine each night, it grates to have to pay for something that is essentially a human right. The spa area was extensive with sauna and steam rooms along with indoor and outdoor pools. In our package, we were entitled to a massage. Helga was amazing and tailored our treatment to accommodate our aches and pains! She really helped my back problem and took time to explain exercises that would help. Another plus was free access to all the gondolas and cable cars in the area, along with buses. This was a huge saving. It was the first time we had been to Adelboden and it won’t be our last! Thank you to all the staff for their warm welcome!"

"The concept is exciting and suited us as a family well. You can't stay more centrally in Adelboden than on the village square. With the hiking passes we were able to explore all the mountains for free and enjoyed the many hiking opportunities. The kitchen is well equipped and there is just enough space in the room for four people. The underground car park in the basement and the food and shopping options on the ground floor and in the immediate vicinity round off the good offer. The fact that the problem of the jammed bathroom door is known (and is written on the door) but will not be fixed for another two months is a no-go (yes, our boys locked themselves in twice and we had to force the door open)."

"The hotel was very cozy and comfortable. It was my first time staying in this type of hotel. It was dark when I checked in today, and I'm looking forward to the view from the balcony tomorrow morning. Overall, I really liked it."

"Excellent hotel in all ways. The management are so friendly and helpful. My room was large with a fabulous bathroom, balcony and great view of the mountains. The bed was comfortable with a lovely lightweight but warm duvet. Both breakfast and dinner exceeded expectations, dinner especially was amazing quality every night. The ski boot room is heated with plenty space for everyone's skis and boots. It is a short (100m) walk from the town lift which takes you to the main lift up to the ski area. A further 20m and you are in the main street with ski shops, amazing bakeries and a couple of supermarkets."

"I have been going to the Hotel Alpina for ski holidays since I was a child and have loved it ever since. Now I have been there for the first time with my 7-month-old daughter and I was delighted again. Superbly equipped for children, very friendly staff, fantastic food/buffet, as well as a beautifully renovated dining room, comfortable, clean rooms, competent and courteous administration. Simply fantastic all round! I recommend the Hotel Alpina to all families (we have been there for years as an extended family with uncles, aunts, cousins ​​and grandparents) but also with friends or alone and as a couple, it offers everything you could wish for!
