"We stayed here for 2 weeks arriving on the 21st of May . We were greeted with a nice friendly smile from reception. After paying the tourists tax at £60 per week we were shown to room 109 which is right across from the reception and lift . Now the room itself was stunning and spotless . Quite spacious and a double bed with a nice comfortable mattress. It could do with another set of drawers for more storage. Unfortunately this room has patio doors leading to the terrace which is right on the path to and from the pool and reception. You have no privacy at all here so get used to saying hi every two minutes to the people walking past. The bathroom is very modern but unfortunately it has an open shower with no cubicle so every time you shower the water goes everywhere and everything gets soaked then you have to mop all the water up . Not great at all. After a week we decided enough was enough and asked for a move . We were told we could move to room 212 . It was night and day with a shower cubicle and a balcony with a great view of the pool and sea. We don’t know why we allocated room 109 in the first place as we upgraded when we booked our holiday last July to a deluxe room with a balcony 🤷‍♂️. The hotel and the pool area are absolutely stunning and spotless ,the cleaners are a real credit to the hotel and it is only a 5 minute walk to the numerous bars and restaurants . The staff who serve and look after you are so friendly and always with a smile . The only complaint we have apart from our original room is the hot food at breakfast. We had Greek yogurt and honey every morning and that was tasty but the hot food we tried was always cold not luke warm but literally freezing . Some hot trays or better heat lamps really are needed to keep the food warm . We didn’t eat at the hotel for lunch or dinner but there is a very good menu and the food we seen coming out looked very good. Also I would do away with the mini bar in the room and replace it with a proper fridge . So all in all we had a fantastic time at the Lagaria Palace and if the hot food and a proper fridge was in the room then it would be absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel but stay away from room 109 unless you don’t mind your privacy or mopping up the bathroom floor after a shower."

"I have had many holidays at the Achtis, and I never come away disappointed! Being greeted at the airport with Kristina for our transfer to the hotel just makes that journey so much easier. Arriving at the hotel, you just feel so welcomed by the wonderful staff. They are genuinely all very happy to see you and all strive to make you have the best holiday possible. This year I took up the offer of HB, and was very impressed with the food choices available. At breakfast time you have a large selection of cooked, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, homemade cakes and the most amazing freshly baked bread!! The evening meals were delicious, where every evening you had different meals offered. There is an amazing bar area, with a great atmosphere, a lovely way to end the evening! The rooms are very stylish and standard of cleanliness is very high throughout the whole hotel premises. I can highly recommend this wonderful hotel and cant wait to book for next year!!"

"Great hotel. We visited at the very end of season when the season was ending and clearly the locals were gearing down after a busy season, but still the owner and the staff made us feel very welcome. The rooms are immaculate and modern, the pool area is also very nicely organised with comfortable sun beds and seating. Breakfast was great. The hotel is nice and quiet, but very close to the centre of the village. Afitos is a beautiful little village.. Very authentic with a lovely local primary school almost next door. Can't recommend this hotel enough, and hopefully we will be back soon."
