"There was daily cleaning, the smart TV was great, the staff was nice, their confidentiality was almost too much. The kitchen could be normal, but it is very poorly equipped (no microwave, kitchen appliances, cutting knife, plate, dish, small glasses, kitchen equipment, etc.), 1 of the 3 air conditioners worked normally, 2 trash cans (August 2023)."

"The pool area is by far the best I've seen in Zante and the room was kept clean but the water in the shower was so cold that we had to shower in the communal area in the new part of the hotel. We complained several times and were told to try different things such as "run the taps" etc which we did. Travelling with young children having to go out of the hotel and across the road to shower was a real pain which ould deter me from going again."

"This was our second stay at the hotel. The first was a last minute booking and we had a great time. Our second was just as good despite the weather. We had a thunderstorm one night and there was flooding around the area. We literally sat in Nikos restaurant watching the road flood and some of the paths were under 6 inches of water. It was fun and everyone seemed to just accept it. Yes the rooms are basic, we have had 2 different ones, but that wouldn't stop us staying again. We were self catering so only ate evening meals and they were good value. Plenty of good restaurants nearby too. If you want 5 star go somewhere. If you want friendly owners and staff stay here."

"I slept on a veranda created by expanding the ground-floor porch. An internal partition and thick awnings ensure privacy and open onto a splendid view. There are small imperfections, like a few broken tiles or older furniture, but the main things are fine: cleanliness, a comfortable mattress, and kind and helpful staff. If, like me, you're visiting during the warmer months, I recommend paying the small daily supplement for air conditioning. The location is magnificent for the beach, and right nearby you'll find a small restaurant, a beach bar, and an excellent traditional taverna... if you want to head downtown for shopping or nightlife, you'll need transportation (even just a bike) because it's a long 20-minute walk with bags. Recommended for the atmosphere and proximity to the beach. PS: The tap water is not drinkable on the island of Zakynthos, so be sure to buy at least a supply of water to keep in the refrigerator."

"We stayed in a one bedroom apartment above the restaurant. Lovely and clean with one double and one single bed. Towels changed regularly. Great shower, everything you need self catering to do a breakfast, lunch etc. We ate out every evening, loads of restaurants to choose from! Kettle, small induction hob with induction pans. TV, hairdryer and clothes airer on the balcony. The owner is only a phone call away and very helpful if you have any problems."

"A family run hotel. Very clean and well run. Rooms were refreshed daily. Towels and bedding every 3 days. Owners were warm welcoming people that happily engaged with guests while running the place. They have a bar next door and a restaurant next to the bar. We had a family wedding near by and 26+ people staying there and all of us felt at home for the 2 week we were there. The bar is run by Nicos and Charlotte. Brilliant couple that love engaging with guests and having a good time with you while you are in the bar. Thank you to Gerry and Mihaela Nicos and Charlotte And their team"

"Clean hotel, excellent staff and food at pool area is great, prices and bit more expensive, but to be expected, 4 star? Maybe the newly constructed rooms across the road, but the older rooms more like 3 star, which makes a difference on the tourist tax. Alikanas though is an excellent area for you to stay and explore the island"

"Steep climb to get to the rooms, because the car park is at least 100 meters away. Insufficient cleaning 2 times in 9 days, and this after our own reminder to the management. No TV in the room, small kitchenette with minimal utensils. Annoying noises during the night on a daily basis. I would not go back.!"
