Club Bentota ★★★★

"Very disappointing stay. The room AC was not working properly, making it quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was not clean, and the water was salty. The floor also felt sticky, which was unpleasant. Housekeeping services were very poor, and even basic facilities like a room phone were not available. The pool was poorly maintained — it was dirty, had moss particles, and the water was also salty. Check-in took over 1.5 hours, which was extremely frustrating. Even with discounted prices, this hotel is not worth it. I would not recommend booking here. However, the view is very nice, and the beach is beautiful, which was the only positive aspect of the stay."

"It is a very fantastic and unforgettable stay at Lucky Prince Villa. We had five day stay and it is very enjoyable period. First of all, I must remember the breakfast we had. It is very tasty .It consist with various types of fruits and other foods. And also dinner is exceeding our expectations. We took Sri Lankan traditional "Rice and Curry", and Sea Food. So, Our rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. The decorations are very eye catching. Very clean rooms and Value for Money. I will definitely visit again."

Grand Lotus Bentota ★★

"The hotel is in a beautiful location. Only one hotel employee took care of all hotel tasks, and he was nice. We booked 3 nights. Instead of the room we booked, we were given a different room for the first two days. The air conditioning was broken and very hot. Through the large window, all the pedestrians outside could see us. The large window had no curtain. The room was not that nice, tidy, or clean. The room we had booked had been rented out to another guest. We got the room we had booked on the last day. The room with a sea view was nice, and the air conditioning worked. We had a very good breakfast! European and Sri Lankan dishes."

Arena Hotel ★★★

"The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful . Especially Laxman and Samith from the restaurant, Thimira from the coffee shop. Also warm words for Saman, not sure what are his exact responsibilities but if you ned a boat ride or whatever else, you get it asap. Rooms are clean, infrastructure is not a resort like, but if you want a calm stay outside the crowd, Arena is a good choice. "

Hotel Hemadan ★

"Though unassuming at first, Hotel Hemadan has proven to be an exemplary stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and it truly feels like you have been welcomed into someone's home. The establishment is close to multiple water sports centers (I'd recommend De Silva's), and the town is just a short walk away. Breakfast is served daily, and no request is too much for the kindly chef. The food is excellent, particularly the local fare (be sure to ask for some dhal and string hoppers!). The best part by far however, is the view. Sitting on the banks of the Bentota River, this hotel provides endless scenes to gaze at. From wild birds flying back and forth to catch their breakfasts to water monitors sunbathing right next to the hotel pier, it is a true tapestry of nature. We cannot wait to come stay again."
