Hotel Alegria Gardens Amakusa ★★★
"They were very kind."
HINOKINO HOTEL ★★
"The room was stylish, and the front desk was friendly and helped me carry my luggage up to the upper floor. I was a little bothered by the hair and trash in the room. I would have liked some slippers."
Eco Hotel Assist ★★
"It was a convenient location with a convenience store and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, and the provided loungewear was nice. There was also plenty of parking space."
Travel Inn Yunohana ★★
"Family run, very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and highly recommended. Located in an onsen village (property has a nice onsen) and close to community footbath."
Boyokaku ★★★
"It was a good price for a four-night stay as a solo traveller, but the view from the room and the dining options were a bit disappointing."
Yumehotaru Ryokan, Amakusa Shimoda Onsen ★★★
"After touring Mikata Nishi Port, we visited Amakusa Shimoda Onsen. The rustic hot spring town has the scent of the good old Showa era. Hotel Yumehotaru has a large parking lot in front of the entrance. When we arrived and went to the front desk, the female staff member replied enthusiastically when we said we wanted to stop by and take a bath. We forgot our towels, so she lent us one. We went further in and found the indoor bath. The changing room was also well-maintained. It was around 1pm, so we had it all to ourselves. It was very well maintained, with the hot spring water gushing out. There were cups at the outlet. The water is probably fresh enough to drink. The water temperature was about 41.2 degrees. The large bath was very relaxing and clean. It was worth coming, even though it took more than two hours one way. This is a hotel with a large hot spring bath that you should definitely stay overnight and take a bath in the morning, afternoon, and evening."
Yasuragiso ★★★
"I couldn't eat fish, so I had a fried chicken served instead of fish dishes for dinner. Of course, I don't want you to replace it with me. The fried chicken is delicious! It's so delicious that it can be used as a signboard product in the store! As with breakfast, all of them were delicious. Overall, everywhere is clean and feels good. The hot springs also have hot baths and lukewarm baths, which are very easy to take a bath and clean. There is nothing in the location (laughs) and it is healed in a quiet place. You can recommend it with peace of mind!"
Hotel Sun Road ★★★
"Clean and comfy. Right next to Lawson's and walking distance to several restaurants and izakayas. Free parking at hotel!"
Shimoda-Onsen Kuturoginoyado Maruko ★★
"The facilities are old, but the staff were very kind. The food was plentiful and satisfying."

Amakusa Prince Hotel
"Although the facilities are a little old, I could tell they were making an effort to provide the food. The food was so good I couldn't finish it. It was delicious."
Gosoku No Kutsu
"All the rooms were detached and maisonette-style, so we were able to enjoy the feeling of a very reasonable villa. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so we couldn't see the starry sky, but the open-air bath was amazing."
Ryokan Igaya
"The service was excellent! Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I usually don't eat breakfast, but I had seconds! I was also very satisfied with the relaxing soak in the hot springs."
Hotel Kawacho
"It had many regular customers and a very homey atmosphere. Below the window, you could see the mountains of Hondo across the sea, with mountain mist hanging over the houses, which made for a beautiful view."
Ryokan Amuri
"Nice hotel, very distinctive and foreign combination building, the big bath is also very special, the food is good, the waiters are warm and courteous, and the scenery on the mountain next to it is beautiful."
B and C Hotel (Capsule Hotel Amakusa)
"The friendly but polite front desk and the necessary and sufficient amenities made the solo trip exciting."
Hiranoya Ryokan
"Thank you very much for the other day. My mother is elderly and has difficulty walking, so we were able to stay in a room with no steps, close to the toilet, and the futon was fluffy and comfortable, allowing our family to relax and unwind. We also had a series of surprises, including a boatman's sashimi meal for about 10 people, eating in a safe, and having our own toilet each time. We were given lots of fish as souvenirs, and we are very grateful. My mother is elderly, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to stay again, but we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you, Mrs. and Mrs."
Emiya Ryokan
"I've always wanted to go on a trip to Amakusa. I was trying to get as close to my ideal accommodation budget as possible during Golden Week... and Eimiya Inn came up as a good option, so I made a reservation. The room and breakfast were both very satisfying, and I was able to relax in the bath, which was great. I definitely want to stay there again next time. Thank you for everything. And the Torii Gate in the Sky at Kuratakeyama Mountain was amazing!"
