"Sweet boutique hotel down a side street in Archanes. Open the gate and you pass into a little Eden. Parking is a few feet away and the town square and tavernas are an easy stroll. Right around the corner is a mini market and a bakery. The room was cozy and we even lit a fire one night. They arranged for a fabulous birthday cake to surprise me on my birthday. The breakfast was delicious and filling and delivered to a table outside our door. The owner and staff were lovely. High recommendation."

"The room is simple, yet very nice to look at, we had some of the best nights ever: very restful. The general ambiance is worth staying outside the big city, in my opinion. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff is helpful and friendly. The pool was chilly, but that's because we came at the beginning of the season I think. It was overall a very good experience! Will come back for sure, but next time perhaps more in middle season."

"This is a step above any other place that we have stayed in Greece over the past two weeks. The town is charming as were our hosts. We were close enough to see the archaeological and cultural landmarks in Iraklion and the surrounding area. Our host gave us great advice on how to see them and where to park. We would like to come back to Crete and just stay here as a launching point to see more in the area."

"We stayed in Drosostalida House 24-26 May, wish we stayed longer. It was quiet and peaceful. Definitely traditional and historic village. Bed, pillows comfortable, kitchen, bathroom complete with everything you need. Beautiful private gardens. We walked everywhere, (we had a car parked in the public car park) met friendly shopkeepers (Art by Kostis) (Myrro Skincare) and ate exciting, new Cretan food, from Taverna Spitiko and Likastos Tavern. Maria who showed us in was one of the best parts of Archanes. The owner also assisted us with recommendations on everything. Lots to do here in surrounding areas. We loved everything and everyone about this place and town."
