Hôtel Inn Design & Restaurant Sedan
"Bravo"
Ibis Budget Givet
"Superb hotel! I highly recommend it. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very clean. They sell toasted sandwiches and pizzas in the evening, which is great. I highly recommend it."
Campanile Charleville Mezieres
Kyriad Charleville Mezieres

Premiere Classe Charleville-Mezieres
"Convenient location"
Ibis Charleville-Mézières
"We have used Ibis hotels over a number of years with some better than others. This one, whilst not having perhaps the largest of rooms was excellent in all aspects. Plenty of parking (allowed to park our motorcycle fairly close to reception), nice friendly efficient welcome and a very nice bar area. We took dinner and breakfast in the clean well laid out dining room. Fairly simple menu but really nicely cooked food, well priced drinks and all in all very good value for money. To summarise: excellent staff and service, clean accommodation (thankfully with air con), decent food and value for money. Easy access from A34 autoroute. Just what an Ibis should be."
Logis Hôtel-Restaurant la Sapinière
"This was the fourth time we had stayed here and as usual we were delighted. From the warm welcome from Madame it was excellent. We ate outside and the meal was superb. Imaginatively presented and cooked from the amuse bouche (gorgeous) to the vibrant desserts. Breakfast was generous with beautiful buttery croissants and a good range of other breads, savouries and jams. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable with a nice roomy shower. The staff are all so friendly - the waiting staff deserve special praise on such a busy evening. This is a great family run hotel and we will be definitely returning."

Hôtel les Boucles de Meuse
"Lovely hotel on the bank of the River Meuse in the middle on Montherme. It is very easy to find and had private parking for our motorcycles. There is ample free car parking at the front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Thomas speaks very good English and, as he had recently passed his motorcycle test, we had plenty to talk about. The food is very good and well priced. Thank you for looking after us Thomas and safe motorcycling."
Chateau de Wallerand
"As each room cost €285 per night and the hotel boasted a great restaurant, we had high hopes for our one night stay. We could not book our evening meal via ******* and when we tried, we found the restaurant fully booked. As it was also a religious holiday many of the other local restaurants were also closed. So we ate a picnic from Intermarche that evening. The WiFi signal is very weak so the TV didn't work and it was difficult to use any laptops or notebooks. The attitude of the young men on duty was in effect "tant pis". Then the following morning when all the guests had gone down for breakfast, they discovered their room keys no longer worked when they returned to their rooms. So queues at reception to get all their keys reprogrammed and I did not hear a single word of apology from the staff. It seemed as if all this was quite normal. Breakfast was ok for 25 euros pp but the menu was very limited compared to other much cheaper places we stayed in this area. The decor throughout seemed rather unimaginative given the nature and history of the building. So although the rooms were comfortable and air-conditioned, I'm really not sure our stay was worth all that money."
Hotel Val Saint Hilaire
"The staff were quick to accept a group and served the first courses 2.5 hours later, and 1 hour for drinks. We almost left. After making comments, the cold dishes arrived quickly, but with lots of errors in the dishes. The plates were well-stocked, but the hotel is very messy, which leaves something to be desired! We will definitely not return to this establishment."
La Corrérie
Auberge en Ardenne
"Nicest restaurant in the village. This place has a nice regional menu and an outdoor seating area facing the river. We organized a reception there for my dad 88 th birthday and everything was amazing. the owner and his wife were easy to work with and the menu turned out to be great. Thank you."
Chateau de l Aviette - Rancennes
"We spent one night at Château de l’Aviette. A lovely building, well-located for cyclists: the Trans-Ardennes route passes right by the property. The bedding was very good quality, the welcome was friendly, and the owners were accommodating. However, we noted a few areas for improvement regarding value for money: offering breakfast with fresh, local products and less over-packaged items (pre-baked bread and frozen pastries, processed foods), better Wi-Fi, newer bath linens, and the lack of a kettle in the room. The château changed ownership in 2023."
Chambres du Petit Bois
"The hotel is very clean and very clean. Super breakfast ! Contact by email with all the information needed and even more! Great heartbeat for the reception of our guest ! We were like a friend ! Address to be kept at any price !"
Camping les Naïades
"A truly superb campsite. A really warm and friendly welcome and the facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. Hot showers clean WC - cannot recommend this site enough. Quiet and lots of space - we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay"
Le Saint Michel
"Perfect hotel, near All Shops and Visits Perfect 👍"
Hotel César Climatisation Dans la majorité des Chambres Centre-Ville Gare Charleville-Mézières
"We were promised a beautiful room, but upon arrival, we were given a room in the attic, on the top floor, with crooked stairs, a tiny, sloping room with beams directly above the bed, barely 15cm from our heads—incredibly dangerous. It was nothing like the photos on ***********. There was no fitted sheet, just a mattress protector that was completely stained with a yellow ring, and a towel stained with blood. Absolutely shameful, 0/10. I strongly advise against staying here, and we will definitely never return!"
Hôtel de Paris
"What you see is what you get. Very charming hotel, with nice, friendly hosts, located in an old building with all the comfort you expect though. Quiet rooms, fully equipped. with TV and a bath/WC en suite. The bed linen were very fresh and clean, so were the towels. All in all the room and the hotel were clean. Perfectly located in front of the railway station and walking distance from the heart of the town. Best price-performance ratio."
Logis le Saint Hubert
"This is a review of the restaurant only. In 1980 with my parents, we stayed at a Logis de France at Haybes. I recall the main hotel was on a street a short way from the river Meuse, although we stayed in an annex a short walk away, with views over the Meuse. I am not sure this is the same place but as we were staying in a gite not too far away we decided to try it out for lunch. I am not sure if the Hotel has it's own parking but we found a place right outside so this was not an issue. On entering we were welcomed and shown to a table near the window. The menus and wine menu were brought and aperitifs ordered. I ordered a beer which came from a town in the Ardennes Dept, which we had driven through the previous day. The menu was not large but gave a perfectly reasonable choice. My wife had the pate while I had the assiette due charcuterie. Lovely food, well presented. The we both had the entrecote de boeuf, medium (a point). It was cooked to the perfect a point. A bottle of red wine was ordered although I just cannot remember what it was. Nice service and an understanding our French might not be that great. As my wife was driving we (I) saved some of the wine for her and the waitress kindly supplied a small cork top to ensure we got it all back to the gite. Good, unpretentious, but nice French restaurant. Would happily go back there if I am ever near by."
