"Beautiful hotel in the countryside of Arzua, removed from the city center (10 km). Free taxi from the Camino stop in Arzua. Very nice room, delicious dinner and breakfast. Very nice duty manager. Great selection of wine. But don't ask for Tinro de Verano (= a popular refreshment in the Spanish summer, made of red wine, sparkling water and lemon - the guy was offended from the idea."

"This place is magical. It truly has been my favorite place I’ve stayed at while walking the Camino. In fact, it may have been the best place I’ve stayed at throughout all my travels in life! The Spanish style home is absolutely beautiful from the inside and out. The architecture is outstanding. Each inch of the property is incredibly charming, cozy, comforting, and beyond peaceful. I laid out in the backyard watching the clouds roll by, received a WONDERFUL massage from Claudia (the staff on site can call her to your room or the back patio) that perfectly helped my sore muscles post-Camino walk, enjoyed Cortados on the patio, and had the tastiest homemade meal ever!!!!! Highly recommend the scallops, steak, and tomato salad. The staff on site was extremely attentive, warm, thoughtful and kind. This place felt like home. ♥️"

"The manor house is old and furnished in the “olde worlde” style. Our room on the second floor was on the smaller side, but not cramped. However, the bed linen was crisp and white and a real pleasure to sleep in! Breakfast was adequate with the usual cereals, bread, cold cuts and fruits. Hot dishes were scrambled eggs, bacon and fried frankfurters- guess should have been sausages? Dinner was well-cooked food, nothing fancy, but delicious. The swimming pool is outside/outdoor and quite a distance from the main house. Overall had a pleasant stay."

"All of our accommodations along the Camino were comfortable and welcoming, but Casa Assumpta we will remember like home. Peaceful surroundings - quiet and retreat-like - very welcoming and easily the best food we had on the Camino. Some of the best food we’ve had anywhere in fact. Arnau was warm and helpful and really seems to be the heart of this place. Especially in the kitchen. If you are looking at a map Casa Assumpta might seem off the path a bit, but trust me, this is a good thing. And there is a shuttle, so there is no excuse not to stay here! If - when - we come back to beautiful Galicia, we will spend some quality time here again. Thank you Arnau for your warmth and hospitality when we needed it most!"
