"We had dinner at the River House Inn restaurant, both of us for the first time. What an elegant but unpretentious place! A pre-dinner cocktail with other guests on the porch overlooking the North Fork of the New River was a real treat. Our seating was perfect, a quiet and intimate table for two. Our server Cassandra (may have been Kassandra) was attentive and personable. My dining partner enjoyed her mussels, and I my spinach salad. She raved about her pork ribeye and I raved about my red snapper. I wasn't about to leave without bread pudding for dessert. A true highlight was getting to speak with Gayle Winston, whom I hadn't seen for 30 years. I've already recommended River House Inn Restaurant to friends, and highly recommended it to anyone."
