"We have always liked The Lodge. Everyone is so nice. In our most recent stay, we didn't really have interactions with the staff. We love the pool and hot tub. The area where those are is clean. Our room was clean. It had enough space for the two of us. The bathroom was clean and spacious."

"Asked for a room near elevator when we booked ahead online in early evening, but when we got to our room it was as far away from the elevator as possible. Don’t know if that was all that was left at 9:30 when we arrived or what. Didn’t seem very full. Didn’t complain because we didn’t want the hassle of moving our stuff. Also, many Fairfield and Marriott hotels, including this one, now have very low toilets. Might be good for kids, but for older travelers with bad knees who are not otherwise “handicapped,” (which is a sizable part of the travel community) this is a problem as it is hard to get up and down. Taller toilets or routinely putting grab bars in all the bathrooms would make things better."

"We had a reservation to see the eclipse. We booked 4 months ago. They called today, 6 days before our reservation to say “something broke” and they had to cancel us. They would not give us another room at a comparable price. Looked on the website and they have openings for 4 times what we paid for the same type of room. NOT OKAY!"
